Clara chooses to be female.

Very good, then. Off you go.

She momentarily feels a sense of great speed. Then, silence. Clara takes a deep breath, the first in many years.

Ahh, the scent of a new world! So fresh! So green!

She checks the sun and orients herself. She's standing in an open field. To the north is a forest, eastwards a mountain, south is another forest and to the west is more grassland.

What does Clara do first?

Clara checks her pockets. There isn't anything new there. On her HUD is a health bar, food bar, xp bar, hotbar, and a new, blue half-bar above the food bar. Her health and food are full, as is the blue bar.

I wonder what the blue one is for?

She considers exploring the grassland, but decides to make a quick stop at the forest for some wood.

A few minutes of punching trees later, Clara has 30 logs, some sticks and an apple. She begins to head towards the west, but notices a change in the blue bar. It has gone down a little bit, while the other half has gone up a few pixels in yellow.

Interesting.

Clara makes her way across the plain for a few minutes, taking care not to fall into any hidden caves or ravines and  eventually spots what could be a building far off in the distance...

Clara should:

> Set up base here

> Head towards the building

> Go underground

Intrigued, Clara approaches the structure. It's an unfamiliar design, five meters square with a pitched wooden roof and cobblestone walls. As she makes her way around she sees a door in one wall, and a crushed grass pathway leading onwards toward similar buildings nearby.

From within the house, she hears a muttered "hmm".

What should she do?

> Check inside

> Leave the area

> Check the other buildings

Clara quickly checks her pockets again, no armor there. All she's wearing are hotpants, shoes, and an orange hoodie. Backing out of her pockets, she notices that her blue bar has gone down yet more, while the yellow part has climbed roughly the same amount. It's around 20% now. She still doesn't know what it means.

Clara climbs the front steps of the house and opens the door. She is immediately comfronted by a brown-robed figure wearing a straw hat.

Ah, Longnoses. I guess they've upgraded their building techniques.

The Longnose interrupts her thoughts with a loud, quizzical "Hmm?". Clara checks what the Longnose is offering for trades. He'll exchange one emerald for 26 fresh potatoes, or six loaves of bread for one emerald. Having none of those items yet, she backs out of the discussion. The Longnose pushes past her and rushes out the door, leaving Clara alone with a white bed and a seat in the small one-room house.

What should she do?

> Follow

> Steal the bed

Clara quietly breaks the bed and slips it into her pockets, then cautiously exits the hut. She starts after the Longnose, but halts as a large iron automaton strides into view from behind another building. Not wanting to risk tangling with one of those this early on, Clara decides to leave. As she exits the village, she checks the sun's motion and determines that it's getting late. It'll be dark soon, and that's a very bad time to be without shelter or armor. In the distance can be heard the slamming of doors as the Longnoses scramble to get inside for the impending night.

Clara should...

> Start building a shelter

> Continue wandering

Clara walks a good distance from the village, and begins digging through the soil with her bare hands. Once she reaches stone, she makes a wooden pickaxe and a wooden spade. Gathering 3 cobblestone, she switches over to a stone pickaxe immediately. She then  carves out a small 3x4x2-meter room and gets out the stolen bed, placing it in the corner. Clara makes a storage chest and a furnace and sets them next to the bed.

I'm glad none of this has changed, at least.

By this point the sun is dropping below the horizon and Clara's food bar is down to 75%, so she eats one apple, filling it back to 95%. The mysterious blue/yellow bar has changed too, the blue part down to 70% and the yellow up to 30. Clara feels a faint tingling in her body now that she can't quite locate. She can hear skeletons rattling in the distance and the fleshy "plick" of wandering zombie feet, so she assembles a stone sword, too.

What should Clara do now?
