Imouto Bouquet 581
*Winning vote: Check the other door.* Taking into consideration Emi's current physical capacity, you decide that it'd be better advised to ignore the blocked door for now, noting down the blockage on your developing map, and head to the second door leading in. Continuing down the hallway for a few moments, you reach the second door leading into the classroom, and a set of stairs leading both up and down come into view. Further down the corridor, opposite the next doorway, is a continuation of the main thoroughfare of the hallways. From this distance, you can barely make out three more doorways. There are two side by side on the left hand wall, the same side the stairs are on, with a sign on the ceiling near them marking out what they are. The vague silhouettes on the signs, covered with dust and looking a little worse for wear, indicated that these were, possibly, student facilities. You note them down on your map as points of interest. Hopefully, there'll still be running, reasonably clean water in this run down establishment. At the end of the corridor were a set of double doors leading out to what looked like an overhead balcony area. This could be a connecting hallway to another part of the school, or it could just lead to a dead end. Either way, you note down another possible exploration route on your developing map. At your current position, you have a lot of options where you could go. Nonetheless, the completionist spirit in you urges you on to check the second doorway leading into the classroom or, rather, have Emi give it a test push. Emi gently tries the handle once more and, like the previous one, this door looks to open, but remains shut. "Door's a little stuck." Emi points out as she tries once more, using her shoulder for leverage, and the door is forced open, but scrapes across the wooden flooring tiles with a grating wood on wood screeching sound. If there's anything in the surrounding area, which is most unlikely, they probably would've picked up on the noise as well. Once the dust from the door opening clears, the room behind it looks very much like the room you both woke up in. However, this one has a selection of four easels around a table with a metal bucket on, much like an art lesson on still life painting was disturbed. The canvasses on the easels are covered in a mixture of dust and some unidentified grime, making what was on them rather hard to make out. Emi looks reluctant to enter the room after seeing the strange set-up, her eyes transfixed on the easels. What will you do? Imouto Bouquet 581
*Clear winner again: Asking about Thoughts on the Easels/Canvasses, Searching Said items and searching the bucket* Piqued by why your companion bears some reluctance to the normal/abnormal setup of the next room, you can't help but ask her opinion on them. Hearing a sudden request for communication from you startled the young girl somewhat, but it was nothing more than just a simple surprise from hearing your usual quiet self asking questions. "I don't really like the look of them..." Emi admits quietly. "They look creepy, all perfectly organised in this place. Plus, it's colder in this room than the others we've been to. I really don't wanna go in. Can we turn around, please?" Your thermal scanners do indicate that this room is, indeed, a few degrees colder than the rest of the place, and it's not like the entirety of this place is warmer than a office room with a broken AC in the middle of Autumn (Fall). The drop in temperature could just be down to the broken windows at the back of the room, which your night-vision is able to pick up. Throwing aside the concerns of your companion, you decide to enter this proverbial ice-box of a room and look around. Emi's reluctant to move from the doorway, but soon does when the afterglow of your torch begins to move away from her. However, she's adamant about staying away from the strange 'class' going on in the middle of the room, only just edging around the limits of the light just so she's not left in the darkness. From the corner of your camera, you can just see Emi's breath misting up in this cold room. It hasn't done that in the rest of this place... With Emi's lack of co-operation, you can only really do a cursory scan of the Easels and the bucket. The base composition appears to be as one would expect of such things, however, the 'paint' and grime on the Canvasses carry more metallic elements than they should. The bucket, as well, seems a little off in its makeup. You can't quite place just what they are without doing an indepth scan or having assistance in pulling aside the covers over them. But, with Emi being as cautious as she is, it may be difficult. What will you do? Rinatro 190
If Emi doesn't want to do it, we shouldn't force her to do it. Since she doesn't want to be in the room all that long, I say we explain to her very carefully what we are going to do. Tell her that you are going to use your sensors to do an in depth scan of the easels and the bucket, as well as use our sonar to quickly search the room... but that it will dim the light, tell her it will only be for a moment, and if she wants she can come put a hand on our robotic drone for mental security. Make sure we reassure her that we will leave immediately afterwords. From there, give her a chance to react and then do the scans. Quote Link to comment

Imouto Bouquet 581
