ShadowPhantom 152
Alright. Ill start with a quick description of what this will be. Ever played or seen a game like Hearthstone, perhaps magic the gathering? Well this is going to be something along those lines, except RPG based. You will combat opponents throughout this RPG, level up, and do quests and stuff like that. It is an experiment for me. I really have no idea where this will go but if you want to join me on finding out, feel free to continue reading! ========================================= Basic Character Creation: Name: _____ Gender: _____ Appearance: _____ (Height, Hair length, Hair Color, Eye Color, Weight, etc) Choosing a starter trait: As part of the game, your character can have some kind of trait which will benefit them in combat somehow. At the moment, a character can only have 1 trait which has to be chosen out of the options below. Having more traits, or changing traits may be possible later. Trait 1: Pee Shy In a turn based combat match, opponents are normally able to see your visible desperation at 70% bladder capacity or greater. Pee shy is a trait that makes it so that the opponent can never see when you are desperate and therefore will never know when your bladder capacity is reaching the limit Trait 2: Aurous All Auras cast on your character last 1 additional turn Trait 3: Rushing Fury 2x damage for the first 3 turns of combat Trait 4: Sentinel -50% incoming damage for the first 3 turns of combat Trait 5: Confident No effects from embarrassment if opponent is also embarrassed Default starting stats: Health: 100 Mana: 10 Fatigue: 200 Bladder Capacity: 100 Boost, Resist, Critical, Pierce: 0% Final Note: After the character has been created, the RPG will begin. It will start with the basics of combat and will increase in difficulty from there. We'll see how it goes! Hopefully well Quote Link to comment

ShadowPhantom 152
@Unbeknownst So this one is single player. I will choose the most popular choices for each intersection in the RPG. I want to see how it goes and maybe if it goes well, I will make it into a Roleplay, but at the moment, its single player. Quote Link to comment
ShadowPhantom 152
Elizabeth [Lvl: 1]: Health: 100 Mana: 10 Fatigue: 200 Bladder Capacity: 0/100 Confirmed Profile: Name: Elizabeth (Liz) Gender: Female Height: 5' 10" Hair length: Shoulder length Hair Color: Brunette Eye Color: Sea green Weight: 145 lbs. Trait: Aurous Somewhere in an alternate reality, humanity has grown to occupy a sizable fraction of the Milky Way galaxy and discovered the lost secret of Magic which was discovered to have a peculiar connection to the bladder and peeing. The human race continues to explore the galaxy as it is enormous in size and also continues to uncover the secrets of this Magic and master it to its full potential. Back on the planet Earth lives a girl by the name of Elizabeth. She just turned 17 years old and is eligible to apply for university. Her father, a very serious man of science and a professor of Omodynamics, pushed Elizabeth to attend a prestigious school by the name of Ardenstine Institute which she managed to get accepted into with a bit of effort. It is her first day of university. She is slightly nervous but the excitement of meeting her professors overrules. She takes a walk down Grady Street before making a right onto Main Street where the University is. It's 5 blocks away. She admires the city she had been living in for all her life, except now it all looks slightly different. The brick houses seem older, and the stone ones appear to have more cracks. She finally reaches the large structure looming over all the other buildings. It is the main building of Ardenstine university located on the very edge of the campus as a gateway. There are many parts to the university but its all connected somehow by the beauty of architecture. And it is truly beautiful. The windows are paintings of stain glass. Each corner, ledge, or edge of the structure has hours of carving work put into it. She feels a true pride attending it. Behind the tall wooden doors leading into the building is chaos. Students are everywhere and staff are frantically organizing everyone. Liz spends the next 2 hours pushing and shoving through people and waiting to receive her information chip. It's a small flash drive looking thing which has a holographic display. It contains her schedule, all her grades for each class, and absolutely everything else about her profile in the university. All messages are sent through this chip including homework and announcements. She finds her way out of the dense crowd and escapes into a sparsely packed hall with enough space for her to open the hologram and find out where she needs to go. To her dismay, her first class is on the 5th floor. With all the magic technology around there are still no elevators. They didn't want to modify the ancient architecture of the school, so Liz is left to climb 5 flights. She did it fairly effortlessly and felt good at the top. Now to find room 5.32. It took some searching, but it seems like there was a clear pattern to the school's layout. She would learn it in no time. She enters her first period class. Everyone is up and chatting and laughing. The professor, who looks so sharp with his brushed hair, glasses, and suit, could qualify as a movie actor. He is sitting in the corner quietly playing with some small magic spells on his desk. He has to pass time until class starts in 