  1. Eyo, what’s poppin everybody! Got a new story for you today. It had a pretty dumb start. A joke someone made about Asuna’s Descent on my Of Death Games and Diapers thread (on Omorashi org, for those reading on DeviantArt) ended up getting the idea of a rewrite of Asuna’s Descent stuck in my head for days. As I fleshed it out, it kind of became its own thing only loosely inspired by Asuna’s Descent, and now here we are. In effort of full disclosure, while there will be some light drama here and there, this story is also an experiment with writing in a lighter, sillier tone than is typical in my work. Also, this story is an alternate universe, and at the moment FullDive VR isn’t even a thing in it yet. Final content warning, but this story dips a bit more heavily into the AB side of things than my work normally does. If none of this bothers you, read on, I think you might have some fun xD. See you below! D for (Diapered) Detention Chapter One: Demotion “It’s morning…” I mumbled, raising a hand to my eyes to block the sun shining in through the blinds. My eyes slowly fluttered open to the beeping of my alarm clock. I blearily looked over at the time — eight AM. Right… a Saturday. As the alarm continued to sound off, I lazily looked up at the ceiling, letting the noise knock the cobwebs out of my head little by little. But then, I bolted upright in bed as I felt a familiar twinge, so intense I could barely stand it. “I gotta pee!” I quickly got out of bed and rushed out of my bedroom, making a mad dash for the bathroom only a few meters’ distance away. But when I grasped the handle and turned, knees trembling in desperation, it wouldn’t budge — it was locked. “Who’s in there? I gotta go, now!” I urgently cried, banging a fist on the door. A voice called back, sounding frustratingly relaxed. “It’s me, Sugu. I’m almost done, don’t worry!” As I waited, I began to fidget with my legs to try and quell the urge for just a few more moments. But soon, that wasn’t enough — a tiny spurt escaped, warming my crotch. So I began hopping from one foot to the other, doing everything I could to keep moving so my body wouldn’t relax enough to lose control. “C-Can you please just let me in?!” I asked again — louder this time, panicked. “I don’t think I can wait!” A moment later, I heard the sound of the toilet flushing, taunting me from a place I couldn’t reach. My hand jammed into my crotch just in time to prevent another spurt from becoming a full-blown accident. As I continued doing a glorified potty dance, I angrily wondered if my big sis started doing this on purpose; did she want me to pee my pants like a grade schooler? Again? After the flush died down, my sister’s voice called out again, sounding a little amused. “Okay, I’m basically done! Let me just wash my hands.” Wait, no— Before I could tell her to stop, the sound of the running faucet met my ears… “Oh no, no, no…!” It was too much for my bladder to take. I tried to jam my other hand down there too in order to stem the flow, but it didn’t do a thing. I spurted once. Twice. I peed for a second… two seconds… I teared up in embarrassed frustration and slumped to the floor, unable to stop peeing until I had nothing left to hold in. A complete failure to make it… again. Worse, it happened while I was awake, and that meant I’d have to— The bathroom door suddenly opened, and my sister walked out, sitting down in front of me with an amused smirk. She lifted the hem of my nightgown and reached out to feel my underwear, something she’d done countless times my whole life. “Well, looks like you don’t have to go anymore,” she said in a teasing tone, letting go of the hem to put a supportive hand on my shoulder. “It’s a good thing you wore a diaper to bed. I think your pullups would’ve leaked.” As she stood up and pulled me to my feet, I groaned. “Don’t remind me, dummy…” Why tease me with something I can’t have anymore? I stood there, waiting for her to grab my hand and take me back to my room to change me into a fresh diaper, but she just started walking back to her own room instead. After a moment, she seemed to notice I was staring and paused for a moment. “There’s a pullup for you to change into in the bathroom,” she said, giving me a casual wave over her shoulder. “You don’t need my help for that, do you?” “What? B-But just now was my second daytime strike,” I sputtered, totally unprepared for this sudden kind gesture. I wet myself on the way home from the store last night, so why would she…? She turned back to smile at me out of the corner of her eye. “I’m going over to Kotone’s house today,” she said, shrugging her shoulders before walking back to her room. “That accident happened in your sleep. No need to report a daytime strike for a nighttime accident, right?” A few moments later, her bedroom door shut behind her and left me alone in the hall. She… planned to look the other way? She was going to cover for me in her report to mom? She hadn’t been this nice to me about my potty training since before I turned thirteen… A wide grin crept onto my face as I headed into the bathroom to start off my day with a nice shower. But as my eyes found the pullup sis left for me on the toilet seat, I finally noticed something off about the whole situation. By the time I woke up, my sister was already in the bathroom. She couldn’t have known I would wake up while she was in here and need to pee right away; this was the first night in a week I didn’t wake up soaked. So why did she bring one of my pullups with her into the bathroom? I rang the doorbell to my best friend’s house, waiting out there in the blazing summer heat as the cicadas sang me a symphony. The veranda above the front door shielded me from the sun’s withering rays, but having to walk from the train station to her house in this unbearable heat left my clothes more liquid than solid at this point. Good thing Kotone and I are mostly the same sizes… I dryly thought with a sigh. Because I really need a shower after all that sweat. “Mitsuki, the door’s unlocked!” a familiar voice called down to me from the door atop the veranda a few moments after I rang. “You can go ahead and come in.” No need to tell me twice. I barged right in, locking the door behind me as I relished the exquisitely cold air for a moment before walking in. I took the stairs on my left up to the second floor, where I found a certain blue-eyed blondie waiting for me in her bedroom doorway, dressed in a blue hoodie jacket over a pink and white-striped top with lace trim, with a green button up shirt in between. Her golden mini skirt and black thigh highs completed the look, and I briefly wondered why the hell she was dressed for an outing on a Saturday morning. And a fall outing too, in the middle of summer… She gave me a smile and a wave. “Welcome. You look exhausted, is it really that bad out there? Maybe I should go for something lighter…” “Okay, what’s the deal here? I just got here and you’re already prepping to leave?” I gave her a disillusioned look. “I refuse to go outside again right after the hellish walk here from the train station. Which by the way, I need a shower and a change of clothes before I drown in my own sweat.” In response, Takemiya Kotone averted her eyes, focusing on the backpack I held around my left shoulder as her cheeks reddened. “I mean… if I’m gonna commit to this, then I need to make sure no one will notice, right? That means going out where people can see me…” “I still think this is the absolute dumbest idea you’ve ever had,” I replied, handing her the backpack with a sigh and a look. “Here. Brought it just like you asked. But you realize you need people to notice, right? If Sugu doesn’t, then there’s no point in putting one on.” “Oh, huh. You’re right…” she said as she grabbed the backpack, before turning around and leading us back into her room. “Didn’t think about that. Guess I have to be pretty brazen about it…” I smirked as I followed her inside and sat on the bed while she rooted around in her dresser’s bottom right drawer for some clothes, tossing out ones in black and gray every few seconds. We hung out often enough that she kept clothes in my colors for when I came over, but… yeah, she never bought any in my usual boyish style. No pants or tank tops for me, only short skirts and girlish tops, and the rest… I shuddered. Lace and frills