Hi, everyone

I was wondering if anyone knows about an actual method to download videos from VK?

I used to use it as a cloud, to upload private videos and downlaoding them later on, but now, every single method that used to work, seems to not work anymore.
I tried savefrom, pastedownloader, savevk, etc. None work. I really don't want to try with software (although I heard nice stuff about GetFLV or something like that) as I don't trust them that much.
So, anyone knows of a working method to download from VK?
If your method is a downloadable and installable software, would you call it "safe" to use?

Thanks to everyone

P.D. I hope my post actually belongs to this forum.
Sorry if it doesn't.

youtube-dl works like a charm.  Take your time to learn how to use it though, as it's a command line program.

Well, you're not the first one to ask about this

https://www.omorashi.org/topic/64804-vk-download

I used to have a method (involved a downloader called Eagleget) but I recently discovered that my method was becoming unreliable.

Instead, I just navigate to the mobile version of vk.

To quote from the linked post

"I usually navigate to the mobile version of the video. And then just use developer tools to grab the mp4.

To get to the mobile version, I put an "m." in front of the "vk.com" at the users main page so it will look like "m.vk.com/user". Then navigate to videos page, then to the video."

In other words

take https://vk.com/videos123456789

and put an m to make it https://m.vk.com/videos123456789 to get the mobile version of the video.

When I use this method, I can just right click on the video and select "save as" to download the video (I use Firefox on Windows.  I'm not sure if you can do this on Chrome)

Try it!

I tried it before posting this, as I saw many people recommending it, but the option of save as wouldn't appear anywhere on the video. Am I supposed to right click outside the video? Thanks :)

Internet Download Manager for PC User. But pastedownloader still work.

Is that an extension or a program? Thanks

Do you know of somewhere where I can start learning how to properly use it? I haven't heard enough about it before

Thank you :)
