  1. I don't think Portnoy's Complaint is quite as good as Lolita, but in my opinion it's still worth reading for the writing style. I suggest getting it from the library rather than buying it. I imagine that you are quite a big reader. Am I correct? What other books are among your favourites? I mostly read the kind of books that make it into the Penguin Classics collection. I don't know whether I am just easy to please or whether earning the title of a classic really does signify a good book, but I enjoy almost all of them.
