Great movie with an outstanding performance from the main actress. I wouldn't be surprised if she did. Either way, superb performance. I'm not an specialist, but I don't think a healthy person could vonluntarely hold until their bladder bursts. The sphincter would just give up and leak long before the bladder could suffer any real damage. Only experiencing some kind of blockage on the urethra or other medical condition could lead to urinary retention. But, even then, on a very severe case, it appears one would more likely suffer kidney damage before having their bladder ruptured. As far as I know, the only thing that can really cause bladder rupture is trauma, most commonly in occurences of pelvic fracture. That said, I think he said it metaphoricaly - or maybe he really believed that one can hold until their bladder bursts. On the other hand, I think he really hoped she would rather jump of the bridge than endure the shame of wetting herself (and I think it is a pretty safe bet she did briefly contemplate that in a scene where she looks down to the river below). Not really, but, as you said, the uniform may mask it. On the other hand, if the actress was actually holding her bladder during the filming maybe she wasn't that full. All in all, a brilliant movie, thank you for bringing it up! Additionally, I wonder how many views of that movie were from people with an omorashi fetish...

From what I understood about the case report and about atonic bladder in general, people who suffers from it do go to the bathroom, but have a residual volume left in ther bladder after going, i.e., they don't fully empty their bladders when passing urine. This man have been suffering from it for a long time so my guess is this residual volume has increased over time.

It is worth noting that her bladder probably expanded over the course of years to be able to acomodate such volume. The literature reports cases of even larger volumes due to urinary retention, like this man (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23671504/) who had 6 liters in his bladder. He suffers from atonic bladder, i.e., his bladder muscles can't contract properly, but had not reported any urinary discomfort - in fact he went to the hospital due to other problems and then they discovered that the bulge on his abdomen was due to the overfilled bladder. That said, it is highly unlikely that a healthy individual would experience anything like this. So, as long you take the usual cares, like proper hygiene and correct fluid intake, to avoid UTIs, which can occur even in healthy individuals, I think you can enjoy your holding habits without any major concerns, @LizJWetting. And to answer the OP my maxmum is around 850~900 ml.

That's a great way to start the day 😊 You woke up with a quite a full bladder, didn't you?

Unfortunately, I'm unable to fall asleep with anything more than a moderately full bladder, so if I wake in the middle of the night needing to pee I have to get up and pee, or else I won't be able to get back to sleep. On the other hand, if I'm in the mood, I certainly can enjoy being desperate and choose to endure the fullness in order to postpone leaving the comfort of my bed.