for days. Before long, she had an outfit picked out for me. A black mini skirt, a black bra and panties set with silver lace, and a black, silver-laced, frilled top which left the midriff and collarbones exposed. I sighed. I would complain about the outfit, but it was a free change of clothes, and she did buy all this black and silver almost exclusively for my benefit, so… beggars can’t be choosers. “Thanks, you lace fiend,” I replied with a sardonic smile, taking the clothes laid out for me as I got up to head to the bathroom for a shower. “Be back after I shower. In the meantime, get a game set up for when I get back. Doesn’t matter what.” She smiled back — a warmer, more genuine smile than mine. “Kay, see you in a bit!” My own grin lightened up as I left the room. Didn’t have a mean bone in her body, this one. Though I guess that’s the problem with her. Too nice, too much empathy, and too many weird ideas on how to show it. Still, she’s not the worst person to have around. As I entered the bathroom and began to strip, I couldn’t help but smirk at the thought of what she just made me bring her. … Once you get past the dumb shit she does on days like today. With a refreshed sigh, I opened the door to Kotone’s room and slipped inside, eyes half closed as I instinctively tugged at my skirt. “I’m back… what are we playing?” “Forgotten World 303. You brought your laptop, so we may as well play an MMO.” Kotone called back, sounding a little… shy? Laptop? She looked through my bag already? I opened my eyes in curiosity, only to instinctively look away. “The hell are you doing?” Welp. That was a thing. She already put it on while I was in the shower, which I kind of expected, but did she have no shame? Why the hell did she take her skirt off? I know I said she needed people to notice, but that didn’t mean she had to make it completely impossible not to see… I heard a familiar giggle. “You said I wanted people to notice, right?” she teased, and I saw her smile deviously out of the corner of my eye. “Just following your advice.” This fuckin prankster…! “Touché, now put your skirt back on!” I snapped back in a huff. After she covered back up, we settled in to game, Kotone on her bed and me on her beanbag chair. We played Forgotten World 303 for a good while, leaving a trail of destruction in our wake as we traversed the post-apocalyptic open world in search of rare material drops to craft some legendary weapons. About an hour in, when we returned to a town to craft, my best friend moved her laptop aside and sat up in bed, preparing to get up. “I’ll be right back,“ she said, standing up and moving for the door. “I’ve gotta use the toilet…” I smirked, grabbing her wrist just before she reached the door and dragging her back to her bed. “You’re wearing your toilet,” I told her, knowing I probably had a grin like the Cheshire Cat. “You need to test its capacity. But more importantly, you’ll have to get used to using them if you want Sugu to buy this oh-so-brilliant plan of yours.” Kotone blushed and averted her eyes. “But I… I just—” “No excuses! Now quit being a baby and pee your pullup!” With that as my war cry, I pushed her back on her bed and began the attack. I relentlessly tickled her, making sure to hit all the right spots — neck, underarms, sides, midriff, you name it. She laughed hysterically, struggling in vain to escape as I gradually ramped up my four-fingered assault. “Hahah — Mitsuki, stop — Ahahaha!” she cried out breathlessly, her laughter intensifying by the second. “Seriously, I — Ahahah — I’m really about to—” A soft hissing noise cut off her protests. I stopped tickling with a satisfied grin as we both went silent, frozen by the sound of her failing bladder. She could’ve stopped the flow at this point, but she just lay there, peeing her pants without resistance. As the stream began to taper off, she sat up, blushing and panting lightly while vacantly staring out into space. I snapped her out of it when I instinctively reached beneath her skirt to feel the pullup. She flinched backwards, glaring at me as I felt her up with a fiery blush on her face. “Hey! What are you doing? Stop that!” I pulled my hand away with an amused smirk. “Just checking to see if you need a change. Looks like it can handle one more wetting before it’ll leak.” “How can a pullup hold that much? I thought they were only supposed to be for light leaks…” she asked, reaching under her skirt to gingerly feel it herself. “Normally, yeah. But Sugu is a heavy wetter,” I replied with a shrug. “We had to get her some pretty absorbent ones, otherwise she’d leak if she wet herself at school… which happens a lot. And you know how other students would react to that…” “Social suicide… poor Sugu-chan.” Kotone’s eyes dropped to the floor as her shoulders slumped. “It’s gotta be rough for her, to have to deal with issues and risks like this all alone.” I put a hand on her shoulder, offering a warm, supportive smile. “Look, I still think this idea of yours is really, really dumb… but at least it means she won’t have to be the only one who deals with this anymore. So… thanks.” She gave me a sunny smile in return, wrapping me in a hug. “Sure! We’ve been friends since we were toddlers. I’ve gotta support you two sisters however I can, right?” You’re a weirdo if you think this method of support makes sense, I chastised her in my head as I returned her embrace. But you’re the nicest weirdo I know. After we pulled apart, I decided to tease her again. “So, you just peed your pants for the first time since that time in the third grade. How does it feel?” She flicked my forehead. “Quit talking ancient history!” she retorted with a fiery blush. “But, um… it feels very… warm. I know you’ll never let me live it down, but… it doesn’t feel so bad. Kinda comfy…” I couldn’t keep it together. I cracked up into a fit of giggles, laughing like I’d just bore witness to the funniest standup joke of all time. So hard I could barely breathe, let alone muster a reply. I collapsed onto the bed, grabbing her hand and taking her down with me as I laughed like no tomorrow. “You don’t have to laugh that hard, you know…” she weakly protested in between my giggles. Maybe I went a little overboard… she sounded a little hurt. But seriously, how was I supposed to react? Still, she did put herself in a pretty vulnerable position there… I should probably apologize. As my laughter finally began to subside, I gave her hand a squeeze. “Sorry, sorry, it’s just… I never expected that. But it’s — hahah — it’s fine, I’m no one to judge,” I replied with a bright grin. “If anything, now I don’t have to worry that you’re putting yourself through hell for Sugu with this. Speaking of Sugu, though… pretty sure she’s about to be punished.” Kotone’s hand tensed up. “What? Why?” I looked over at her. Blue eyes stared into mine, open wide with worry. About what I expected. Almost made me feel bad for what I had to tell her… Almost. “Well, in order to bring you the pullup you’re wearing, I had to take it from Sugu’s stash. The stash is monitored by mom to keep Sugu honest,” I replied with a shrug. The one I left in the bathroom for Sugu would’ve been the one I took, but since she nearly caught me in the act, I took another while she showered. “When mom finds out it’s missing, what do you think she’ll assume? I’ll tell you: she’s gonna think Sugu wet herself and hid the evidence to avoid a strike. And since she already had one strike, that means…” “I’m home, Suguha-chan.” I nearly jumped out of my skin as a voice called out to me from the other side of my bedroom door. I felt a small spot on my pullup suddenly warm up, and I instantly realized that I just leaked. As my heart raced from the startle, I put a hand over my chest and tried to take deep breaths, the summer homework at my desk totally forgotten. It’s okay… mom doesn’t give me strikes for small leaks. Only big accidents. Speaking of my mom, my bedroom door opened next, and she came barging in. It always went like this… she never gave me any privacy, for as far back as I could remember. She walked over to me with a warm smile on her face. “Hi mom,” I replied, finally calming down. “Don’t startle me like that!” She patted me on the head. “Sorry, sweetie, but you know you startle easy. There isn’t much more I can do about that.” She ruffled my hair a bit before