female A Sprite of Omoania - Fantasy / Sandbox Interactive Story

Recommended Posts

Quite the wide spread of votes so far, although we're starting to develop some front runners. I'm happy to see everyone so engaged with the various choices and possibilities. Just a reminder that voting for this part will close on Tuesday September 19th, which means I'll basically do a final tally the following morning and start writing based off of that.

I just wanted to pop in and clarify a few points I saw being discussed here. First, is that target traits will apply for the entire expedition, even if you aren't explicitly doing a action on the target themselves. Think of it like an aura that they exude that effects all your actions while you're focused on them. Things like Free Spirit are only limited to the target, but all the stat modifying traits aren't. This is just to keep things as straight forward as possible once we get into it.

Next is earning skill points. Most scenarios that don't end in a designated toilet will score you a point, but high bladder % can be scored twice. Once for getting the target up to 80%, and once for crossing the 100% threshold (which not necessarily a wetting once you get to that point). My basic thought was that getting to 80% would require at least one successful bathroom delay, while 100% would require at least two or more. The same one or two point scoring applies to leaking vs full wetting as well. And if worst comes to worst and the target makes it to a toilet despite our best efforts, the altars of Omoania can provide a supplemental income so that we can always level something up for next time.

Last thing is about general pacing. Ideally, I was thinking that a typical run that successfully gets a target up to 100% bladder capacity would consist of about four or five turns/posts. Long enough to cause a bunch of mischief, but hopefully not overstaying a welcome for someone who wanted a different target. Then we'll repeat the leveling/location selection and start anew. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the weekend.

Tch, drat. No matter, we'll probably get enough level ups to nearly circumvent the -10% debuffs anyway. I still feel the higher risk targets are the way to greater rewards but thanks for clarifying a few points.
as well as my own delusions regarding Fiona's predicament

Thanks for the clarification. I'll change my vote to Pinna for a possible bedwetting, but Fiona's a close second since fox girl. Is it possible these characters will return for later scenarios?

Final Vote Tallies:

  • Roy – 1 Vote

  • Gela – 1 Vote

  • Pinna – 5 Votes

  • Fiona – 6 Votes

-------------------------------------------------------------------

While you were quite torn between the possibilities offered by both Fiona and Pinna, you eventually settle on the foxy merchant and zip back towards main street. She is still hard at work haggling for her goods, although the crowd around the alleyway has somewhat diminished by this point. Committing yourself to the task ahead, you start by getting a more detailed lay of the land.

The vibrant wagon is neatly parked between a pair of two story buildings, providing a modicum of shade from the late afternoon sun. Both the main street and adjacent riverside street are both buzzing with the constant drone of foot traffic, the interior of the covered wagon itself being the only place to offer a modicum of privacy. Fiona’s various pelts, metal ingots, herbs, and trinkets are displayed prominently on a set of tables set up outside the wagon’s ajar rear door. Some of the goods appear to be stacking in a rather precarious way in an effort to maximize their visibility, and you suppose it wouldn’t be terribly hard to knock one of those stacks over….

Next, you quickly zip inside the wagon. The space within is cluttered and very well lived in with a small cot and several trunks of personal effects tucked against the forward wall. Spare laundry hangs on a thin wire that runs the length of the space while additional crates of goods line each wall. The foxkin must be rather nimble to navigate such a confined space without constantly tripping over herself. Maybe you could change the odds on that eventuality though.

After an exhaustive search, you cannot locate anything that would resemble bathroom facilities inside the wagon. You suppose Fiona could ask the neighboring shops to use their facilities, but your intuition tells you that traveling merchants are more likely to have a more formal agreement with the village leaders when it comes to matters like this. You just need to figure out what.

You pop back outside just in time to catch the tail end of an argument Fiona is having with a portly woman. “Five silvers?! Who do you think you are trying to stiff me like that? These are premium onyx weasel skins all the way from the forests of Feltri. I’ll be damned if I let them go for anything less than seven silvers apiece.” The foxkin growled, cross her arms over her ample breasts.

The portly woman only sniffed in return. “They’re of such poor quality that you’re lucky I’m even offering that much, fox. Only half the material is even usable, let along presentable. Twenty-five silver for all of them, final offer.”

“It’s not like I was the one doing the hunting or skinning, why do I have to get paid less?” Fiona humphed, drumming her fingers on the table as she mulled over the offer. After a few more tense seconds, you notice a sly smirk slowly draw across the foxkin’s face.

“Twenty-eight silver for all them. And….” She held up a finger to cut off the plump woman’s indignant rebuttal as her other hand darts across the table towards another pile of plush goods. “I’ll also throw in this adorable little stuffed bunny I saw you admiring earlier.” The doll’s twin button eyes stared up at the customer imploringly as Fiona danced it in an impromptu jig atop the black weasel pelts.

