It's an odd start for me. I was born and partly raised in a state where hardly any guns were around. Then my family moved to the Midwest (USA) when I was a young teen. Kids had BB Guns and wrist-sling shots. We went on hunting trips, or just hit the woods up to shoot at stuff. I have more fun with a bow. Do I own one? No, I don't carry anything. Not even a knife. Never owned a gun. Never had to, as more often than not, an acquaintance would have at least one. I like to walk at night on the streets. Go to the gas station. Things like that. I've been on foot more than actually having a car. I'm not a big man, nor am I a trained fighter. I'm just not afraid, and my instincts have carried me this far. I also don't have a wife and kids. So, I'm coming from that perspective. I don't think guns are necessary unless you either: (A.) Hunt and/or (B.) Have some things that are worth setting security for.