patting me on the shoulder. “Now come on. Time to check your diaper.” “But moooooom, it’s a pullup today!” I whined, huffing a little and standing up anyway. I knew better than to tell her no. She chuckled warmly. “It won’t be for long if you keep up that tone.” I gulped. She’s joking… right? She pulled the pants of my red tracksuit down, then gave my pullup a good squeeze. She seemed to notice the small wet spot right away. “Dear, did you know your pullup is wet?” That tone… has me kind of worried… I looked down at my pullup. The wet spot… it looked bigger than it felt when I leaked. That’d make an awfully big wet patch on my panties if mom hadn’t put me back in pullups last night. But big enough for a strike? I didn’t know… I nodded, rubbing the back of my head nervously. “I leaked when you startled me just now. It’s not too big, is it? I can stay in pullups, right?” “This was a pretty big leak, hon… so let’s compromise,” mom said, ruffling my hair again. “You can keep wearing pullups, but you have to stay in them an extra day before going back to big girl panties. How does that sound?” I grinned, worries fading away. “That’s fine. Thanks, mom!” “Of course, dear,” mom replied with another tousle of my hair, before walking over to my bed and crouching down. “But let’s get you a new pullup. Wouldn’t want you to get a rash, now would we?” She reached under my bed and pulled out an open pack of my white medical pullups for teens and adults. She put her hand through the opening torn in the end, but paused after rooting around a bit. What was she waiting for, exactly? In an eerily calm tone, mom turned around and looked me dead in the eyes. “Suguha-chan. You’ve kept dry today before leaking just now, right?” Her voice sent chills down my spine. That wasn’t mom’s usual, affectionate voice. She reserved this voice for when sis and I got in trouble. But… why would she ask that? She couldn’t know about my accident this morning… right? “Y-Yeah, I did,” I told her, unable to stop my voice from shaking a bit. It’s gonna be okay. There’s no way she found out. It’ll be fine, it’ll be— “Then why is there a pullup missing today?” My blood ran cold. I froze up for a second — I had no idea what she was talking about, but I already knew it wouldn’t end well for me. “I-I don’t know…” That’s when it hit me. Sis took a pullup with her into the bathroom before I woke up. I don’t know why, but she probably took another before she left for her best friend’s house. But if I told mom, I’d have to explain that I wet myself this morning, and I’d be demoted back to diapers anyway. So I couldn’t tell her that. “Don’t lie to me, Suguha-chan. I thought you grew past this childish behavior years ago. I thought you knew better than that, and you know I can tell when you lie to me,” mom said in a stern voice. “But if you had an accident, covered it up, and lied to my face, then clearly you aren’t responsible enough to keep trying to toilet train. You can try again some other time.” What? No, no, no! “But mom, that’s not fair! I really don’t know what happened to it!” I protested. Tears gathered in the corners of my eyes as I realized I just lost pullup privileges. But if I had nothing to lose… “Mitsuki took a pullup into the bathroom this morning! She let me wear it after I woke up, but she probably took another while I took a shower!” Mom glared at me, so intensely that I took a step back without thinking. “And now you blame your sister? That takes some nerve, little missie,” she snapped at me. I hadn’t seen her this mad since I was thirteen… “If you insist on lying and blaming others for your own mistakes like a spoiled child, then trying to use the toilet is clearly a distraction. For the next month, you will wear your toilet, and I will hear no more excuses!” A whole month? Just like when I was thirteen?! Even worse, that meant I would be stuck in diapers for all of summer vacation. It wasn’t fair! Mitsuki had to be the one who took the pullup, but I knew mom would never believe me now. I wouldn’t be able to go to the pool or the beach without showing my shame for everyone to see, and it’d even mess up my forms during kendo practice…! “Mom, I’m sixteen already! Stop treating me like a little kid and just listen for once!” I shouted back, finally fed up. “I really didn’t try to cover anything up! Mitsuki really did take a pullup into the bathroom! She had to be the one who took the missing one!” Mom stood up and walked over to me with a fiery glower. “Don’t you take that tone with me, young missy! If you want to be treated your age, then act like it! Lying and blaming others is something a small child would do! If I hear one more disrespectful word out of you, you’ll be banned from pants and skirts as well, and everyone you meet will see just how childish you are!” I couldn’t keep it together anymore. I burst into tears, slumping to the floor and sobbing like… like a baby. Mom’s expression finally softened, and she gently helped me up, walking me over to my bed. She laid me down, then reached underneath the bed and pulled out wipes, rash cream and my pack of diapers. Not the medical kind I wore to bed last night either… a pack of super thick adult diapers with childish magical girl designs she reserved for punishments. My sobbing got even louder at the sight. Mom ran her hand through my hair. “Sweetie, it’ll be okay,” she said, voice calm and gentle again. “You’re not ready yet, but you can try to toilet train again when school starts back up. Needing diapers doesn’t make you a baby, it just makes you different.” While I continued sobbing, mom got right to work. She tore the sides of my last pullup for a month and pulled it out from under me, tossing it in the diaper bin at the foot of my bed. Then, she unfolded one of my diapers, lifted my legs and slid it underneath me. She lowered me onto the soft, almost pillowy padding, then took a wipe and wiped me clean, and finally rubbed on some diaper rash cream all over my diaper area. After finishing all that, she brought up the front panel, then taped it snugly into place, sealing me into my padded prison. It was over… my year-long fifth toilet training attempt ended in failure. As she pulled the pants of my tracksuit back up, I realized they didn’t do a great job concealing my new, childish underwear. The waistband of my diaper stuck out over the top, and the bulge looked pretty obvious. I sniffled at the thought, curling into a ball on the sheets with a light crinkle. Mom soothingly rubbed my back, whispering words of comfort every so often until I finally stopped crying. She gave me a kiss on the forehead, then stood back up. “That must’ve been exhausting for you. I think a nap would do you some good,” she said, heading for the door. “I’ll be in the kitchen, dear. I’ll wake you up when dinner is ready. Get some good rest, sweetie.” She left and closed the door behind her. As if on cue, a moment later I felt an ironic feeling. I had to pee, really bad. I wished I could use the toilet, but mom probably locked the bathroom door again. And besides… as much as I hated it, I had my toilet taped around my waist now. Ffsssssshhhhhh… No point in trying to hold it now, so I didn’t bother. As exhaustion set in and I drifted off to sleep, I couldn’t help but find the warmth of my shameful accident frustratingly comforting. I’m gonna guess that this last scene made some people uncomfortable lol. Never fear, Sugu will cheer up soon. Also, if you’re wondering who Kotone is, she’s a gameverse character more commonly known by the name Philia. Read up on her some more here: https://swordartonline.fandom.com/wiki/Takemiya_Kotone As an aside, if you’re looking for a super realistic story, this one likely isn’t for you lol. This chapter might’ve clued you in, but realism isn’t a major goal for this story, as it’s almost entirely written for fun and tonal experimentation. Apart from that, don’t have much to say here that I didn’t up top. Catch you next chapter!