Sputtering in embarrassment as the show drew a few chuckles from the watching crowd, the plump woman finally drew out the requested coin. As she scooped her purchased goods up into her arms and scampered back away, Fiona deposited the money into a coin purse on her belt, grinning at the weighty clink they made as they slipped away into a bag that really shouldn’t normally be able to hold anywhere near that amount. As the transaction completes, you notice some blue balls of light bobbing excitedly over Fiona’s head. After a brief communication, you receive a reply that these are some of the sprites for one of the gods of merchants, receiving their own boons from the goods that changed hands. They seem unconcerned with whatever your goals are and you decide to likewise leave them to their own business. But their presence here does still give you sneaky idea…..

As Fiona relaxes and gives welcoming nods to the rest of her customers, you take the opportunity to properly study her. Her vibrant blue and white flowered dress flows elegantly around her lithe figure, often pushed this way and that by both her erratic movements and large bushy orange furred tail. She idly brushes a few stray strands of auburn hair and beads of sweat from her forehead and you realize that she’s likely been standing out here in the summer sun for most of the day. At her hip, you spot the still half full greater mana potion, along with a carefully hidden dagger. You also eye the coin purse, this time focusing on the rather well-worn draw sting that also holds it fast to the belt. Feeling a bit cheeky, you also briefly zip under the dress, marveling at the pristine white panties she’s wearing underneath before she steps away to help another customer.

Swooping back out a ways, you watch her for a bit, searching for any trace of desperation starting to set in. Just as you’re starting to worry she took a break while you were away, you spot that one of her feet has started to tap out a staccato rhythm whenever she stands still for too long. Her need is definitely there, slowly growing as the day drags on. And giving you some time to begin to set the wheels of what you hope is a rather wet afternoon in motion.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, Blackb1rd here, this is how typical voting will work. I’ll provide a number of suggestions for actions to do, each one belonging to one of the three attribute disciplines. All of these suggested actions will have a base % chance of success, usually somewhere in the 30-70% range. These base chances do not take various modifiers into account, but those will all come in when I make a roll for the action. These base % chances are not set in stone, and may change as the situation plays out as well as new actions becoming available.

Everyone has two votes they can put towards suggested actions per turn. You cannot vote for two different actions of the same attribute. For example, you can vote for a charisma action and conjuration action, but not two charisma actions in the same turn. I will also be counting both action votes from each person independently of each other, so it’s entirely possible half of your vote will be the winning option and the other half isn’t.

Once all the votes are tallied and I start writing the next part, I will roll a D100 for each action. (Yeah, I know a D20 is more traditional, but easy percentages make my monkey brain happy.) Getting less than or equal to the final success chance will pass the roll, rolling over will result in a failure. If we roll a 10 or less, we get a critical success, but a roll of 90 or greater will result in a critical failure.

You can also choose to Double Down your vote. This forfeits your second action vote, but if a Double Down option wins,it will get a bonus 10% chance of success and be the only action the sprite attempts the next turn. Note that Doubled Down votes are counted separately from the regular votes for the same action.

Finally, we also have abilities. Abilities are a third voting choice you can make each turn to expend an ability charge. No dice are rolled for abilities, they will automatically go off if the vote passes. Ability charges are only refreshed when we return to an altar of Omoania. You may always vote to refrain from ability usage if you wish to save charges for later in the expedition.

Well, hopefully that’s not too hard to follow. We’ll try this system out for all of the first target and if we feel it needs some tweaking we can look into it at next level up. If you have slightly different suggestions for Charisma or Conjuration actions, feel free to suggest them, they will likely have the same base chance as the nearest equivalent I provide or I’ll chime in to provide an updated success chance via a comment. However, I do suspect any requested influence actions that people might make are already tied up in planned upgrades or future abilities…..

Anyways, I’m going to close out voting for this poll after Saturday September 23rd . With any luck, I’ll get the following turn written up on Sunday. Place your votes below and thanks for reading!

Actions:
[Influence] Make her thirsty
[Charisma] Inquire about her setup
[Abilities] Use bladder ping

[Conjuration] wise I think those will be effective later when Fiona has a more pressing need, so holding off on those for now.
Thanks for the little bit with her underwear for this appearance, heh. White panties are worn by pure hearted girls as they say.
Makes me wonder if we could ""borrow"" certain things from nearby shops to potentially assist assuming the shopkeeps don't notice.

Bold line of thinking there.
"Replacing" or "misplacing" her underwear could be something available to us eh?

hmmm, certainly an interesting line of thinking. For now, I’m going to rule that the whole removal / vanishing underwear option would almost certainly require some higher level conjuration actions that we don’t have access to at the moment.

That being said, I wouldn’t be opposed to having her undergarments slip down a bit too far if she stoops down or stumbles when she’s more desperate and distracted. Don’t expect a high success chance for such a roll though.
