Maybe I'm wrong, I don't really think about the position too much. But I was mostly meaning while wearing underwear having it point down isn't really comfortable. So maybe up/to the side? But yes when I'm naked and flaccid it points down.

I don't have a penis but I am a huge fan of male omorashi! I usually find it hotter when their penis is pointed to the left or right so it leaves a little trail down one leg. I don't know why I have this preference

I decided since I had some time this weekend and felt like trying some stuff out to do an experiment. Three wettings: one pointed upward, one pointed downward, and one pointed to the side like SilverSnake suggested. I just did the upward wetting and recorded it with the intention of sharing it here. Only problem: it turns out the pants I was wearing don't show wetness, so you can't see anything in the video.

That's interesting.  I'd find it very uncomfortable in daily life if I arranged it to point upwards when I put my underwear on.  Hanging downwards, to me, just feels more natural.

I point it up. It makes me like totally soaked way quick and I soooo love how it feels. If like just one leg is wet it's not as fun. And it totally gets me horny so yeah.

I generally keep mine pointed up when I am dry anyway. It might be related to size.... Mine is... modest. 

One plus, though, when wetting, pointing up maximizes the damage you do to your clothes. I like that.