  2. Yo! Bet you guys forgot about me for a bit, right? It's been a while since I last posted anything on this site, that much is for sure. I decided that rather than putting all the content warnings in this opening author note, it might be better to make them all tags instead. As you can see, though, that got out of hand prety quickly... there's fifrteen of those fuckers because of it, and that's just all the basic stuff - it doesn't cover any of the other pairings which will take place should this story last long enough. And to top it all off, all I have to show for it so far is a complete list of eye powers on Deviant Art and a really short prologue... but I should have more sometime soon. I'm slowly removing the roadblocks which have prevented me from writing recently, one at a time. Anyway, without further ado, go ahead and read the prologue! Breaking the Cycle Prologue: That Which Cannot Be Replaced “Big sis! Our clan is being attacked! We’re being wiped out one after another!” The sound of metal seamlessly slicing through wood rang through the summer air as the double-edged katana in my right hand cleaved one of the solid wood targets set up in the Takamachi clan’s courtyard in two. The top half slid down the diagonal cut until it fell to the ground with a loud thud, the noise briefly drowning out the constant harmonious song of the cicadas in the trees which made up the area’s perimeter. “They just killed Mom!” “They killed Mom?! How did they even— no, it doesn’t matter! Take me to them right now! I’ll crush them all before they even notice I’m there!” The memories burned into my brain gave me strength as I reversed the blade’s direction to make a second horizontal slice through the target made out of a section of thick tree trunk. My blade cut through it so swiftly that the top section which got severed didn’t move even a centimeter, but instead simply fell straight down into place so perfectly that it would be next to impossible for most people to even tell that there were two separate pieces. “Mom was killed in a one on one battle! The one who did it is too strong for even you to handle! Their partner is on his way here as we speak, and his energy is even bigger than the one who took mom out!” “I don’t care how strong they are! I can’t let them get away with—” “They’re after you, sis! Mom died trying to keep them from getting to you! If you let yourself get captured or killed, her death will have been in vain! You have to escape!” With a roundhouse kick too swift for the average person’s eyes to follow, my left foot sent the top piece of the trunk flying into one of the trees to my right, the impact causing the birds in that tree to fly away in terror. The tree itself cracked internally at the point of contact until the tree itself fell down into the courtyard, unable to support its own weight. Yui… I won’t let you end up like mom or the rest of our clan. I used the momentum of my kick to pivot on my other foot until I’d done a full rotation and once more stood facing what was left of my target. I jumped high into the air, easily eclipsing the height of the Takamachi clan’s two-floor complex until I could see the streets around it without any obstruction. As I began to descend, I swung the identical blade in my left hand downwards in a vertical arc with such force that I began to roll through the air like a swiftly spinning wheel of death. No matter what it takes… My left sword bisected the trunk cleanly in half from above so violently that both halves were forced backwards by the wind current that my overhead strike had generated. As my rotation came to a halt and my blade once again faced the sky, my feet landed in the spots where the two halves of my makeshift target were mere moments before, planted on either side of a gash in the earth beneath me created by the wind and my sword. No matter who I have to kill… I rushed forward, pivoting on the ground right as I got within striking distance of my next target: the tree in the center of the courtyard which towered over all of the trees along the perimeter. This tree was far thicker than all the others, to the point that cutting it down in a single slashing attack would be impossible. It struck me as quite the symbolic target, considering one of my opponents was strong enough to kill my mother, whom I’d never been able to defeat in a sparring match even once. No matter what kind of insurmountable obstacles stand in my way… As I spun around, my glossy black hair whipping around in the air and covering a lot of my gaze, I swung the sword in my right hand so close to the one in my left that my palms actually brushed against one another. My blade cut through a bit over a fourth of the trunk before me with ease. But before the gap my strike had created could even be narrowed a millimeter, my left sword passed through it fully extended and charged with electrical energy which increased my range and cutting power, slicing through the other half of the trunk of the tree as if it were butter. As the tree I’d kicked part of my last target into did, this one began to fall inwards. Within a few seconds, it would fall onto me and crush me under its weight. Given that the energy which flowed throughout my body enhanced my body’s durability, this wouldn’t even be enough to break my bones, but if I just let it fall onto me, it would take out a not insignificant portion of the Takamachi clan’s complex with it. And it was quite possible that there were people in my friend’s clan in that part who would get killed as a result. I swear I’ll save you… But before it even dipped to a seventy degree angle with the ground, the manifestation of my energy, will and hatred materialized around me, stopping the tree in its tracks with its massive hands that only I could see. My blackish violet Divine Avatar gripped the tree and set it right back on its stump with such precision and gentleness that it did not fall again once it let go and the astral body dematerialized. Even if the price for doing so is my life itself. I sheathed my swords in their scabbards at my waist before placing my hands on the tree at the place where I’d cut it in two. I sent a portion of my energy into the tree, using it to make the stump and severed trunk slowly connect themselves back together. As I did, I remembered what my little sister said to me right before I made my escape that night one week prior. “You’re more important than the entire rest of our clan! You need to survive, even if no one else does! You’re the only one of us who can’t be replaced, sis!” Once I finished repairing the tree, I lowered my hands, beginning to walk off towards the exit to get a drink before coming out to train again. As I did, I began to reply to the what my younger sister had said to me. “That’s just it, Yui… to me, you’re the one thing that can’t be replaced. That’s why I’ll do everything in my power to save you, even if it costs me my own life as a result.” Because to me, your life is far more precious than my own. That’s what being your big sister means… I have to protect you at all costs, even if it means putting myself at risk. I didn’t have much time left before it’d be too late. Sooner rather than later, I knew I needed to start looking into the people who took her… but I needed to make sure I could beat them first. So for the time being, all I could do was train… and try to master as much of my newly unlocked power as possible. Because I knew that if I just charged in as I was now, there’d be no way in hell I’d stand even a ghost of a chance. Fun fact: this is one of the only installments in the entire first story arc that will be written from Kiriko's perspective. Most scenes will be written from perspectives of either observers of fights or the ones who will lose the fights in the chapter. Anyway, not really much to say about this. If you're interested in learning about the eye powers in this AU and who will get each of them, I'll direct you to this Deviant Art Journal which explains them all in great detail, save for the one which is intentionally not revealed for major spoiler reasons. Also, for those who read my other story, Asuna's Descent into Diaperhood, be advised that it will not be abandoned, nor will its sequel be... although my EoS story is in fact dead for now at the very least. Other than that, there's not really a lot to go over. See you in chapter one!
