Hello peeple ! This is my first post ever here, as well as my first novel in english, and first novel on this topic either ! Here am I, kind of crawling out from the Dark Lurkwoods, first timer of yours ! It's been a while I've wanted to write a story by my own. Feel free to leave remarks and comments, as I guess my words and sentences definitely need some more polishing ! I still haven't entirely decided everything yet, meaning I accept suggestions if they suit me ! Well, without further ado, here is the story, hope you will enjoy it ! Invited to a summer university for a lecture to give, I decided to stay longer and enjoy some vacations : why not stay and explore a city I don’t know ? I was expected to speak the first day, and the stress began to raise a little as I entered the room and stepped in among the crowd. I only knew few people here, so I sat alone and tried to concentrate before the moment came. Everything was right during my speech, but when I came back from the stage to my sit, my head felt a bit dizzy, all I needed was only a couple of minutes to grasp my spirits. The conference resumed smoothly as the next person took the microphone and tried to convince the audience how fun it was to translate Athenian orators. I sighted and looked around me, still puzzled by the fact I actually managed to stand in front of all this audience without passing out. Almost everyone listened to the speaker. Almost. On my left side, a young woman was staring at me with aw. I suspiciously checked around me, but it was clear I was the only one she stared at, so I stared back and smile, noticing from the distance she seemed quite fair. She blushed a little, and we both pretended we were following the conference, while carefully peeping out at each other. When the pause was due, I walked toward her and engaged in some small talk, trying to know who she was and why she attended the summer university. Her name was Lucy, and I learned she was a 28 years old girl studying literature in the city’s university, and what I saw from the distance was definitely confirmed: she was a puzzling beauty. As we were talking, I couldn’t help but notice her long dark hair, her pale skin and her black little glasses, that only managed to highlight her brown green eyes. She probably was studying me all the same, as we both stopped talking at the same moment, looking at each other in silence. And so began our adventures. Lucy and I managed to catch up by the end of the day, and we agreed to meet in a bar a few hours later. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was, excited as I wandered around the city, unable to think about anything else than this promising and much unexpected date. We met in front of the pub, and quickly, after a cocktail (more were to follow) we told everything about ourselves, as if we’d known each other since childhood. This was a wonderful sensation, and the first time I felt I could say anything to someone that would fully understand what I was thinking, all my struggles and my doubts. At this time, I used to think of myself as someone smart, but in front of me Lucy was just brilliant, genuinely intelligent, the perfect alliance between beauty and genius. We talked about ourselves for a while, and then discussed about literature and poetry, what were our favourite books and so on. The drinks were taking their tolls and I saw her folding and unfolding her legs, more frequently by any minute. This began to turn me on, as I was daydreaming of her wetting herself right on the spot, but she broke the spell and quicly chose a lull in our conversation. I followed her with my eyes and my thoughts, wishing I could be there in the wetting place, seeing with envy the strange way she was walking in her need to go. I was left a little while to my fantasies. When she came back, I noticed that something changed with her, and I couldn’t really tell what. She seemed to move with some caution, her hair was undone and her chicks were all red. I did not think about it that much, because our talks resumed and I had a lot to focus on. We had a great time together, and we agreed to meet again the day after. I watched her slowly go away, there definitely was something odd about the way she walked, taking little and precautious steps, as if …I shook my head to clear my thoughts and fantasies, but couldn’t help to think about it : I knew it would be a rough night waiting to see her. We spent the next day sitting together in the auditorium, sharing our thoughts and questions about the various subjects that were discussed. As the afternoon was free, she proposed me to explore an abandoned salt mine near the city. She told me she used to go there as a child, and that it’s been ages she went there. We took a bus, and an hour later we were standing together in front of the concrete square, surrounded by excited children on the loose, carefully shepherded by hopeless adults. Lucy and I shared a meaningful sight, and proceeded to walk through the hot pavement before the mine’s entrance, each step depleting us little by little from the water we were losing. Once inside, we took a moment to drink and wipe the sweat falling down our heads. The mine itself was like a salt-maze, dark and moist, its walls echoing from all the conversations the careless visitors revealed, but still, this inferno’s antechamber tasted like heaven after the heavy heat we sustained on the outside, and the rich scent of salt sharpened our senses. We roamed and roamed the wet galleries for a while, until we found a spiral staircase, which seemed to reach the centre of the Earth. Bellow, the view was nothing like I was expecting, it reminded me the stories of Jules Verne’s Journey to the centre of the Earth : the cavern was huge enough to host a lake sprinkled with small boats, some shops, and an illuminated big wheel. “This is even better than what I remembered ! I’m so excited !” said Lucy with a vibrant voice as we were climbing down the last steps, “let’s stroll around a little and see what’s to do !”. I felt that my bladder was beginning to tingle, but at this point it was quite manageable, so we bought some food and began our amazing tour in the cavern. I thought that doing some exercise would help me hold a bit longer, so I proposed Lucy to rent a boat, and we went on for a ride. The sound of water should have calmed me but instead, it was all too reminding that I really needed to go now, and I began to grin in discomfort. -“What’s the matter, asked she gently. You’re not feeling well ? - I’m ok, it’s just that I need to go, and being surrounded by all this water doesn’t help me much. - Oh, I understand very well, she replied in a blush. All right then, so let’s end our tour quickly and find the place.” I was quite relieved when we gave the boat back, only to cross another brutal step towards despair when I saw the endless queue in front of the toilets. “Ok, it seems I have no choice but to hold it”, I tried to say this normaly but I was truly shaking on the inside. She gave me an empathetic smile, and we continued to stroll, finishing our visit in front of the big wheel. It took all my mental concentration to restrain the infamous pee dance and hold myself in desperation, but what else could I do with Lucy just near me ? - “Let’s go there, it would be so nice to see the view from the top ! Or do you want to go back ?” Of course I wanted to go back, I was on the verge of completely wetting myself, but instead, I decided to smile painfully and follow her. She gave me her hand and all of a sudden I stepped in another realm, where my bladder wasn’t begging to explode right away. Anyway, there was no one to be seen and we took the opportunity to enter a small cabin. The wheel slowly began to roll up, and despite Lucy holding my hand and chatting with me, the vibrations dramatically destroyed the state of grace I was so briefly in. -“Lucy, said I desperately, I am so sorry, but I think I’m gonna… - Let it go, she said, whispering in my ears like the Garden’s snake, don’t worry it’ll be quick. She was squizing my hand firmly. - Wait what ? No, I can’t, not here just in front of you ! - I wouldn’t care if you did.” She said this with a calm and soothing voice, and by the look in her eyes she meant it. The wheel stopped with our cabin at the top, allowing us to enjoy the vue, but this caught me off guard and it was enough to let a violent stream escape a few seconds, producing the all too certain hissing sound and darkening the front of my jeans.
