Whelp, girlfriend is ghosting me, seems to have muted me, and I have no idea why. I already deal with enough depression as it is. I'll be off the grid for a while. Sorry to those who read my stories, but I won't be posting anything for a while. Hope you can forgive me by the time I get back. Sorry, and goodbye.

Almost finished with the nap script. Fixed the crash, fixed the turnscript trigger, all that's left is adding the mid-napping events (read: bedwetting, (wet) dreams, etc.). Then I can go ahead and release (ahh...) the demo!
Need to think of more dreams, though.

Sometimes, you just need to put 7 or 8 geology puns into the game. Other times, you need to commission an artist for character art. Speaking of the latter, the first piece is done! (Big thanks to artist Gemiinii!) In other news, I'm nearly at the point where I'm feeling more comfortable about releasing the demo. Look for that soon!
In the meantime, here's a preview of the first character! (What do you think? Should I commission more from this artist?)

Don't mind me- just putting some thoughts in writing.
When I started making this game, my goal was just to make Sunny Paws Day Care, except with adults instead of children, because it made me uncomfortable to have underaged characters in a game that you're meant to play with one hand. But after thinking about SPDC from a game design perspective, and having had a chance to look at its guts (read: code), I think I can one-up it by making... just a really good game, you know?
The problem is, since the setting and many of the mechanics are very similar to the original game, I'm concerned that people are going to think it's a 'knock-off.' Which it's not, really. I've been determined from the start to make the game better in nearly every conceivable way while also putting in tons of polished, original content of my own., WITHOUT falling victim to overwhelming feature creep like Diaper Quest did (in my opinion, at least).
Having been working on the game for a little over a month now, I'm really excited about the progress. I've coded all the mechanics, including hunger/thirst, bladder/bowels, the battle system, the battle encounter system, arousal ("Excitement"), and I've built more than 2/3 of the planned map. The first 10% of the game is completely built (a seemingly low number which speaks more to the game's scope than anything else).
    Q. What's the difference between the game I'm making and the 'source material', i.e., the setting of Sunny Days (Adult) Day Care (which is largely taken from Sunny Paws Day Care)?
    A. I really liked the setting of SPDC. The day care, the outside, the basement and the mechanics of the dungeon were all great. I wasn't happy with the fact that the game involved age regression, because I felt that while it opened up avenues to appeal to the "AB" of "AB/DL," it precluded any kind of sexual activity, or even (for the most part) DL activity involving anyone but your character (being fetish material, after all).
My game aims to be different. As of now, I have just finished writing the first NPC in its entirety. Gabriella has multiple wetting/messing scenes and two different sex scenes (or four, if you include differences in dialogue based on players' genitalia), and shows satisfaction from the wearing and use of diapers as well as other things, which I won't reveal (spoilers!). She's a woman in her early 20s with brown hair, wearing a brown bear kigurumi (onesie). In SPDC, her room contains a baby skunk eating Cheerios. I like my version better!
That said, this game is being built from the ground up by yours truly. I'm not using any of the functions, scripts, or structures from SPDC. I don't even have SPDC on my computer anymore, because I like my game better. And it's not even half finished yet.
Still looking for artists to commission, though. I really want to make character portraits that appear when you "look at" the NPCs. Hell, I might even go the extra mile here, and commission an artist for the sex scenes!
