In primary school the few times I remember it happening was when students were playing and didn't get to the bathroom in time. In kindergarten there was a girl that would sometimes wet herself for no reason. Teachers refusing permission to the point of accidents happening wouldn't be acceptable. In middle school there was one time a guy needed to go to the bathroom a lot, and the teacher joked that it would be the first time he had a student wet himself. It was close to the end of class so it wasn't a problem though. We even had an unwritten rule that girls could just walk out if they unexpectedly got their period. For bathroom breaks they would still be expected to ask.

I know this is fiction, but realistically a lot of people would have known the secret. Someone has to wash the sheets, and the room would have smelled after frequently wetting the bed without modern protection. That raises the question: how does a wealthy person practice this fetish. Would pretending that it's involuntary work? Could be the premise for another story 🙂

They can absorb a lot of pee but they will feel damp on the outside almost immediately (which also means that you have to rinse them quite a bit with water before washing). Unlike a diaper, pee will flow down your legs. They are not very stretchy so it's kind of hard to take them off.

I'm from a Mediterranean country and in my experience even in primary school accidents were rare, and it's hard for me to imagine it happening in middle or high school. I don't know for sure, but I don't think bedwetting is that common either. Based on experiences shared on this forum and popular culture, I got the impression that this is more common in North America for example. I thought that this might have something to do with weather (cold weather makes you pee more). This article lists children bedwetting prevalence figures obtained by other studies and they vary a lot (less than 1 in 80 to more than 1 in 4), but there is no clear geographical correlation. What are your thoughts? Do you know of any studies that dug into this deeper?

Have you tried wetting yourself wearing a skirt or dress, outside? That way you can quickly change your underwear when you get home.

I think at that age it could be acceptable if you did it while drunk for example.
