malefemale Nappies on planes

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! Not sure if this has been discussed before here but I'm going on a short flight (about 2 hours) from the UK and really want to try wearing a diaper most for comfort as I really hate queueing for the toilet and having to stand up disturbing everyone. Also would come very handy when at the terminal ad not having to use the loos there.

I wanted to ask which is the best brand to do so. Was thinking some tena pants pull ups as I wanted to be discreet but also don't want any leaks while I wet sitting down.

On the other hand how can I do to change it and where to dispose the wet one? Thanks so much!

I love wearing while flying/traveling! It's really fun and does make things a lot easier not having to worry about bathroom calls 😄 I've only flown around the US so that may or may not make a difference when it comes to flying.

Have you worn before?

I find that diapers are significantly better when it comes to capacity and not leaking. If you're planning on using or think there's a chance you're going to use what you're wearing more than just lightly, I'd personally opt for a full on diaper instead of a pull-up. But if you know how much a pull-up you're wearing can handle and that the amount you'll end up using it won't be risking a leak then go for it!

Plus on a relatively short 2 hour flight as long as you don't like, try to make yourself burst and drink a bunch of fluids before and during the flight, you can probably get by wearing a pull-up or pretty light diaper. A Tena Slip Maxi or Ultima or Abena M4, Tranquility ATN, or any ABDL diaper would probably pretty easily.

For changing and disposal, I personally use the family/handicapped restrooms that airports have. Usually they're open or there isn't a long wait and so far I haven't been judged or hassled for using them. I've gone through security padded before and went through the body scanners without any issues. But I've heard being wet through the body scanners (and sometimes even being dry) can be picked up and lead to questions and/or a search.

I don't know if I'd chance it on an aeroplane.

Leaks can be a problem, and your not going to be able to protect the seat.

Also the airline has all your details, when the next passenger sits in your puddle. They will complain and It will find it's way back to you.

You could be found to be liable for damages, to property, both from the other passenger and the airline.

If the plane has to be taken out of service to either clean or replace the seat it could be thousands of pounds of damage, you may even get denied travel by the airline.

You could try to say it was a disability, but the airlines are not looking favourably on the disabled at the moment.

I would consider this adventure very carefully.

Maybe try a long train journey instead.

Something without designated seats.

In fact a train ride is giving me ideas now.

I see another adventure coming.

Thanks for such a nice and good advice! Yes I have worn before and was surprised of how much a tena pants can hold but totally get you there probably better off with a full on diaper just worried about how bulky or crinkly might be.

Yes totally going to try use the disabled toilets when possible for intimacy and disposal purposes.

Agree as well with what it has been said before and I'll probably try on a few train journeys to make sure they don't leak

I have tried couple of time on really long flights and never had any issues, same for trains or buses journey.

Maximum I did was about 8 jours flight plus about 2 hours of airport security check, etc. I had an Abdl diaper at the time and it went all fine.

If you can find a Tena maxi rather than the super (that you can find more often) it will definitely help.
Worst to worst you can put 2 tena pants on top of each other and if you realise the first one need a change, you just go to the toilet in the plane and strip the inner one and have a fresh one ready over. 😆

Just get some cleaning wipes with you for a clean at the airport if you not fancy walking with them in your hands in the plane.

And enjoy the flight ✈️

Not sure if you have been out flying lately in and around Europe, but I can confirm it is quite a mess in many places. Massive queues, delays, and general travel chaos. Just keep that in mind. Much of this delay is caused by slower security screening due to staff shortages after the pandemic. So, just wanted to recommend that if you are able, only put on the diaper after security screening. Or if you must wear through that, be dry, as wet padding can show up on some of the machines, and that could result in further more personal physical screening…. Slows you down, slows everybody else down yet further, and can be a bit embarrassing. I learnt the hard way, many years back..

safe travels!

Similar issue - after telling TSA I was wearing a diaper (Northsuore pull-up) I had a pat search even though it was dry, which took extra time. Next time I put it on after screening and was fine.

To those who put them on after screening… ever have an issue with your bag being subject to an extra search due to the unused products inside — especially thicker ones?

I have, but not because of the diapers in my bag.  Baby powder can trigger an additional search.  I pack my powder in my checked bag and either buy a travel size bottle after security or just manage without it.

I travel with a carry on with extra diapers, just in case.  That has been searched a couple of times.  The security agents are pretty professional and have always been discreet.

Bag was search one time when I had a diaper inside. Security did not say a thing and was very discreet. Nobody saw the diaper. Everyone is focus on there own stuff when taking the plane, they do not care about other people bag beeing search.
On top of that, a folded diaper could be a lot of different things for people that are not familiar with them.
