  1. Great recommendations! Did she tell which diaper she wore on the plane and if she ended up using them? Flying during peak Covid must have been crazy. One of the worst places you could be with an infected was in those small airplane bathrooms. A lot of people must have been wearing diapers, especially those in the higher risk group, or living with or visiting someone with high risk. It was a scenario where peeing yourself was worth it for a lot of people. I wonder how much better we could have limited the spread of Covid if the airplane companies handed out free diapers and enforced a no-bathroom-policy. They could even have made some money by having an option to upgrade to 1st class diapers 😉
  2. The thought of a woman being stuck without a bathroom and resorts to use a diaper is so exciting to me. Pee issues or not, more people should do that! I hope not the diaper leaking puts her off from joining the next fishing trip. I assume there will be more 😉
  3. A bit disappointing it wasn't in a club bathroom.
  4. Alcohol is numbing muscles, including the muscles holding in urine. If she already had bad muscle control down there, alcohol is certainly not helping. But even with bad control you still feel the desperation gradually coming. If she didn't show any desperation beforehand it sounds more like a case of urge incontinence. This is when you can suddenly get a strong urge to go. She could have felt the sudden urge, noticed that the bathroom was too far away, clenched for her dear life, and lost the fight.
  5. That's some mighty rumbling. Almost sounds like an iceberg calving.
  6. That's a lot of waistband! Awesome.
  7. I have a waterproof mattress protector with an absorbent layer on top. On top of that I lay down a disposable bed pad (size around 1m x 1m) in the middle of the bed to avoid the wetness to pool up and spread out too much. Over that, a normal bed sheet. The pillow I use also have a waterproof protector, and I use my old, stainy duvet. Afterwards I throw the duvet coder, bed sheet and mattress protector in the washing machine. The duvet I just hang to dry. The disposable bed pad goes of course in the garbage.
  8. It definitely helped that you were so casual about it, and it sounded like she didn't hate it. If she ever did find herself in a similar situation in the future, from then on she knew peeing her snowpants was a valid option, maybe even the best option. I would say it's fairly possible she did it more 😀 Glad you're out there spreading the love and warmth!
  9. Some random thoughts: Sounds fun! You're brave. I probably wouldn't tell the travel mates, unless they notice and ask about it. Then you should have a good answer ready. If I understood correctly, 5 booster pads = 5 nights? And you plan to use two diapers each day? Megamaxes are a good choice of diapers. They do have strong tapes though, which means they make a sharp sound when ripping them off. Where do you plan to change and dispose of the diaper afterwards? I associate festivals with porta potties. Is that the only private space you got on the whole festival site? Looking forward to your updates.
  10. Thanks for the subs! I thought the "walk of shame" was because she didn't made it. Not sure what she meant then.
  11. Well, she did the most logical thing for someone that would have utilized diapers for the trip. Bringing with her the box to hide the diaper bag in, bringing the box back again, keeping the flaps down when carry it in, and declining help to avoid someone peeking inside the box. This certainly didn't weakened our theory. Could still be many other things. Would also be logical to bring many boxes to carry stuff in... Anyway, if she just returned from the trip she might have been wearing one there and then. I assume she didn't have a very noticeable diaper butt, or else you would have told us 😛, but did she wear anything strategically smart to hide any obvious unnatural shapes?
  12. How big was the box, like in how many diaper bags could fit in it? You could look into that online medical supply store to see if you find something else it could be that fits the volume and weight of the box. Does the parent company own other stores? But if it's a pharmacy company, what else could it even be? 20 towels? 10,000 face masks? Wait a minute, do all big boxes from pharmacies contain diapers? Do all delivery guys know?! 😮
  13. My experience with Megamax vs Betterdry: Megamax is much softer inside than Betterdry. Both have a similar soft plastic outside. Megamax is larger in sizing (I use both in Medium) the waistband goes higher up and the tapes are landing closer together for me. I feel I get a snugger fit around the legs with Betterdry (probably Megamaxes larger size makes it more difficult for me). Both have really good tapes (among the best). Megamax has a landing zone and you can readjust the tapes a couple of times before it goes bad. Betterdry doesn't have a landing zone, but a "second-try" tape that you can refasten one time (like Abena M4). Both swell up a lot when wet. Betterdry has better wicking, if I remember correctly. Both are good, but I prefer Megamax because the softness and comfort is more important for me.
  14. The video you uploaded contains the filename Quell-Topofthestairs.mp4. (Quell with two Ls)
  15. The capacity listed is from a laboratory test called the Rothwell method or ISO 11948–1. It's done by soaking the whole diaper to get the capacity. In real life you would typically wet it from one point only, and other factors are more important like how good the liquid spreads and how tight the diaper is put on around the legs. It will leak way before the capacity is met anyway, unless you plan to wet in some hardcore yoga positions 😛 I have tried both Megamax and Trest, and while Trest was bulkier and more absorbent, Megamax had way better tapes (probably the best tapes I have ever tried). The problem I had with Trest is that after a while the tapes started failing. If I plan to wear for an extended period of time the tapes are important, especially to feel secure in public. Note: Trest has improved their tapes. I have not tried the new version.