30 minutes. There is a slight decrease in chatter as Liz enters with a few people changing their attention to her. A tall blonde-haired guy walks up to her instantly. "Hi! I'm Brandon, and you are.?" Liz hesitates for a second unsure of whether he likes her or whether it's his normal thing to greet new students coming in. Regardless, she eventually introduces herself and he leads her to his group of 4 other friends. She immediately could tell that she will enjoy spending time with them. Cut to about half way through the class. The professor turned out nice. He didn't have many strict rules and was very tolerant. He introduced their course which is called Elemental Analysis. As he explained briefly, there are four elements which most spell cards fall under. Each element has it's unique strengths and weaknesses. The focus of the class is to educate about that, but also about the history of these elements and the science behind them. The rest of the class finished with little progress. Same thing happened for most classes. It was just introductions and no content. Her schedule is as follows: Period 1. 8:15 - 9:00 Elemental Analysis Period 2. 9:05 - 9:50 Omodynamics Period 3. 9:55 - 10:40 Combat Tactics Period 4. 10:45 - 11:30 LUNCH Period 5. 11:35 - 12:20 Dueling Arena Period 6. 12:25 - 1:10 Spell Creation The Dueling arena probably left the strongest impression on her. It was so large and intimidating and the things the professor talked about during the introductions made her fear what would happen to her as that class progresses. Skip to the next day. This is where real things start: Period 1: Today the professor began by introducing the elements. They are Fire, Frost, Electricity, and Life. Each element was self-explanatory except Life, which had a unique aspect to it. That is, Life represents not only the giving and restoration of life but also the taking and stealing of life. It has a duality to it. Period 2: In Omodynamics, a class Liz new fairly well from her father, they began to touch on the history behind why urination has so much to do with magic. At the most simplest level, it has to do with a secret in human psychology that was undiscovered prior to the discovery of magic. Period 3: In combat tactics, they were each given their starter decks which contained 20 cards, 4 copies of each of the 5 different starter cards. There wasn't much choice yet, but there was going to be. The cards go as follows: Shot of Water (4x) Fatigue Cost (F) : 10 Mana Cost (M) : 0 Element (E) : None Description (DESC) : Increases Target opponent's Bladder Capacity by 5 Wooden Barricade (4x) Fatigue Cost (F) : 10 Mana Cost (M) : 0 Element (E) : None Description (DESC) : Summons a wooden barricade which reduces the damage of the next incoming attack by 10% Caltrop (4x) Fatigue Cost (F) : 10 Mana Cost (M) : 0 Element (E) : None Description (DESC) : Summons a caltrop on a target opponent which increases the damage he takes from his next incoming attack by 20% Minor Drought (4x) Fatigue Cost (F) : 35 Mana Cost (M) : 0 Element (E) : None Description (DESC) : For the next 5 turns of battle, your Bladder Capacity increase rate is reduced by 80% Minor Shock (4x) Fatigue Cost (F) : 20 Mana Cost (M) : 0 Attack Type (AT) : Magic Element (E) : Electric Description (DESC) : Sends a small electric bolt at a target opponent. Deals 15 – 35 damage Elizabeth admired her cards. They were given to her in a nice new box smelling of freshly cut wood. Inside were the shiny cards, 4 copies of each of the 5 spells. They had a magical radiance to them almost as if they were foiled, but it wasn't that. While she was inspecting her cards, the professor began the next important concept: how combat works. ===================================== Turn Based Combat 101: Throughout the RPG, Elizabeth will encounter opponents which she will have to battle. This will be done through a turn based combat system with cards such as the starter ones above. Throughout the RPG, Elizabeth will obtain new cards and even gear to improve her stats. Lets start with the battle mechanics. - When engaging in a battle, there is a 50/50 chance for you to start the battle or for the opponent to start. - Whoever starts the battle chooses a card out of their hand. Their card is then executed. After that, it will be the opposite player's turn and they will choose a card and it will get executed. The game loops in this manner until someone's health drops below 0 - Stat information: - HEALTH > Liz starts her battles with how much ever health she had prior to starting it. Her health will be deducted as a result of various damage she takes from cards that are cast. Same goes for her opponent/s' health. - FATIGUE > Fatigue is the player's capacity to cast a card. Each card has a Fatigue cost which is how much Fatigue will be deducted upon casting it. Your fatigue needs to be greater than or equal to the cost of a card to cast that card. Player starts the battle with 100 Fatigue and regenerates 25 each turn (Does not go above 200). If Fatigue drops below 100, then that player’s Resistance and Boost side stats are reduced by the following formula: (FATIGUE / 100) * STAT - MANA > Mana is another capacity for casting cards except it is a lot rarer. Each new player has a maximum of 10 mana which refills at the start of each battle. Mana does not regenerate with some rare exceptions. Some cards will have a mana cost. Those cards are usually