JulesH 230
Despite the numerous topics about accidents on airplanes, including one I made before myself (Link: Inflight Medical Emergency), I thought I should create a new one about a new experience. Two weeks ago I had a short domestic flight to Kobe. When checking in the attendant informed the seat I had chosen was dirty and asked if I would like to change. I asked "how dirty" and after a 10s call she informed it was just cleaned but still wet. I shrugged and gladly accepted the change. I got curious after boarding and asked a FA if I "could sit on that empty seat there" to which she promptly replied there was pee on it. Later I checked online and saw that the same aircraft on another short hop before on that day performed a go-around, most likely due to the typhoon nearby. The extra 10 to 20 minutes without being able to leave the seat were probably too much for someone who was already on the limit. Must be terrible wetting yourself on such a brief flight, but left me wondering how often those accidents happen. I got motivated to tell what happened after seeing this article today (and feeling happy I didn't have to stand a pee soaked seat, despite the fetish I don't want to sit on a stranger's pee puddle):http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4809152/Man-shares-image-urine-soaked-seat-1-200-BA-flight.html Quote Link to comment
BENAir01 601
Oh, that's not good. I feel quite bad for the passenger, but it is true the added time of a go around plus the sudden and scary motion and noise could be too much for someone. In addition on a short flight like Tokyo to Kobe or Fukuoka to Kobe would they even turn off the seatbelt sign at all? The person may have been holding the entire way! Matias 125
someone who know someone working as a flight attendant? They may have the best answer. Quote Link to comment
