(I've been slowly writing to finish my stories recently, and now that I have a schedule that works for me for working on stuff like this, I'm back on omorg after my long hiatus ^^)

Chapter 1: A Witch's Mother

~~~~~~~~
It had been a slow day so far for Eliana, but one she was used to. She had started the day off with a few warmups, brewing some energizing potions with a few tea leaves and whatever else she could find, then moving on with a few simple incantations before she prepares for the main part of her day, trying to conjure up a magical bound spirit for the (possibly) fiftieth time. The warmups had gone well as normal, getting her body ready and used to casting magic, feeling the energy flow through her fingertips as she started with flicking on light switches and onto more stuff, such as lighting the fireplace to warm up the chilly house. Walking into one of her favorite rooms with a look of determination, she was all set.
She had just prepared to conjure the spirit, using a carefully carved wand to help channel it more than her hands could do on their own.  The room she was in was bright pink with plenty of childish and even infantile toys and furniture lying around. In fact, this morning she had barely awoken before turning her bed into a crib, an action that pleased her a bit more than she first thought it would.
All the toys and such that had been strewn along the floor were pushed towards the walls as a wind began to pick up from the center of the room, Eliana's short skirt fluttering a little as the tip of her wand began to grow a bright pink. She closed her eyes as she whispered the spell she had been practicing for a while.
"Ethereal mother of care, appear and treat thee fair, see thee as if of the fifth year, and to comfort before thee shed a tear" It was a tad simple sounding, if not a bit silly, but magic tended to work best the clearer it was. In fact, half of the work was coming up with the best phrase instead of actual magical power, though that still played a large part.
Opening her eyes, Eliana was already prepared for disappointment before she saw a figure slowly form out of nothing, looking barely transparent and letting off a faint glow. The figure gently drifted down as their outfit grew more detailed, a long dress with a short apron that she seemed to already be taking off and setting on the changing table nearby.
"Yes, I finally did it!" Eliana cheered, jumping into the air giggling. She had felt so lonely in this big stuffy house, and with the introduction of her new motherly figure, she hoped things would finally get a bit more interesting. She ran over to hug her new mommy, before feeling herself fall straight through her. "A-ah!" She shouted in surprise, using one of her arms to break her fall.
"Oh my! Someone got a little too excited!" said a sweet, mature voice. The ghost mother's words seemed to sound like it was accompanied with a small gust of wind. "Are you alright little Eli?" She said, bending down and placing her hand on Eliana's arm, the woman's hand feeling cold yet nonexistent. For a second Eliana was surprised to hear a name, let alone a nickname from her newly summoned familiar, though it quickly dawned on her that familiars tend to summon in with a basic understanding of the one summoning them.
"I-I am, thank you miss. I guess I made you too close to a ghost than a familiar."
The woman giggled. "My little Eli sure has a wild imagination~" She responded, treating such a thing as a fantasy. "Come now, I don't know how you got ahold of such panties, but I haven't potty trained you yet." Eliana blushed as the ghost patted the changing table.
"U-um..." Eliana muttered, trying to come up with a spell as she pointed her wand back at the ghost. "Become one with the physical realm!" she said, almost yelping as she felt her wand leaving her grasp.
"I know you love playing witch a lot but you're not getting out of being padded that easily." The mother scolded, lifting the wand above her head. "Now hop up on the table before I have to put you up there myself." Her tone had gotten strict near the end, her free hand resting on her hip.
Realizing she wouldn't get her wand back until after, and already enjoying the situation, Eliana climbed onto the changing mat, her face absolutely scarlet as the plastic crinkled beneath her hands. Her new mother smiled.
"Good girl~ now first those panties..." The ghost mother said, gingerly sliding them down Eliana's legs. Then, as she held them up, Eliana was shocked to see them engulf in blue flames. "You won't need these anymore~ I have something more appropriate!" As the panties vanished in ethereal fire, the mother then pulled a big, thick, crinkly diaper that was white with yellow stars all over the front and back.
"I-I kinda wanted to be big for a lil..." She said as her new mother shook their head.
"You can try some other time, maybe in a couple weeks, but you and I both know why you have a changing table in your room still. Now lift your butt so I can pad you up~" Eliana did as she was told, and soon her mother slid the diaper under her as a bottle of powder floated in the air, a magical aura emanating from it as she was powdered and taped up rather quickly, "That wasn't too bad now, was it?"
The mother gently lifted her blushy baby witch off the table, Eliana extremely embarrassed with the entire situation. "Not that I don't mind, ummmm, but I'm five, I don't need diapers!" With that, her mother tisked.
"Sorry little one, but you wouldn't still have a crib, a changing table, all these diapers and blocks and such if you were past them." She bent down, patting her head. "But if you are able to tell mommy when you have to go potty next and you manage to make it, I'll see about letting you wear pullups, okay?"
"Deal! I-I mean, yes mommy, thank you mommy." as much as Eliana enjoyed being treated so little, this wasn't quite the five-year-old she expected to be treated as. Before she could think of what to do next, her tummy rumbled, reminding Eliana that she hadn't even had breakfast yet. Her new mother was quick to chime in.
