Finn is Sleepy 798
As someone who only uses his pc to get on omoorg as being on a browser on mobile is clunky, how cool and convenient would a mobile app for omoorg be? Omolover0 and MyDogPig 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Omopees 54
apple would never allow it I don't know if the play store would either, making the site less clunky on mobile I don't think you would need a app anyway Finn is Sleepy 1 Quote Link to comment

HereToStay 772
Hm, sure an app would be nice. But I still wanna make the point that I don’t consider the mobile version of Omo.org clunky. I find it pretty convenient actually. 99% of the time I‘m on here on my iPhone only and never thought it is a pain. I only use the PC when I wanna write up longer posts and need a proper keyboard for it. So, good job on the mobile version 👍 Finn is Sleepy 1 Quote Link to comment
Rosethorn92 6
It would certainly be more convenient. I forget to check the site pretty often lol. It could be made as an APK for Android users. Not sure about apple tho. Quote Link to comment

A way around the App Store and Google Play Store would be to create a Progressive Web App. Although, I'm not sure if the framework @Kyuu is using allows for a so called 'API' needed for a dedicated app. Most likely it doesn't. Kyuu 5,597 Posted May 8 👑 Administrator Share Posted May 8 A lot of OmoOrg's backend I've hand-coded, so I can theoretically do anything I want with the framework. We have full access to the codebase and can modify it as needed. I just don't think it would be worth the cost and time investment for a mobile app at the moment. There is also the issue that neither the play store nor apple store would allow us to list this app publicly, so the only way it could be used would be on Android via sideloading, which is very impractical for the average end-user.