more powerful than normal cards and require you to have enough mana to afford the cost just like fatigue - BLADDER CAPACITY > Bladder Capacity is 100 for new players. The bladder is empty at 0 and fills up by 5 per turn in battle. It can also increase outside of the battle meaning when a battle starts, your bladder capacity stays at what it was before the battle. In battle, if the capacity reaches maximum, it resets to 0 and the player wets themselves. Upon wetting themselves, a very severe debuff is applied called embarrassment. This debuff will be explained later - Side Stat information: Every side stat is split into categories based on the 4 elements, and the 3 attack types. There is also overall side stats for all categories - BOOST > Increases outgoing damage by a percent value. - RESISTANCE > Decreases incoming damage by a percent value - CRITICAL > Percent chance to deal double damage - PIERCE > Decreases the opponent’s resistance by this value when attacking Embarrassment: When a player wets, this effect is applied on them for 10 turns: -Resistance is removed during embarrassment -Can't play any cards for the first 3 turns of embarrassment -Can’t attack anyone for the rest of embarrassment Hand: A player’s hand starts with 3 random cards from their deck. Every turn, each player draws 1 additional card from their deck into their hand. A hand can have at most 7 cards. If a hand is full, cards simply aren’t drawn with no penalty. Anxiety: If a player runs out of cards from their deck, they receive anxiety for 10 turns. During anxiety: -Player’s resistance is reduced by ½ -Player’s bladder capacity increase twice as fast -Player’s Fatigue does not regenerate -After Anxiety is over, all the player’s cards are reshuffled back into their deck and a new hand of 3 cards is drawn Turns: A single turn is complete when BOTH players have made their moves ===================================== After that they had lunch. Liz sat with her new friends who she found to be very entertaining. They were also very smart. Lunch didn't have any interesting events to recount. Elizabeth walks down the hallway to her next class, stressing greatly. Her fear is finally being realized and she hasn't thought even for a minute before this moment that she was actually about to face it. It is the Dueling Arena where she would test her skills against her classmates. She enters the large chamber containing 10 dueling rings and a huge spectator area. The professor, who is a middle-aged woman, explains everything to them. They are to duel their assigned partners and then progress based on a given tournament bracket. Elizabeth finds herself going up against her friend Brandon in the first match ============================================================================================== ============================================================================================== BATTLE BEGINS. BRANDON STARTS THE BATTLE: - Brandon attacks Elizabeth using Minor Shock dealing 17 damage!: With a swing of his hand, a weak lightning bolt shoots out hitting Elizabeth. It hurts a lot more than she expected. She shrieks for a moment as the shock hits her. The pain is over in the next 5 seconds. =========================================================================================================== Elizabeth (Aurous): Brandon (Pee Shy): Health: 83 Health: 100 Mana: 10 Mana: 10 Bladder Capacity: 0 Bladder Capacity: Not Visible Fatigue: 100 Fatigue: 80 ============================================================================================== Side Stats: Electric | Frost | Fire | Life | Melee | Ranged | Magic | Overall | Boost: 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% Resistance: 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% Critical: 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% Pierce: 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% =========================================================================================================== Hand: Caltrop F: 10 M: 0 E: None DESC: Summons a caltrop on a target opponent which increases the damage he takes from his next incoming attack by 20% Minor Drought F: 35 M: 0 E: None DESC: For the next 5 turns of battle, your Bladder Capacity increase rate is reduced by 80% Minor Shock F: 20 M: 0 AT: Magic E: Electric DESC: Sends a small electric bolt at a target opponent. BlueRaven 212
Let's buff up and go Minor drought. Also, which spells are auras? Does minor drought count as one? Is caltrop a debuff aura? All that's necessary in the future is perhaps a spell type label. I might've gone confident or sentinel had I known what does what, but its decided now. None of them seem too OP, and Aurorus should be pretty good. Edited November 23, 2019 by LittleRaven556 (see edit history) Quote Link to comment
ShadowPhantom 152
@LittleRaven556 Ah yes, sorry. Should have indicated that. Auras are cards that apply an effect over time, such as minor drought. Caltrop goes on an enemy and debuffs them. It stays on them forever until they take damage. Same for the barricade except it buffs you. Ill add labels next time, thanks for the tip. Quote Link to comment

Unbeknownst 197
Caltrop. Also, stacks returns a Boolean for whether the given attribute of a card, well, stacks. For example, if multiple caltrops don’t increase the damage boost above 20%, my code would return false and keep from wasting caltrops. Quote Link to comment