  3. Yo, so it's finally time to get my version of EoS off the ground! I decided to be lazy and essentially just reuse a story chapter I wrote several months back instead of making something all new, for the simple reason that everything about the female Kirito that I wanted to change from Darksyn's version had already been incorporated on some level into that chapter and I just didn't feel like rewriting it all since this version isn't old enough to suck. So I just took the version from that and modified it to fit its new setting. This story as a whole will be my highly personalized version of the premise that Darksyn is using to write his version. My version of this story is probably going to be absolutely nothing like his version, but I thought it would be instructive to tell you all the main ways that it will differ aside from having a different story. First off, while Darksyn's and mine will both have yuri, the pairings will be different. Darksyn's will be Kiriko/Asuna, whereas mine will be a yuri harem centered around my own completely differently written Kiriko. Second, Darksyn's will have a wide variety of fetish content, both diapered and not, while mine will find a way to put literally every main female lead in diapers relatively quickly after they're introduced. Third, Darksyn's Kiriko will have a DEX/AGI build, while mine will have a STR/AGI hybrid build (also, mine is going to be a solo player who eventually becomes more overpowered than canon Kirito, but you probably won't think of her as a Sue by the time she is). Fourth and finally, the stat scaling for player and monster attributes will, as far as I can tell, be completely different (in my game, no player will start out with more than ten in any stat, and even getting above five in a stat at level one is rare). That's about it. There's not gonna be any fetish content for a few chapters, fair warning. I tend to prefer to take the time to make my readers care about the characters and the setting before delving into that stuff. The bathroom needs system will still be present in the story before the fetish content, however. With everything I wanted to say out of the way, read on! Era of Survival: Rise of the Empress Chapter One: A Little Project “Big sis, I'm going out for kendo practice!” The call came from the other side of my bedroom door. I had expected something like this – I'd heard the footsteps as the speaker approached my room loud and clear. I knew that my sister, Suguha, was probably waiting there for any response I could give. Even a simple, one-word reply would have been enough to satisfy her. Despite this, I didn't say a word or even make a sound. My feet, which I had been dragging from side to side across my stained wooden floor before she approached, had come to a complete halt. Consequently, my black leather computer chair stopped swiveling around, matching my complete stillness and silence to the letter. The door was locked, as it usually was when I was in my room, so she couldn't just come in whenever she felt like it. Her only way of checking on me was to come up to the door and listen for my voice or sounds of movement. And because she was even more painfully straightforward than I was, she didn't even think of not announcing her presence so obviously, so she called out each time, giving me every chance I needed to react like this. Knowing all of these things and taking full advantage of them, I remained as quiet and still as humanly possible in order to wait her out. I didn't want her to know I was even awake. And since it was Sunday, the idea that I could still be sleeping in was conceivable, even at such a late time as twelve-fifty in the afternoon. Eventually, my plan worked. After a grand total of ten seconds of waiting, she began speaking again. “I prepared lunch for you. It's in the fridge whenever you get hungry. In case you're asleep, I'll text you about it in a bit. I'll be hanging out with the club after practice, so I won't be back to log into that game you recommended until tonight. See you then, sis…” I listened to the sound of the footsteps walking away from my room with an ounce of guilt. It wasn't really my style to just give her the silent treatment like this. My reasons for avoiding my sister weren't even her fault – in fact, they had nothing to do with her at all. The only connection they had was that all of my anger, acrimony, and outright hatred was currently directed at her mother… In other words, my aunt. Suguha and I weren't really siblings, but I still thought of her as one because we were very close growing up. Her mother, on the other hand, could barely hide her resentment of me for most of my life, and I'd picked up on it before I was even toilet trained. By this point, I was pretty sure it was because I reminded her of her sister – my real mom – whom I knew was my grandfather's favorite child. A fact which I knew because the old geezer never shut up about it or how I was the spitting image of my mom. And due to a string of events at school over the past year, we were having a difference of opinions over our living arrangements. I wanted to move somewhere else, to basically run away from some people I'd accidentally alienated, I did admit, and well… she didn't like that idea. In all fairness, she had the stronger argument on her side, but the way she was handling the problem didn't exactly scream parental figure of the year. “I already bailed your sorry ass out of one school system, kid. I'm not doing it again for a reason that isn't even half as valid like this.” My current personal pick for the next cover model of Punchable Face Magazine actually said that right to my face just the night before. Was I supposed to thank her for doing what any sensible parent would have done in light of the circumstances? Even right after she blatantly told me my current problems weren't important enough to warrant similar actions? "Go to hell, Midori," I muttered under my breath, making sure to be quiet in case my sister was still in the house. What a joke. That jealous hussy just wanted to watch me suffer in a way that my real mom, who was dynamic, outgoing and didn't struggle to be social or keep her friends, never did. The only thing I seemed to inherit from my mother was her physique, from the well developed figure to the incredibly short height. My personality, intelligence and thought patterns? They basically came straight from my dad with no alterations, as much as I hated it most of the time. This was why I didn't want to talk to Suguha at the moment. I couldn't let it slip that I was fighting with her mom. Or even worse, let it slip that her mom was my aunt, and that we were actually cousins, which I had tactfully kept hidden from her for the past five years. So until my emotions cooled down a little, I had decided to hold off on speaking with my sister as much as possible. BZZ-BZZ This noise, coupled with a subtle shaking feeling coming from the inside pocket of my dark gray denim jacket, interrupted my thoughts to notify me that I'd received an email. A single buzz would have been a text, and three of them would have been an app notification, but the presence of only two, along with the current time, told me exactly what to expect. Rather than get out my phone, I swung my computer chair around to face my desk, where three large, high-resolution monitors, both blackened due to inactivity, stood next to each other in a way that made them look like the three obtusely angled sides of a trapezoid in a geometry problem. Under the desk, there was another surface, attached to the one above it with a sliding mechanism. It was currently rolled under the desk, hiding what I kept there. I slid it out, and a keyboard and computer mouse appeared over my bare frightfully pale legs, still kept slender yet toned from my kendo days and the regular indoor weight training routine I’d kept even after I quit the sport. Since I almost never went outside except to go home, to school, or to certain stores, my skin looked significantly closer to that of a white American than that of a Japanese girl. In fact, my own family members all had considerably darker skin than I did, and they weren't even super huge on outdoor exercise or outdoor activity in general. When boys around me at school thought I couldn't hear, many of them described it as a charm point… and coupled with the other such points they'd discuss, I usually had to fight back a shudder of revulsion and the urge to slap them across the face. Knowing my bizarrely and disproportionately high physical strength, I could very possibly snap their necks by accident if I actually went through with a slap like that. Shaking