  1. The issue is that it brings an ancient thread back to the top of the category and bumps a newer, active one to the next page. Furthermore, a post this old likely contains participants that have moved on or are inactive, and as such it's not likely to be contributed to meaningfully. Speaking of which, thanking is kind but contributes nothing constructive. You mean well, but it causes issues, especially as a widely accepted practice. As such, it is generally frowned upon on pretty much any forum online.

    No.

What I mean is I wonder if being negative 1 from the people reading the comments if that will affect that I might have to posts more posts, and comments that will have to be approved before I get to level 2, or should it be the same number of posts, and comments I need to post before I can get to level 2?

Will being negative 1 make it so I need more posts to get to level 2 than if I was neutral, or in the positives, or should that not affect the number of more posts I need to post to reach number 2?

As I said earlier, reputation does not affect your ability to post.

    Ok.

    Thank you for telling me.

    I see I got on my www.omorashi.com account a negative 1.

Do you know if that will affect how many posts, and comments I need to post in order to get to level 2 on my www.omorashi.com account, or should it not affect it?

    Hello,

Reputation (the number on your profile) is a general opinion of your character and behavior as determined by users of the site. It will change as users vote up or vote down your posts and does not affect your ability to post on the site.

  4. Hi omfglol,

Approval of posts requires one of our 3 volunteer moderators to go through the queue. Approval will typically never be immediate, but we get to it as quickly as we can.

Regarding your reputation, we generally do not interfere with it unless the feature has been abused (downvoting official announcements, upvoting posts that break the rules, etc.) as it is generally a user-driven consensus of opinion on the poster. That said, there is plenty of hope for your reputation to improve even though it is negative. Make good, meaningful contributions to the community and be aware of your audience and you'll get upvotes in no time.

Happy new year, and I wish you the best. I've given you two free upvotes as a thank you for being civil and for taking a short while to approve your posts to get you started.

Glad freedom of speech is alive and well.

Remember, whenever anyone uses "freedom of speech" as an argument it means the only counter to criticism they can come up with is "Well, I can't be sent to jail for saying it, so there."

Also your freedom of speech was not even threatened privately, you did not receive a warning and this thread is still open despite your history, the low quality of the post, and it being in the wrong section. Hush.

    Yes that three things.

No, No, and you verify your age on registration under penalty of perjury. If you lie about your age, you are permanently blocked from accessing the site.

Makoto is welcome to override me on this one but I see a storm already forming on the horizon so I'm locking this unless he wishes to chime in.

  7. The general downward trend in stock at the moment is Tariff/Trade War fears causing investor lack of confidence and uncertainty.

Tumblr has already been grouped into Oath, where they keep unwanted internet and technology properties like AOL. Blame Verizon for Tumblr's downfall.

See my story in wetting experiences for some background.

Has anyone ever heard of pepper spray, mace, or other similar compounds causing people to pee themselves? Are there any specific “wetting chemicals” anyone knows of?

    Your questions concern me.

As someone who has pepper sprayed a few people in her career, no. Remember, spraying anyone with anything against their will and not in defense of an imminent or active attack is "Gassing," which is a felonious assault.

Pepper spray is also *excruciatingly* painful.

    Don't.

  9. Omorashi.org is hosted in the United States, where the legal age of consent is 18. Because that's where the physical infrastructure for the server is hosted, that's where the laws apply. There are also laws against a United States citizen hosting sites elsewhere to avoid US age of consent laws.

The age of consent will not be lowered primarily because of this, but also because of the moral and safety implications of allowing minors onto the site. Simply put, there is too much risk, and it is against the law.

the way i see it is if one site blocks someone they'll just find another site and just continue. the only way to get them to stop even for a short while is for the law officials to get involved etc...

Not our scope. Our job is to keep omoorg safe, and we're accomplishing that just fine. We (I, anyway) don't have the time, funds, or interest contacting the authorities unless it's feasible, in the US, and we have reason to believe an actual person is in imminent danger.

Which is to say, if you ever encounter those conditions on the site, contact us *immediately.*

I believe that was a quip by one of our moderating team when she said she was leaving and never ever coming back due to "censorship" of her data gathering of underage girls.

Yep, I set their member title. At the time they were creepy but borderline; now they're permanently moderated and if they try this nonsense again I'll remove them permanently.

and i hope this time moderators will actually set things right - change titles and tags, instead of just letting rant escalate and then threatening to give warnings to anyone who is pointing out an annoying problem that can be easily fixed in few seconds.

Nah, I'm just going to lock the thread and laugh at you.

Normally I'd issue warnings for all the penis = male bullshit but the OP literally identifies as male in their profile name, so. I just hope you realize that out of context you're hilariously wrong.

  13. Some users have PM notifications off if they do not wish to be messaged. I *believe* some users may decline to send read reports, but I may be mistaken. Overall, if you are not an introductory member or restricted, you should be able to send PM's as normal. You may elect to leave a message on their profile, but be aware these are public and are featured on the main page ticker; and are not to be used to solicit private contact through PM, email, IM, skype, etc.

I would move on in this specific case.
