Nick_Donovan 429
Typically, I tend to not be very active on the site outside of days on which I have an explicit intention of posting content. One thing I've noticed has come into play with the changes of login management is that, now that our e-mails are explicitly tied to our accounts, we get notifications in our inboxes when we get a direct message on the site, which I really like. I would imagine that something like that wouldn't come through to us if we weren't actually logged in here, though, which is why I'm always logged in. That does make me wonder, though: if there's a specific amount of time an account goes for on the site without any logged activity, extending to even as simple of a matter as browsing, will they end up getting locked from being considered abandoned? It's just that I may be coming to a point where I'm only really able to access the site on weekends (applying for a job that will likely have me working eight-hour shifts five days a week), and I want to ensure this won't put my account at risk. Kyuu 5,597 Posted April 19 👑 Administrator Share Posted April 19 We do not purge/delete any accounts which have completed registration, regardless of activity. We may implement a system where we stop sending you notifications if you do not log in for over a year or so. E-mail notifications for personal messages are sent to you regardless of if you're logged in or not. Notifications for content you follow are by default only sent once per item until you re-visit the site however, but again this can be changed in the notification settings.
