Would love to be able to do like a personal journal on my profile and I just day-to-day update type of things for anyone that would be interested. I think it would be a nice feature of the forum. Anyone else think that would be a good idea as well?

This is basically what status updates are for. There isn't a character limit on status updates so you can make posts about as long as you'd like on there and anyone following you can opt to receive your updates as notifications.

Is there a way that people can follow these?  I guess maybe that's a bit of what's looked for.  Ie. the ability to post, have people follow, and have responses.  And I'm just not looking yet to see what it is.  So, I'm pretty sure it's a "already explained" question.  I know in terms of posting just like personal stuff like this, that maybe doesn't "really" belong in the forums, is a lot of what I'm looking for in terms of that...  I am not sure I'm making sense...

Users who follow your profile are notified of status updates, and can be notified when replies are posted to status updates they've commented on.
