Just found out that my family had to quarantine this morning for COVID
-
I had it twice, usually I got over it within a week or two, but sometimes you end up with "long haul" symptoms that might persist for a little while after you recover from the virus. I ended up with a really annoying persistent cough after the second time I got it back on Father's Day weekend, which finally went away a couple of weeks ago.

If I join the OmoOrg Discord, real life friends I have on Discord won’t know, will they? Or should I make a Discord profile JUST for omo purposes?

Hey everyone. I’m really sorry for not updating you all sooner. Four days before Jane was supposed to be discharged, she went into cardiac arrest. SHE IS ALIVE, thank fuck but it looked really bad until a couple of days ago. Apparently, some tiny fragments of shrapnel from the crash got embedded into her body deep into her body and didn’t show up on a scan, so it wasn’t detected until it started causing major internal bleeding. Honestly, I hope you never have to see any of your friends start bleeding through a hospital gown before collapsing. I won’t be forgetting that anytime soon.
Can’t give new date when she’ll be back anymore. Her condition is serious but stable. That is all I know. Sorry for updating late, I’ve been terrified the last few days and forget all about this.
Will let you know more when there’s further news.

Fuck...well, at least it looks like she might live. I hope that whoever that coward was that hit her has a sudden attack of conscience and turns themselves in, for their sake. I don't know how you respond to people that hurt your loved ones and run off like cowards, but if it were me, I'd advise them to turn themselves in before I have to find them myself. The justice system is far more forgiving of this sort of act than I am.

My younger brother walked in on me masturbating while on a call with my partner and I'm still embarrassed as hell. Poor kid looked utterly traumatized by the sight of me spread out on my bed with a "toy". It sucks that there isn't a lock on my door, but at least he knows to knock now.

We've all had this happen at some point, whether we were on the giving or receiving end of such "views".

Maybe this should go in my thread itself but does it make me sound unsympathetic and hypocritical the fact that I looked at my thread about worst jobs for women needing to pee and it seems like fewer women are in jobs involving bad bathroom situations, and I am kind of annoyed that more women aren't suffering terrible bladder pain, when I still complain about being in that situation myself?
-
Yeah...I mean, unless the other person likes it, and is holding it in voluntarily (I like to keep the actual application of fetishes consensual, because I know exactly what it’s like to be forced upon in such a manner, but fantasies are another matter entirely), but most of the time you don’t know if that’s the case. With that aforementioned teacher I only had some very subtle hints, and I’m not even close to certain that I’m correct in my assessment.

Well that also begs the question of how many women here willingly indulge in omorashi play at their workplace, even if they have a restroom regularly available? That sounds awfully risky due to the potential consequences of having an accident, as arousing as the exhibitionistic appeal might be to some of them.
There was actually a teacher I had in high school that I suspect may have had that fetish, but I could never confirm if that was it or if she just refused to use a restroom during class to avoid disrupting lessons, but the way she'd squirm once there was about fifteen minutes left in a given class period seemed to be from more than just pure desperation...didn't help that she couldn't have been any older than her late twenties at the time, she was pretty young to be teaching high school, and quite attractive besides. I had to make it clear to her that the reason I started sitting towards the back of the room wasn't out of any dislike of her (though I didn't say that it was actually because of the opposite problem).

Closer, yes, due to changes in building codes (at least in newly constructed and renovated facilities), but that doesn't always mean improvements in availability, especially if you work in certain specialties like Labor and Delivery (my mother's line of work); some women can take the better part of a day to go through labor (and they themselves pretty much always end up pissing because...well, the bladder's getting crushed by the baby on their way out), during which leaving their side to take a piss break isn't always an option; that's before you factor in things like C-Sections too.

Could just be that they're not self-reporting it as much. Two heavily female-dominated career fields where access to toilets is highly limited (and things like bladder and urinary tract infections, and accidents, tend to be very common relative to other career fields as a result of being made to hold it too long and too often) are teaching and nursing. I know we have some teachers on this site, not sure about nurses.

Have the feeling that all dystopian literary works are basically produced from the same model. The Handmaid's Tale basically feels like the female perspective of Orwell's 1984. Or is it just that I should read more (I haven't read Brave New World or Fahrenheit 451 yet).
-
It's a bit more nuanced than that as well, since it also depends on the author's own views. 1984's dystopia was a totalitarian socialist one (effectively a warning from George Orwell, himself a socialist to his dying day, to avoid becoming too authoritarian), The Handmaid's Tale presents a Christian theocratic dystopia through a female-centric lens. In the case of Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451, the best way to describe both of them would be technocratic dystopias, but in different ways; Brave New World's dystopia is founded on the principles of eugenics and what could best be described as luxury communism, whereas Fahrenheit 451's world is set in a world overrun by rampant materialism, basically the opposite of Brave New World (though it was really just Ray Bradbury's author filibuster against television).

Went swimming in a pool with the fam today and had to pee. Since I didn't feel like drying off and going inside, I just went behind a shed.
-
Wonder why you didn’t just piss in the pool? I guarantee you everybody that’s ever been in a pool’s done it, and anybody who claims they haven’t is a goddamned liar.
