Hey all! This is my first post here and I wanted to share what I found because I thought it might be interesting.
Lurking here before, I’ve found that rapid desperation challenges have been pretty popular lately. That got me wondering, what’s the fastest rate that someone’s kidneys could produce urine at? Google doesn’t tell you a clear answer, so I decided to test myself.
During a few of my recent rapid desperation holds, I decided to pee into a measuring cup right as I burst from desperation to see how much pee I was producing over a short time. The results are as follows:
1:37 Hold, 1046 mL Capacity, 647 mL/h Produced
1:26 Hold, 940 mL Capacity, 656 mL/h Produced
1:20 Hold, 1067mL Capacity, 800 mL/h Produced
1:48 Hold, 990 mL Capacity, 448 mL/h Produced
Averaging these holds out, I produced about 638 mL of pee every hour during my rapid desperation holds! That’s definitely a lot but I know I can do better 😉
It does rely a lot on how much water you’re drinking, but I’m wondering if there’s any differences in production rate based on sex, height, etc. If anyone reading this wants to beat my speed, let’s see you try! Don’t drink too much water though. Good luck!