*Tied votes on either ordering/informing Emi of the search. Down to writer discretion.* *Winning vote: Do an indepth scan of the Arrangement in the middle after informing Emi, ping sonar.* (Decision based on least likely to reduce current Standing with Emi/Emi's Mood) Taking into account your partner's concern and reluctance to get anywhere near the disturbing arrangement in the middle of the room, you inform Emi of your plan, reassuring her with the idea that she can touch the drone for mental security, and that you'll leave the room once the scan is done. "Please make it quick. I don't like this room." Emi answered as she placed her hand on the drone's outer carapace. As you begin to dim the torch to carry out and detailed scan of the items in the middle of the room, Emi's pulse rate quickens a little, as notified by your carapace's sensors, and her breathing also becomes slightly quickened. You start you scan with the easels: The first thing which pops up on the scanners is the base composition of most artistic easels, with a few adjustements for the oil based paints splattered on them. However, as your scan pulls up more information, some rather concering results show up in the makeup of these easels. Chemical compounds which shouldn't be on them at all in those measurements... ...Carbon, Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Oxygen with small amounts of Phosphorous Iron, Sodium, Magnesium, Sulphur, Calcium and Chlorine. You don't need to scan them any more to figure out what those elements are included in. Perhaps it would be better to not let Emi know what they're made of. However, you could just be overthinking things due to the atmosphere and Emi's concern. It may be perfectly normal for those to be on the easels if they've been handled by people. Your next target for scanning is the bucket. It appears mostly normal. It's just a rusted bucket, after all. However, the contents included seems to be heavily iron based. Going over the chemicals inside, you find out that Haemoglobin is included, at around a 3rd in volume. Maybe this bucket had been moved from a Home Economics classroom? That would explain the solution inside. Judging by the depth scan, the content appears to reach just below a tenth of the bucket's total volume. Finally, you ping your sonar to find out what may be of interest in this room... As one would expect, the entire assembly in the middle of the room could potentially be useful, in a vague sense. Buckets do have a lot of uses for transporting or holding various things, if one is willing to hold the item, of course. The easels, despite their concerning composition, may hold clues regarding this strange place, or they may just be useful as base materials for something else. In the back corner of the room opposite yourself and Emi, closest to the windows, something small reacted to the ping from the sonar, but it also appears that there's some kind of 'guard', for want of a better word, preventing one from reaching it. All the sonar picks up is a blockage over the item, in a rather large, if slightly oval, shape. Without shining a light on it, it'll be hard to figure out what it is. One final item reacted to the sonar... ...how strange... Just above the assembly in the centre of the room, hanging from the ceiling right above the bucket, there appears to be some object. Try as you might, you cannot make the sonar pick up any more than that. There's some kind of electromagnetic interference preventing the sonar from fully discerning what the object it. What is really unusual is that, even with the light on, there appeared to be nothing above the bucket in the middle of the room. Just what could this mean? Once your scan is over, you increase the volume of light in the space to its original level, prompting a sigh of relief from Emi. "All done now? Can we go?" Emi questions. What will you do? Interact (Talk with Emi, use items)Check Inventory Search the room completely Order Emi to search the Easels/Canvasses Order Emi to search the Bucket Search the object and 'guard' in the back corner of the room Try to find out what the object above the bucket was Inform Emi of your findings regarding the composition of the Easels Inform Emi of your findings regarding the contents of the BucketIgnore this room and head to the other unexplored classroomReenter the First ClassroomTry the stairs Continue down the corridor to the Toilets or the Double Doors Request Emi search the hallway opposite this classroom Turn back and round the corner at the other end of the hall near Classroom 1Refresh Status Scan informationUse your Sonar to check for anything important (2 post cooldown active)Other Edited November 24, 2016 by Roka-tan (see edit history) Quote Link to comment

We can always come back to that room later if it seems we need to do something there. I suggest checking the bathrooms for fresh water before trying the double doors. Imouto Bouquet 581
*Winning Votes: Leaving the Room, Checking the Double Doors.* *Split Votes: Inform of Findings, Check for sources of Fresh Water, Search the object above the Bucket, Search the Object in the back of the room.* *Line Picker Winner: Inform of Findings* Completing your recon of the room, you decide that you've spent enough time in this place. In addition, it's clear that your Companion would not want to be in here much longer, considering the strange Cold-Spot like atmosphere in the room. You apologise to Emi as you head out of the room and back into the corridor. "Just don't do that too often, please." Emi responds, sounding a little more calm than she was in that classroom. As you pass through the door, with Emi following along behind you, a sudden, loud clattering echos from the room you just left, causing Emi to shriek in fear and run away from the source of the sudden noise. Turning to see what it was, you discover that the Bucket that was on the table had just been knocked onto the floor, and the contents of it were spilling out... ..that definitely was blood in that bucket... Plus, the easels surrounding the table in the middle had also fallen over, especially at the front. Your cursory scan of them provided results of there being elements similar to skin making up the base composition. It wasn't just overthinking things. The cover that was thrown over them to hide the picture was not just a traditional dust cloth. It was flayed skin... The room had also