I loved it. The slow build-up and foreshadowing at the beginning only made the climax even better. I think this might be more suited for the Fiction section, but I wouldn't take my word for it.

The reason why the author made Amber cry so much is I think reality.

 

In my opinion, the author focused much on reality and the human emotion at the situation, not just pointing out the desperation :)

Hmm interesting I guess.  Do you think she was in so much panic cause of the physical pain she was in, or something else?
