I seem to be in the minority here, but when I'm in a public restroom I always pee "slower" and kind of lighter than usual. Instead of a full on stream I'm letting it trickle out with less force. It takes much longer and gets more difficult the more desperate I am to pee, but normally I'm wayy too paranoid to just let it flow freely.