undergone some cosmetic changes in your absence. The room looked even more decrepit than before, with patches of dried red staining the middle of the room. The item above the table which your scan couldn't pick up appeared to be a noose tied from chicken-wire. The hole where the neck would go was still dripping blood onto the table. It still had some patches of what looked like skin stuck to the sharp edges. Perhaps it's better to not let Emi know what happened there and hope that the room doesn't stay that way... Thankfully, Emi hadn't gone very far before you caught up to her again. She was crouched on the floor whimpering and sobbing when you reached her. Now came the difficult part of consoling this scared girl. You could be completely truthful, explaining just what had happened in that room and why it may not be a good idea to go back for now, or you could bend it a little, saying that the wind caused the bucket to fall over and its weight knocked the easels over. However, that'd have to be a pretty strong gust of wind to accomplish that... How will you console Emi, and will you continue with your previous plan? State the absolute truth, leaving no detail out. State the absolute truth, omitting a few more concerning details. Bend the truth a little, using 'Childish Logic' to explain the occurrences. Bend the truth a little, claiming that you're just as clueless how it happened as she is. Completely lie, saying that nothing happened and that it was just her imagination. What actions should you take once Emi's been informed? Continue with previous plan (Check the Double Doors, explain previous findings) Check Inventory Return to the room and search it completely to see if it is still different Ignore that room and your previous plan and head to the other unexplored classroom Reenter the First Classroom Try the stairs Check the Toilets Turn back and round the corner at the other end of the hall near Classroom 1 Refresh Status Scan informationUse your Sonar to check for anything important (1 post cooldown active) Other *You can pick one of the explanations and even suggest ways to word them. The other choices remain the same, unless you continue with your previous actions. If you choose to do that, you can pick one more option from the rest of the list.* *Minor Edit for Clarity: If you wish to do one action of the two planned out before, you can substitute the other for another one of the mentioned actions. Remember: Up to three actions can be suggested at a time to be done.* Edited December 22, 2016 by Roka-tan Clarity edit due to response. Nikeryda 181
Bend the truth and say we don't know how it happened either. I was probably just the wind or we bumped something on our way out. We can still check the doors but don't explain the findings now. Quote Link to comment
Rinatro 190
As much as I really don't want to, we need to tell her the whole truth. The more information she has now, the better her chances of survival. Though let's break it to her carefully in a way that doesn't absolutely send her into a sobbing mess Quote Link to comment
Imouto Bouquet 581
*@Waluigi: Wrong! Saying it once was bad enough, but repeating it just because of a break is getting kind of grating. I originally left it for a while as I couldn't work off a single reply fairly, and the second break was down to being rather busy. I'm trying to keep around 5RPs updated regularly, and also balance that with a full time job, a 'small' social life and ensuring I have free time to do other things. I understand the want to bump a thread to alert me of it, but you could put it in a less sarcastic and insulting way. I may not be the only one (or I may be) but I can't stand people jumping to the conclusion that a thread is dead due to a large space between replies, which is still less than 4-6 months. Anyway, minor rant over, back to normal running.* *Winning actions: State the truth, Check the doors* Deciding that the more information about this place given, the better chances of getting out are, you inform Emi of the complete truth, though you omit some of the more concerning details to prevent terrifying the girl some more. You decide to put it across in this way: you inform her of what the source of the noise was and that you should probably not enter that room again for a little while, claiming the source of the bucket falling over was down to one of the table legs breaking. Hopefully, her concern for the rest of the room being equally as rickety would dissuade her from returning. You remember that she has Acrophobia, that alone should be enough to keep her from entering due to potential holes appearing in the floor. *Trust Check: Pass* Thankfully, Emi seems to buy your partial lie. You spend a few more minutes with her to help settle her nerves back to a reasonable level before heading off to complete your planned objectives. ||Status Warning: Emi's 'Mood' has become 'Fearful', she may not perform certain commands without accompaniment,|| On your way towards the double doors, you catch, out of the corner of your camera, a few glances from Emi towards the doors to your immediate left. However, her attention soon turns back to the doors in front of you. These large doors have windows near the top of them. Through these windows, you can vaguely make out what appears to be a walkway. It looks mostly enclosed from your point of view, but it could be entirely different when you head through them. From your knowledge of a likely layout of buildings like this, through these doors could be a connecting hallway from one part of the campus to another. The doors didn't appear to be that hard to move. Emi could possibly open them without exerting much effort. You still had a fair amount of this building, and this floor, to explore, but you could always check the other building for connecting walkways like this one to return to this section should you wish to do so.
