Stanley79 636
For decades I’ve wondered why my bed-wetting often had an August peak (it also has other peaks). Often heavy hydration leads to my startling awake from the sudden need. It seems hydration a suspect, but not the complete cause. Recently, I had an “Oh, Duh!” moment about it. I’ve slept in a humid area and woken sweaty when heat and humidity continue into the night. Usually, the greatest sweat accumulates under my hair and shoulders. But sometimes I wake with a sweaty derriere – even puddling sweat a little. Does my sleeping self interpret the wet and sweaty smell as a pee that needs completion? Has anyone else had bed-wettings in similar circumstances? rachelkirwan, Bloberino and Novak Rogers 3 Quote Link to comment
Stanley79 636
This area has had high humidity this summer. I woke wetting yesterday and in a cold pee puddle this morning. Quote Link to comment
Novak Rogers 262
I never heard of that but if it does happen more those times of year then there may be something in it? Or perhaps it just trying to keep u cool in the heat!! Have often wondered if pee smell can trigger bedwetting but not sure on sweat thing. Quote Link to comment
trekkie 1,098
I never noticed that, don't particularly have times of year I'm wetter or drier, but I hope you enjoy your soggy summer! Quote Link to comment
rachelkirwan 13,626 Posted August 8, 2021 🌟 OmoOrg VIP Share Posted August 8, 2021 For me the heat of summer meant I didn't wear protection to bed, and just resigned myself to waking up in a puddle. Quote Link to comment

Oh, that's a good idea, I'll give it a try. I have not had much luck in the past with bedwetting while asleep but its worth a try. Quote Link to comment