my head to clear it of such morbid thoughts, I shifted the mouse, and all three monitors lit up, showing three different screens. The cursor moved to the one on the far right, which showed my work email inbox. It had just updated to show the new mail I'd received. The sender was just the person I'd been expecting to hear from around this point. I clicked on it, and it popped up in a little miniature window on the side of the screen. Sender: Kayaba-Sensei Subject: A Quick Notification I trust that your copy of EoS came safely in the mail. I wanted to inform you that upon successfully logging in for the first time, your account will be that of a normal player. Your developer status has been suspended to make it fair on the other players. That was all it said. I'd been corresponding with him since shortly before summer vacation, and to date, he'd never sent a message longer than a mid-sized paragraph. He was very brief and to the point, always conveying everything he needed to and nothing more. The honorific I used to refer to him, sensei, was purely sarcastic. He was hands down the smartest person I'd ever met, but as much as I'd tried to learn from him about his craft, the man had never taught me a damn thing I didn't already know. Sometimes I got the distinct impression that he avoided telling me anything new just to screw with me, but he was more the serious type, so it didn't really add up. And besides, though he never directly taught me anything, he sure didn’t keep me from learning things on his own, like the programming language he literally invented from scratch for the game he’d just called EoS. Said game, the acronym of which stood for Era of Survival, was a little project he'd been working on for quite some time. It was an MMORPG, and the first of its kind on the particular hardware it used. Back around the time summer vacation was about to start, Kayaba scouted me as a beta tester. He found me through my blog, where I built and sold custom high end computers, often with modified operating systems to fit the recipient, and had quite the reputation for being one of the best and most reasonably priced in my field throughout all of Japan. I also did computer repairs and upgrades, reviewed new parts shortly after they came out, and gave advice to people looking to build one themselves, which only added to my popularity. Still, my reputation aside, it never really added up how he managed to find me. After all, I was a computer nerd, albeit a multifaceted and successful one, and he was a revolutionary quantum physicist who happened to have an interest in the gaming industry for reasons I never understood. Realistically speaking, our paths shouldn't have normally crossed. Yet he contacted me through my blog's dedicated email, asking to meet up, and after asking me a few really odd questions, he offered to let me take the last slot of EoS' closed beta, which would take place over summer vacation. As was probably obvious, I accepted, and he gave me a developer account to allow me to see all of the under-the-hood functions of the game. I also had a direct contact line to the programming staff in case I noticed anything that needed adjusting, which I had admittedly used a few times to iron out some particularly big problems I’d found. To be perfectly honest, I was glad that he had decided to take my developer account away. Considering I still vividly remembered everything I'd learned from it, suspending it wouldn't exactly remove my unfair advantage from a knowledge standpoint, but at the very least, I'd have an equal standing with the rest of the players. I didn't like being special in ways I could avoid it, so having a developer account had always bugged me during the test period. Deciding that by this point, there was no way that my sister was still in the house, I clicked the reply button, entered a new subject header, and began typing out my response. I kept it short and to the point, as in tone with that of the message he sent to me as I could muster. Subject: Too late for fairness Considering my memory is eidetic, the damage has kind of been done in terms of giving me an unfair advantage. But I'm still grateful for the gesture, since I'd like to appear as normal as possible, and having a purple "Dev" next to my player name wouldn't exactly make that easy. The game got here just fine, by the way. You did send it first class, after all. I've already got the cartridge in my Nerve Gear, which I set up for use again yesterday, so at this point, I'm just waiting for the hour to turn so I can play. After finishing, I hit send, and the message composition window disappeared. It occurred to me that most people in my shoes probably would have been total kiss-asses. However, it never really occurred to me to treat him as someone special, even if he most certainly was such. Because at the end of the day, whatever his reasoning was, he was the one who sought me out to play his game, not the other way around. So at the very least, this meant he held me in some regard from the start. I got his attention by doing what I normally did, so I never saw any reason to change my behavior. Finished with my correspondence for the moment, my eyes turned to the web page open on my far left monitor. It was a live countdown to EoS’ launch time, down to the thousandth of a second. It was telling me I had about six minutes to kill before the server went online – enough time to take care of the remaining preparations. First on the list, I shifted my gaze to the monitor in the middle, which had my blog’s front page loaded. I wanted to let my followers know I’d be playing the game all day, and therefore that I wouldn’t receive their emails until nighttime. I moved my mouse over to the text box which said “New Blog Entry Here,” then clicked on it and immediately began to type. Just a heads up to all followers and customers, both current and potential: I’ll be playing Era of Survival all day since it launches today, so all emails you send will be responded to after I log off late tonight. Thanks for your patience and understanding! And to those of you whom I convinced to get one of the hundred thousand first release EoS copies: I’ll see you in the game! I’ll be going by the same name I do on this blog for easy identification. And just a heads up: if even a single one of you fuckers steals my username’s normal spelling, you will be entitled to one brutal in game death a day, courtesy of yours truly! See you all online! My message to my followers complete, I quickly hit send and swiveled the chair around to face my room, takins survey of the task that lay before me. The floor wouldn't exactly count as spotless, but it was very well organized. Anything that took up space on the floor was properly packaged or put away – nothing was just lying around messily. However, when my eyes moved about a meter up, I found a completely different picture before me. In the center of the bedroom, I had three card tables set up. Not a single one of them had any spot with even ten centimeters of free space in any direction. Almost all of the surface area was taken up by ongoing projects – at least five half built computers stood out like mountainous islands among everything else strewn about the tables, each surrounded by an amalgam of parts that still needed to be physically installed. I probably didn't have time to finish any of them or make any room, so I turned to the right, coming face to face with my bed, the entrance to my room, and my dark violet walls that I got painted shortly after moving in. I had wanted to paint them black or dark gray, but my aunt vetoed both of those, telling me that having a room those colors would only make my depression worse, which she said would defeat the whole purpose of moving to a new house. So I settled for a very deep purple, since I'd been told all my life that my anomalous bluish gray eyes looked violet in the right lighting. My bedroom door was a bit atypical for a Japanese household, but not incredibly rare – rather than having a sliding door, I had a European-styled wooden door, with a bronze-colored metal knob that could lock from the inside. This was an absolute necessity from my standpoint, and it was honestly the reason we chose this house specifically – its doors locked and if they were locked, you couldn't just force