Bed wetting

Question

In the last 6 months I’ve started wetting the bed involuntarily. I’m 43. It seems to only happen when I have alcohol. I’m not giving up alcohol but I don’t like waking up to wet sheets. I’ve been wearing depends to bed. Sometimes i don’t wet through. Is there a better, more absorbent diaper that I could buy?

Have you discussed this with your GP?  If you haven't, it might be an idea.  I'm taking it that you empty your bladder before going to bed and limit your fluid intake in the evenings?   Whilst it's important to drink a decent amount you could probably do that in the earlier part of the day so that it's out of your system well by bedtime.  Also you could probably try limiting the alcohol to a glass of wine or a pint at lunchtime.

Going to bed really drunk is asking to be wet. Still, if the wetting is a new development, medical advice is probably a good idea.

why not at least limit alcohol if you're not giving it up? and what is the history of your alcohol consumption? substances like that eventually leave consequences.

you're 43. take care for your health in any way you can, because you're going to need it. as a person ages, the troubles will start to pile up if you're not careful, and they won't go away like in a body of a 20 year old. there's a saying - warranty expires at 50. and at being 43, being 50 is practically day after tomorrow.
