You could have reported the thread to us and have us privately add the tag. You didn't.

You could have posted something a bit more polite, like "Hello! Please remember to tag posts with the male or female prefixes when applicable."

You could have just laughed at it, realized it wasn't malicious, and considered wording your posts a little better in the future.

I legitimately showed up here and laughed at a joke. I love Invasion of the Body Snatchers, its a great movie and it was a great rib. As a straight male, I’m glad we have a Batman type on the boards to keep us safe. I was almost mildly inconvenienced by watching this video, but I saw the bat symbol in the comments and breathed a sigh of relief that vigilante justice had been dished out. Straight guy here, happily married to a woman and I don't mind a male clothes wetting in the slightest.
