Tips for buying diaper

Recommended Posts

I don't use diapers myself, but try amazon, I get my chair pads from there. Also, the cashiers aren't going to remember who you are, what you look like, or what you bought. Cashiers really don't even pay attention to what you buy, they are overworked and underpaid so even if you buy them, no one will notice or care, that includes other shoppers. If anyone asks, just say you are picking them up for an older family member  or neighbor, however, it's very unlikley anyone  will notice or care.  I've bought huge packs of throw away chair pads from the pharmacy and the only question I was asked  was if I am a rewards member so I could get the store discount, I paid and I'm sure each cashier  forgot about me thirty seconds later. Basically, it doesn't matter if you buy diapers, chair pads, lady products, condoms, or any other embarrassing item, no one is even going to pay attention so I wouldn't worry.

First times I started buying incontinence products for myself I was so embarrassed. At first I refused to go alone and took always my mum with me. Then when I met my boyfriend I started to take him instead. These days I don’t need someone else to be there to help me get what I need and it’s mostly because, well I’m kinda used to it now, but also self checkout makes it much easier. If self checkout still scares you then maybe try buying online.

Not that they could care less anyway, I’d say even somebody who did notice what you were purchasing would certainly not assume they were for you.

As a rookie diaper purchaser many years back, I lived in a place where the only real option to purchase was at pharmacies or medical supply stores. My trick at the time was to absolutely pretend I was purchasing for somebody else, making sure to add the comment - “please can I have the receipt, just in case I have chosen the wrong kind for her”…. Makes me smile now when I look back.

Sometimes we just worry too much 🙂

Go to a small specialised store for medical products. You will probably be alone in there and it's less likely someone who knows you will see what you're buying. You don't have to tell the store assistant why you're buying them. It's most likely they will assume they're for an elderly person who can't go to a store and buy them. You can check online what size and suction strength you want.

I've been wearing diapers  24/7 for many years now due to surgery, and have found it to be true that nobody pays any attention to what you are buying.

As to tips for buying diapers, what kind you should buy depends on what you are using them for. "Store" brands are usually very poor on performance. They may have low absorbency and poor construction and lack features like leak guards. These may be OK for diaper play, but not for "serious" use like wearing all day due to real incontinence. For high capacity, high quality diapers, you generally have to shop online. And as has been pointed out above, these sellers generally ship directly to you in plain boxes that give no hint as to what's inside.

If the problem is that you are embarrassed, simply buy in a supermarket that you do not frequent, you should not mind if you buy adult diapers, since many buy them for the elderly who suffer from incontinence. I never bought diapers but if I did I would do it this way because if someone asks me what they are for, I would say for my grandfather who is sick. no one is going to question that answer.

Another member on this site has the best idea @Maiko they have a back story. Any products that are to do with age play or regression are for Maiko. So when questioned by a shop keeper, well those pacifiers are for Maiko. Could be a daughter, could be a niece, nobody will care.

However as others have said, in the modern world we live in. Shopping is so much easier. There are safe spaces to have parcels delivered.

Amazon use lockers, Lovehoney will send to a post office to collect, doesn't even have to be your local office. The one I selected didn't even charge for the inconvenience.

Obviously there is now self scan checkouts. These for me were a revelation and it wasn't until these appeared that I started buying pull-ups.

If someone starts questioning you, try the double bluff, brazenly declare in a sarcastic manner that obviously those are for you, your mother/grandmother buys her own.

Start living your life.

Don't do what I did and hide behind your keyboard for twenty years.

Use shops in a different town, think up a plausible back story.

Have fun. Your not hurting anyone, and what you do in private is just that.

Private.
