Fake accidents with a water pump and some electronics (or, the Rachel K empathy device)

If you want to use IO pins in parallel then I would recommend balancing resistors in series of each lead to the load.
This technique is used for parallel transistor load sharing. You need to check that your IO bank can source the current (probably wont).

For the bladder .... why not use a camel back or a hot water bladder (hot/lukewarm water)  strapped to your back?

This device would certainly be interesting to use.

Yeah, cold water would feel weird.