“Sounds like someone's ready for numnums~ Why don't we head down to the kitchen, alright?” the ghost held her hand, nodding towards the door. With a blush and a gentle nod back, Eliana followed her to the kitchen.
It was a simple yet large kitchen, with a big fridge and a decent amount of counter space. Past the counters was an average sized rectangular table with six chairs; they were not really expected with the size house they were in, but even the separate dining room was hardly necessary for a witch living on her own, and even that had been converted into a library full of grimoires, recipes, and other such reading material.
Eliana climbed onto the chair, feeling small today with her rather large padding. The ghost on the other hand had been using her magic to levitate over what she needed, a glass being filled with apple juice as a knife peeling then chopping up a carrot were all floating passed Eliana. 'I may have summoned a more powerful familiar than I expected...' she pondered as the glass was gently placed in front of her with a bowl filled with the carrot slices. “How did you know where everything was?” She asked, her ghost mommy sitting beside her.
“Simple~ Just the walk down here allowed me to map out the entire house in my head, it's a rather simple spell for someone such as myself, you'll learn when you're older.” Eliana pouted, taking a big sip of her apple juice.
“Well um, thanks mommy.” She mumbled. A little of the juice spilled from her lip, and her mother seemed to already be coming up with another idea.
With a flick of her wrist, a small light hit the glass, instantly turning it into a sippy cup. Eliana let out a cry of surprise, almost falling out of the chair before another spell had hit that as well, transforming it into a highchair. “I always forget, little ones are a bit too small for a normal chair and cup.” she placed her elbow on the table, her head gently resting on her hand as a smile crossed her face. “Does mommy need to feed you the carrots too, or do you think you can eat them all on your own without dropping them?”
Getting a bit fussy, Eliana sat up in her chair, though not much before lightly hitting the tray. “I can do it on my own, you just surprised me is all!” she sat back down, crossing her arms grumpily as she noticed her new caretaker handing her the bowl.
“Well that's fine then dear, we can let you try your best eating on your own~”
Eliana quickly went about finishing her carrots and apple juice (though not so quick that she would drop anything). Her cheeks remained a noticeable red through the whole process, half just from the ghost mom's “Awww~”, “So cute~”, and “You make mommy so proud!” being cooed from across the table.
After the familiar wiped Eliana’s almost spotless face clean (eliciting a pout from Eliana), the ghost mommy helped her out of the highchair, even handing back the wand. “Now, I’m gonna let you have some play time while mommy cleans up, doesn’t that sound wonderful?”
“Y-yeahhhhh.” Eliana soon walked over to the living room. It was a rather spacious one too, with plenty of place to play, a closet towards the front door, a fireplace, even a toy chest right beside a rocking chair and couch, with the latter flanked with end tables. Now that she looked again, Eliana realized something else was on the wall, just above the fireplace, a TV! Most of the money Eliana got from doing side jobs with her magic had been spent on just getting this place barely repaired, and even then, the third floor and attic were completely barren, save for the new wooden support beams a contrast to some of the rotting walls. She didn’t have the magical energy nor the prowess to have been able to conjure such a complicated device, let alone the funds to purchase one. “She really is more powerful than me, I’ve never heard of a witch being so outmatched by her familiar from the get-go…”
As curious as she was, she looked for a remote before flipping it on, the vibrant colours of morning cartoons lighting up the room. After slipping her wand in a specially made loop in her skirt, she soon found herself rummaging through the toy chest for some building blocks, her eyes flicking between the cartoons and the blocks every so often. It was so fun building the foundation before towering up with all her blocks, making it as high as she could before the unsteady structure toppled over and she was left giggling loudly. Just before she started to build one anew, she glanced behind her to look for more blocks, her attention soon drifting from the toy chest to the ghost sitting peacefully in the rocking chair. The familiar gave a smile and a wave.
“Enjoying yourself sweetie?”
“Oh! Um um, yes! I’m having lots of fun!” She pointed over to the TV. “Thanks for getting me that! The most advanced thing I have is an old laptop and a cracked phone.”
“Of course honey, anything for my little witch in training~” this elicited a pout from Eliana, but she had to admit, she still had much to learn. Soon however, Eliana was back to building with her blocks, not without already letting out a bit of a yawn.
Eliana must have used more magic than she originally thought, though even if she hadn’t, she still understood a good amount of magical energy had to have left her body to conjure up a familiar, let alone one with so much magical prowess. As these thoughts were filling her head, she found herself absentmindedly rubbing one of her eyes while her other hand with the block had dropped said block nowhere near the tower.
“Aw, honey, here…” The ghost mommy levitated the sleepy girl a little before her ethereal arms held her ever so close. “Need a little nap?”
“M-maybe a little, thankchuu…” she was already closing her eyes as she hugged close to the ghost, here eyelids feeling too heavy to keep open any longer.
Hope this also means  another certain story will hopefully be worked on as well.
If it's the one I think you think it is, I do have it planned out, just been dealing with new ideas that I want to implement in it before I do the ending, so I want to make sure it flows well together.
