Public transit restrooms out of service, will soon require permission to go via intercom

Recommended Posts

In Seattle.

In case anyone wants to know about it.  Denying bathroom usage for now, later will only let people go with permission.

Relevance to here aside, I am quite concerned about the fact that a human will get to decide whether another human gets to use the bathroom or not, based on the voice through an intercom.  I don't know what the ideal answer is, but I hope someone is taking that sort of thing seriously.

The world has changed so much after the pandemic.
