joesty 3
So recently amazon was out of my normal choice of male goodnites, so I bought some female ones and I'm glad I did! For some reason they seem to be a lot more absorbent. Has anyone else noticed a difference between the two? everlynn, yellowsailgg and slicingoranges 2 1 Quote Link to comment
everlynn 8
Personally I only get the female ones (am born male) and have never tried the male ones but one reason I think might be that maybe they're also thinking about having a maddddd period on top off incontinence? j2319 819
I've only used the male style GoodNites and they work for me and my bedwetting so no real need to try the female ones. However your point about Amazon being out of the Boys GoodNites is a real observation. I usually buy my GoodNites from place like Wal-Mart, CVS or Walgreens. I have to say that just about ever time I do go to buy Goodnites the Boys stock is way low or out while the Girls Goodnites have decent stock. What up with that? Are there that many boys out there bedwetting that Boys GoodNites stock stays low or do stores just not stock the Boys GoodNites like they do the Girls ones? Quote Link to comment

Do you notice a difference in the shape/placement of the padding? Do you point down or up when you wear them? Quote Link to comment
RJDodger 3
I remember Goodnites advertising in the past that they were specialized for boys and girls respectively- girls' Goodnites had more absorbency in the middle/bottom, which might affect their performance on older wearers. No idea if that's true though, I've pretty much only ever worn the girls version. DrBorderline, L4p15_53r4ph and GoldenG8 3 Quote Link to comment
WellofSouls 34
Honestly, I have found the same thing. The boys Goodnites I have tried always seemed to leak rather quickly, where as the girls leaked eventually but not as quickly. Furthermore, the girls designs are far more adorable! GreenDorito 18
Having used both, I can safely say that it's probably because of the girls' version having most of its absorbency where liquid normally pools in a diaper, i.e. around the middle, whereas even the XL boys' version is more absorbent up front, which doesn't usually help older users. Both are fun, but I've always preferred the girls' version myself, since they're much cuter. L4p15_53r4ph 1 Quote Link to comment
L4p15_53r4ph 20
As the person above me posted, I'm guessing the extra padding near the bottom of the girls version accounts for the better absorbancey. Makes sense because gravity would end up pulling the liquid down anyways. 🙂 Quote Link to comment