them open. My queen-sized bed had a memory foam mattress that I didn't have when we bought the house. Instead, I bought it a few months later, as the first purchase I made in full with my own earnings from the computer business I'd started. However, at this point, one could not see the mattress directly, because of the presence of plain navy blue sheets, leopard skin-patterned blankets that I'd bought on a whim, and three fully built laptops that were currently situated on the bed. The two at the foot, which I kept there with no worries since my feet didn't even reach that far down even when I stretched out, were ones I'd built for the purpose of selling that I still needed to modify the operating systems of. The third laptop, currently charging on my extremely fluffy pillow, was what I currently used for running my blog from the bed when I didn’t want to get up, making purchases, and the occasional gaming session in bed. This was what needed to move – in order to play the game that was about to go online, I'd need to lie down in bed and make use of the pillow currently occupied by my portable computer. I stood up, walking over to my bed and grabbing my laptop with both hands. Setting it on the floor for the moment, I then turned to my large, whitish, oak wood nightstand, my eyes zeroing in on one particular device sitting next to the lamp. It was a streamlined helmet colored a dark blue, with an emerald green visor in front to cover one's eyes and a long, blue cord stretching out of the back end, the color of which matched the helmet. That cord was already plugged into the wall – I'd set it up the night before. I grabbed the helmet and set it on my pillow, the pillowcase of which matched the leopard print of my blanket. I made sure to be as careful as humanly possible when setting it down and moving the cord – if I somehow accidentally damaged it at this stage, I wouldn't be able to play EoS for days, possibly weeks. These things were sold out in stores all across the nation. After making sure everything was perfectly fine, I grabbed my laptop from the floor and set it in the spot on my nightstand where the helmet had once been, with notably less care than I'd used just before. That damn computer was durable as hell, so I didn't need to worry about it nearly as much. I cast another glance to the live countdown. Three minutes left before I could start playing. As much as I hated adding to the stereotype, I had to admit that the passage of time seemed excruciatingly slow now that I was paying close attention to it. I didn't want to be even a second late in logging in to make sure I got to use my username instead of some random troll, so I couldn't really leave my room, and there was nothing left to do inside it that wouldn't take more time than I had. With nothing left to do, I sat down on my bed, deciding to just get ready a few minutes early. I swung my bare legs onto the bed, absently noting that I'd gone the entire day so far without changing or putting on any clothes aside from my jacket, which was more of a comfort than anything else. I'd just kept wearing what I'd slept in, like usual – this time, a dark gray shirt and a set of black lace underwear that I'd received from an asshole family member as my fourteenth birthday present the month before. While the message of “get laid” that such a gift sent was irredeemably insensitive and somewhat cruel to me, I'd taken to wearing them anyway, because no matter how much I hated that idiot for giving them to me, they were certainly very comfortable, and they were also my favorite color. The fact that they were comfy was weird in and of itself, because they were lace, and therefore not supposed to be as comfortable as what I normally wore. I'd done a little researching shortly after receiving them and I'd found that the brand my family member had chosen was actually really high end, and that it typically made underwear with both fashion and comfort in mind. Knowing I'd probably just killed another thirty seconds, I made a grab for the helmet on my pillow. Turning it a little as it rose through the air, I gently slid it on my head, then shifted around a little on the bed before inevitably lying down. I didn't even bother getting under the covers – though winter was quickly approaching, I still didn't feel cold. Everyone in my family seemed to be remarkably temperature insensitive, to the point that changes in temperature that weren't at least five degrees would go completely unnoticed unless we constantly monitored the thermostat. As I lay there waiting, my eyes wandered around the visor of the helmet I wore. There were two displays, both very small, showing across the whole thing. Those displays would not be visible at all unless one was wearing the helmet – they appeared on the visor using the same technology that EoS ran on. It directly displayed the images to one's brain as pre-interpreted visual data, so there was no need for the displays to actually be on the visor. On the far right, in the upper corner, there was a battery icon. Mine indicated that it was both fully charged and plugged in, the latter detail being shown by a lightning bolt in the middle of the battery. Which made sense, considering it had been charging all night, and even before that, I hadn't used the thing since EoS’ beta, where I always kept it fully charged and ready for action. The other display, situated in the upper right corner, told the current time in text about the size of the battery icon. It only had hours and minutes, no seconds, and it was a twenty-four hour clock, rather than a twelve hour one. As I looked at it, the readout said 12:59. All this super slow-paced thinking had worked marvelously for killing time. Although how I actually managed the feat of slowing down my normally light speed thought processes was a bit of a mystery. I knew I could do it on command, but I'd never figured out how it worked. I had less than a minute to go. This was the most excited I'd felt in months – back in the beta, I'd been positively addicted to EoS, and I'd spent more time playing it than I did anything else, to the point that I'd forgone meals and sleep regularly to keep going. Even though I wouldn't be able to put the same amount of time into it now, during the school year and with my computer business not on hold, I still planned to play as much as possible for someone with my schedule. At long last, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting, the clock turned to 13:00. Filled with joy and anticipation, as soon as the numbers on the readout changed, I uttered a single phrase, just two English words. The words that, unbeknownst to me, would be the catalyst of an event that would change my life forever. “Link start!” Well, what do you think? Personally I'm of the thought that for an installment that was mostly written seven months ago, it holds up with my current stuff pretty decently. But you guys are the judge of that, not me! Be sure to let me know how I did. If you're one of the people who has also read the original version of this chapter over on FFN (I'm looking at you, Shirou), be sure to tell me if you think the changes to this version made it better or worse, too! I'm kind of on the fence about whether I want to continue using the story this first chapter came from as a base for the next chapter as well. See, I'd have to rework a lot more of the next chapter in order to make it work correctly, because the original version was set in a death game version of Gun Gale Online, and as such was futuristic rather than old-fashioned. It'd take almost as much effort to rework it as it would to simply write the next chapter from scratch... but if I went with using the existing chapter as a base, you'd get to see scenes from Klein's perspective. What do you think I should do? One way or another, I'll see you next time!
