Thank you everyone for the encouragement. 🙂

I have to work double shifts for the foreseeable future, I'm at work from 6:30am to 11pm with a short break for lunch and a longer 2-3 hour break between shifts.

    3. xixi

Oh my, that is harsh. Have you been able to at least get enough sleep at night, finishing working hours that late and starting over so early next morning?

      Hang in there!

    4. moiamigo

look after yourself (easily said!)  Hope you're OK!

  2. Between 1-2% of adults wet the bed on at least a weekly basis, with about a 4:3 ratio of males to females. (Yeung et al 2004) I don't think anyone's ever done an epidemiological study on this kink though lol.
  3. I can't think of any reason she might have brought her own diaper to wear other than bedwetting or kink. Some of my friends would sometimes wear Depends pullups on their periods if they had a heavy flow, but they definitely wouldn't use a tape-up diaper for that purpose.
  4. My diaper leaked last night and I woke up with wet sheets. 😞

Oh ok. Did you feel yourself peeing when you did? Or didn't you know?

    3. TheIrreverend

I didn't notice I was peeing, but I was having a nightmare before I woke up.

    4. Random94

Oh I see. Do you get nightmares a lot? Also, do you wear diapers for that exact reason? Or because you like going in them?

  5. I would totally be nervous as she was if I were in her place, I'm afraid to flood even a quite absorbent (and thick!) premium pullup and she was most likely wearing a much lighter type. I'm glad she didn't suffer the embarrassment of leaking! I did see a similar event happen with a woman with a young child, she was waiting for the toilet in a cafe to open up and after waiting for several minutes gave up and sat back down. When she left the cafe a little later (without ever using the toilet), I noticed wetness on the back of her jeans where the edges of a pullup would be. She must have bee
  6. I forgot in my other post to mention this is me!
  7. It turns out it does affect sleep quality even if the bedwetter sleeps through their accident. Bedwetters who wear diapers have nearly the same sleep quality as people who are dry at night, though. 1-s2.0-S1389945713002165-main.pdf
  8. I can't do the ultrasound device paper right now because I'm at home and Elsevier is being weird, but here's the other one. I hope you like it as much as I did! neveus-1999.pdf Also, it may take a while because I have to crop out the footers with my university email on every page.
  9. I have a university library card and I'm not afraid to use it, so here are some more studies! Nevéus, T., Stenberg, A., Läckgren, G., Tuvemo, T., & Hetta, J. (1999). Sleep of children with enuresis: a polysomnographic study. Pediatrics, 103(6), 1193-1197. This study involved performing sleep studies on children suffering from bedwetting. The first wettings happened during all stages of non-REM sleep (the deeper sleep stages) and throughout the night from 10 minutes (!) after falling asleep to 7 hours 56 minutes. Also, interestingly, the bedwetters who had some response to de
  10. I've actually done some research on this, and it's partially to do with the underlying cause of the bedwetting. https://doi.org/10.1016/S0022-5347(01)68062-5 This was a very small study, but the researchers found five distinct patters of bedwetting. 1. " normal daytime urodynamics with significant bladder instability at night with normal volume voiding precipitated by unstable detrusor contractions" These patients had normal daytime bladder control, but completely emptied their bladders at night when their need got bad enough after holding until their bladders were full,
  11. This definitely happened to me when I first started wearing real diapers at night instead of pullups, I started having more frequent wet nights and wetting more heavily. When I was 15-16 I wet 3-4 times in a week and rarely leaked from a pullup, and now I wet almost every night. If I wore a pullup to bed now, I'd certainly overflow it. Some of that might be because of growth, but I think also that knowing subconsciously that I can wet and not face the discomfort of a wet bed means my brain lets go much more easily when I sleep.
  12. Stayed (mostly) dry through another end of day meeting that took forever. 🙂

  13. My end of day meeting ran over by more than an hour, I couldn't hold it and wet my diaper with a full bladder. I'd already wet it before then, but thankfully nothing leaked, though I was worried someone might have heard!  I could kiss whoever invented booster pads. 💋 😂

    1. DiminishingReturns

This just in: I will humbly accept the honor; yes it was me. I invented booster pads.

  14. Abena M4 diapers are widely available and very absorbent, they're what I've used at night for years. Since you're in Europe, you really have a much better selection of diapers than in the US, but Tena Slip and Seni are also good.
  15. They're really not good for more than the smallest wetting, but the night defense underwear is better than the normal ones.
