blakgrlmajic91 152
Just curious if anyone had thoughts about this. Being that bodily functions can be considered taboo to discuss, how does the average person feel when someone they are with says they have to pee? Is it a turn off because it’s gross? Does it make the person feel anxious? Uncomfortable? I’m just wondering because I am so shy about mentioning it based on how others will react but I don’t know if I’m just overthinking things. AliasnameTO 335
They're not taboo, just a little awkward. The thing is, they are not suggestions. Sometimes it's speak up or suffer worse consequences. Or at the very least, be caught quietly desperate and that's also potentially weird. You're likely to find all manner of non-omo reactions though. A good friend or even a considerate acquaintance would just treat it like a problem to be solved. If it makes someone uncomfortable, well, surely they'd understand if they have ever needed help with a similar situation before. blakgrlmajic91 1 Quote Link to comment
Desperato 81
For folks I know, when I'm in a group activity, either out and about somewhere or in a virtual social gathering (via Zoom/etc), it's pretty typical to just be matter-of-fact about this. Usually it's "I need a bathroom break" or "I need to use the bathroom" rather than literally "I need to pee", but it's a normal thing for most people I know to say so others know they are taking a break from the current activity, like a live gaming situation or a meal/drink hangout. Maybe that's not the kind of scenario you are asking about, though... blakgrlmajic91 1 Quote Link to comment
WaterBaloon 6
It doesn't do anything special for most of people I think. When someone needs to use the bathroom they will say it and then go for it. blakgrlmajic91 1 Quote Link to comment
Paillecia 211
Don't think it does, and it shouldn't. When I'd go out, if anyone needs to use the washroom they just go. Nobody really cares or judges you for it blakgrlmajic91 1 Quote Link to comment
Maestro 12
It's quite normal afaik, that may be different if you mention it and then put off going Quote Link to comment

AnotherGuy 140
Why would it make people uncomfortable? It's a normal thing really. Quote Link to comment