  4. I swear to god this was supposed to be a ripoff of that one Asuna story that had the terrible English that was posted a while back! But stuff happened in the writing process, and I ended up turning it into an entirely different story that had nothing to do with the work that inspired it. The prologue is a little short, but it's full of... action, so to speak. Not of the fetish variety, however - that'll start in chapter one. The general progression of fetish content will be betwetting -> daytime wetting -> diapers -> messing. Also, in case you missed the tag, Kirito is female in this and it's not set in the canon SAO world. The FemKirito is also going to have an original personality, but that'll just make her more interesting since normal Kirito is bland. Finally, and I shouldn't have to mention this on an anime site, but I will just in case: this scene will highlight the pressures of upper class Japanese society. It's gonna seem unfair and drastic by American standards, but trust me, this sort of stuff is relatively normal over there. Anyway, go ahead and read if none of that bothers you. Asuna’s Descent into Diaperhood Prologue: Fallout “Asuna. There’s a man I would like you to meet soon,” Yuuki Shouzou called out to his daughter from across the white clothed dinner table one chilly spring night. Even just from that, the youngest child of the Yuuki family already knew exactly what this would be about. The mere thought of it alone disgusted her to her very core, but she couldn’t make her inner revulsion or the reason for it known. So rather than showing her disdain, the chestnut-eyed girl kept her face perfectly neutral and pretended she was unaware of what he was trying to do. She looked up from her gold-painted porcelain plate of and made eye contact with him. She absently noted that he had yet to change out of his work suit and tie as she asked a simple, “Why?” His brown eyes widened at the question. It was clear that he hadn’t been expecting her to say anything other than an affirmative answer. But if he was doing what she knew he was doing, than she would sooner be disowned than to go along with it. Which, given the circumstances, could be entirely possible if her family found out the reason why she planned to refuse. “You’re already fifteen. You’re becoming a fine young woman,” he told her, his earlier surprise melting into a kind, proud smile. “You’re of the age where you need to start considering your future. It’s time to find you a suitable husband to spend your life with.” And there it is. Asuna had been right on the money. She had to strain herself greatly in order to keep her facial expression from showing her inner emotions, lest they make the truth clear. This “meeting with a man” would be an omiai – a meeting to set her up with a husband she’d never even met before. She didn’t want to get married at all, ever, for any reason. But the idea of getting married to a stranger was even worse! Her older brother sitting next to her at the table had warned her this would be coming soon a few days prior. In fact, he was the one who reassured her that she had the option to refuse. She hadn’t originally thought it would have made a difference, but he’d told her that her father wouldn’t force her if she didn’t want to. Her brother, Kouichirou, knew the reason why she didn’t want to, and so he gave her the strength to face this situation head on and advocate for herself. But that didn’t make it easy. She’d never gone against what her parents had suggested or instructed before this! It was absolutely terrifying… she looked over at her brown-haired older brother for support. He was already looking her way, smiling gently. He nodded his head, silently telling her to go ahead and say what she needed to say. It strengthened her resolve. She turned back to her father, took a deep breath, and uttered the phrase she’d been practicing in her bedroom mirror all weekend. “I have been considering my future, father… and marriage isn’t in it.” His smile quickly gave way as he dropped his jaw in shock. Even Asuna’s mother, whose expression always seemed dull and lifeless, did a double take at what she’d just heard. Her daughter had never even talked back to them, much less rejected any of the things they’d done for her. This was completely unprecedented. And Yuuki Kyouko was not about to let this matter go, not after she personally selected the husband from the finest doctors in the hospital they ran. “Excuse you?” Her daughter looked her dead in the eye, gulped, and then boldly said, “Judging by that reaction, I don’t think you misheard me. I will not get married, mother. Not this or any year.” Kyouko balked. The nerve! To think that her daughter actually had the brazen audacity to talk to her that way! She had heard enough. The female head of the Yuuki household would not tolerate being so blatantly disrespected by her own child! “How dare you? You have no right to say that to us!” she verbally exploded, slamming her hand down on the table and shaking all the tableware. “You are our daughter, and you will do as we say!” Her words and actions caused her chestnut-haired daughter to flinch back and gape in fear. It looked like she wouldn’t be offering any resistance whatsoever. Good, that meant that everything would soon be as it should once again— “Sorry to say this, mother, but it’s actually you who doesn’t have the right to say that to her,” her son retorted in his sister’s place, his steely expression not matching his jovial tone. “You see, there’s this thing in Japan called the age of consent. Ever heard of it? Once you reach a certain age, you are responsible for accepting or declining advances and marriage proposals. You know what that age is? Thirteen. And how old is Asuna? Fifteen. You have no authority here. You can’t force her.” When he said the ages, his voice was laced with pure contempt like Kyouko had never heard from him in his entire life. He’d never addressed anyone with even a trace of disrespect before this as far as she knew. And then when he said the last sentence, he did it in a singsong voice, almost as if he were gloating about it. Both of her children were rebelling at once over the exact same issue. And to compound her misery, as her son had oh so helpfully pointed out, she didn’t have the legal authority to do anything about it. But what she could do… “This house has no place for a daughter who will not respect their parents’ wishes!” she shot back, her voice blazing with rage. “If she won’t do as we have instructed, she will have to find another place to live and another school to go to, because we certainly won’t be paying her tuition!” There, it was done. Now Asuna would have no choice but to back down, and— oh. Oh, no. When Kyouko looked back at her daughter, she no longer saw the face of someone terrified of the consequences of her actions. She saw the face of someone resolved in her convictions. The Yuuki sister spoke in a calm, measured tone, with words that cut like a katana. “I would sooner leave this family than sign away my happiness to someone I don’t love. My heart has no place for a mother who does not respect my wishes, and I will not miss you when I’m gone.” In the span of one conversation, everything fell apart at once. Her words stung, even more so because her own husband had chosen to stay silent – he hadn’t even tried to defend her. She had been disrespected by her own son and utterly rejected by her daughter, and he didn’t so much as scold either of them. It was as if he cared about the children more than he did about her… damn it! “Fine. You have until midnight to pack your belongings and leave. I don’t care where you go, you will not be welcome here anymore.” After saying her piece, Kyouko stood up and made for the exit. As she walked away, her son called out to her. But not to apologize or ask her to reconsider, nothing of the sort. What he decided to say was far less eloquent than that. “Fuck you too, mom! You can forget about me taking over the hospital, you’ve just shown me it’s not worth the effort!” he shouted despite her still being in the room. And to add the ultimate insult to the most painful of injuries, the first thing her husband said, rather than a scolding for her son, was this: “Asuna, I’ll find you a nice place to stay until everyone’s emotions have cooled down. But this divide will take time to heal. I’m sorry that I can’t do more for you.” It took everything the female head of house had not to break down crying as she left the room. It seemed that not a single person in her family was on her side. Gotta say, I'm actually pleased with my execution of this scene. Yeah, I wrote a shitty thing happening, but I liked the writing itself. Aaaaaaanyway, I need to sleep. Please leave a comment telling me what you thought, and I'll catch you later!
