They banned "adult" content which was 90% of what the site was, I don't know what they expected to achieve. It was probably about 10 years ago now anyway...

You know that reminds me of how Tumblr banned all adult content too and now other platforms overtook it.

I'm not sure if changed names or is a different site altogether, but similarworlds.com has many of the same stories I remember reading at experienceproject. They seem to allow adult and fetish content and I was even able to use the same login I used at EP. So maybe it's some sort of partnership or migration? I'm not sure but check it out.

Experience Project was a great site with lots of good material, but it was being overwhelmed by underage posters and there was little moderation to control it.  I think they made a brief attempt at automated filtering, but that never works.  This site has dedicated moderators and a membership that doesn't put up with trash.

I suspect that Tumblr's "reformation" two or three years ago lost them a good many contributors, and I note that even today their censorship is a bit erratic.  Some of their regulars have cropped up at Twitter.

I hate that they deleted the omo groups with no warning, so no chance to download and save our favourite content.  Some authors even lost their own work for the same reason. It was a wonderful site, but I wonder if omo.org would have go to where it has if EP was still providing a home for (some of) us...

You know, I often think about this. Omo.org is a community in time, coming about right as the omorashi havens of old were fading, I think. Funneled a lot of people here.

Experience Project... now that's a blast from the past. There was one writer who wrote a plethora of semi-self-insert omo, omutsu, and ageplay stories about women who rapidly lost most or all of their bladder control after being introduced to diapers; at least two of them are cross posted on Literotica as "Untraining" and "Night At The Monuments" and there may be others elsewhere.

And yes, "sanitizing to appeal to advertisers" is the kiss of death for any sort of online community - it not only kicks out the adult content creators, but it kills interest for all of the users who came to the site specifically for that content. Tumblr is dismissed as dying after the porn ban but somehow it's maintained enough inertia in other areas - bizarre political arguments and academic essays about various cartoons, mostly - to survive the loss of 85% of its adult content. (The automated flagging system was a broken neural network so it had as many false negatives as false positives.)

Yes I was active on EP too. It certainly had issues with security and underage users but I'll always think back to it with fond memories as it was the first site where I felt comfortable enough to post my own content. My very first shared omo experiences were with people I met through EP, mostly holding sessions on webcam via msn messenger which also led to me meeting up with somebody in person and had my first experiences with a girl forcing me to hold my piss.
