Angusburger 156
Like does the fact that it is your bodily position (sit) when you go to the toilet make it harder to hold when sitting because it’s the same natural position than compared to men sitting or standing up? For us men it’s easier to hold when sitting but that’s also cause we ussually pee standing as our position when using urinals. Quote Link to comment
Anna B 274
No, I mostly find it easier to hold on against an urge when sitting. The exception is if it gets really bad, because I find I can fight it better standing and pee dancing than sitting and just wriggling. But if I'm in company and can neither pee dance, wriggle or hold myself, then sitting is definitely better than standing. MrFoley 1 Quote Link to comment
Mbgpeelover 8,720 Posted September 21, 2020 ✨ Legendary Member Share Posted September 21, 2020 No because we sit down without peeing WAY more often than we sit to pee so the simple act of sitting doesn’t make our bodies assume we are free to pee. i prefer being bursting sitting down as I feel I can squeeze, squirm, wriggle and tense much better than standing up plus it can be much more discreet...I can get away with tightly crossed legs with a hand on the top of my thigh sitting but crossing my legs standing would raise eyebrows. peedespes02 and wannawatch 2 Quote Link to comment
HoldingPrinces 568
For me, sitting position is easier than standing position to hold a very full bladder with a strong urge. When the bladder is slightly full, and urge is not very strong, no much difference between two positions. Quote Link to comment
DesperateJill 3,791 Posted September 21, 2020 ✨ Legendary Member Share Posted September 21, 2020 I definitely think it's harder to hold when you are standing up in general because when you are standing you are tending to be in motion, whereas you are seated you are not moving around and jostling the bladder as much. However when I am sitting on the toilet specifically then the natural instinct to want to release starts to come up because I think your mind automatically associates toilets with going to the bathroom. And I started another separate thread at one point where I felt that women end up having to poop more often simply because when we sit down to pee there is that conditioning to let everything go, not just the pee.
