To reiterate what has been posted there,

I recognize some people like to write and share content that is not sexual in nature to them and I respect your artistic freedom to write such things, but as this is an adult themed community and fetishism is the boards primary topic, I have to agree that this is not the best place for such works to be posted.

  2. See, you're not a fan of furry content either. Should I have created a dedicated category just for furry content too, just because you don't like it?

The fact of the matter is you're going to end up seeing some content you're not a fan of. There's a limit to what we can reasonably do to mitigate that, especially in a gallery platform. We can't make the site perfect so you only see what you like everywhere you go.

The front-page of the gallery will encompass an array of works of different themes. The activity feeds are there for people that prefer not to deal with that.

...ok so now when I go into the gallery, there's no way for me to avoid seeing the content I don't want to see, and no great way to only show the content I DO want to see. It just puts all the male and female content together into one jumbled mess of thumbnails, with no ways of filtering it. I don't see how this is an improvement over the last system. A huge downgrade in viewer usability for a small upgrade in creator organization.

    1. The previous system was not good for this either, especially considering there wasn't even a male/female subcategory for doujinshi/comics, which constitutes roughly half the gallery.

    2. An extremely small percentage of the gallery is male content, and the gallery is almost entirely softcore content to begin with. I don't think it's a big deal having to scan through some softcore male omo in the gallery every now and then. Really. Open the Artist CG category and tell me what you find there that is just so bad you can't bear to see it in your face at all.

    3. If you want a feed of content curated only to your interests, that's what the activity feed is for.

For example, it took me a whole 30 seconds to make a gallery feed for only female tagged content:

    4. I do plan to implement support for tag filtering in the future. This upgrade is to set the foundation for that. For now, I don't think the current changes are going to kill you.

Regarding the downvote power: According to the chart in the Welcome section, this means that the only people who can downvote a post are those who manage to get a whopping 375 upvotes? That sounds unnecessarily restricting. It would make more sense to allow at the very least Established Members, or even just Active members. Getting 75 upvotes (especially if you aren't a content creator) could take quite awhile, and I think those that do probably understand well enough what types of posts are unfit for the site.

EDIT: And as a side note to this, I just checked my own profile and it says I'm an Established Member, despite my reputation score being a mere 92? Are the numbers in the welcome section sticky no longer accurate?

After some consideration, I have decided to grant Established Members access to negative reputation as well.

But this will be the minimum requirement, no other groups will be given access (even if it is widely requested). Active Members will not be granted access to negative reputation.

In regards to your edit, these changes are not retroactive. If you were an Established or Contributory Member before the changes, you will retain that status unless the privileges are abused (in which case accounts will be manually downgraded after a warning is issued).

And a nitpick re: the reputation changes.  Shouldn't it be Contributory and above, since you've now added the Respected tier above Contributory?

Ah, it is, sorry. I just copied that from a post I made before Respected Members were added.

Both Contributory and Respected Members can give negative reputation.

Hey apparently I can only send 0 messages per day, which leaves my communication prospects slightly limited XD But I have a video or two that I could submit. ^_^

You can submit an application here (just select the Seller / Advertisers department)

Curious, how does the site define an "active member"?  And how many total [including non-active, banned, etc.] accounts have been created?

Active means registered and validated; members that register but do not validate their e-mail address within 7 days are removed. Accounts which are disabled via deactivation or permanently banned are also not considered active.

As of today, the total number of registrations is 129,778.

Not sure why the diaper section needed to be moved into a private members' group? The post volume has gone down dramatically since that happened.

It's not a private group, it's open. Anyone can join it without any need for approval.

This post explains the purpose of groups and why they were created.

Does that mean the stuff I've written in the profile text fields is gone forever?  Would I have to re-write it all if I re-activated my account?

Nope! The system should retain all your profile information off-site, so if you ever reactivate your account it (should) be restored automatically.

Avatars are an exception to this currently, you'll have to re-upload your avatar; but other profile information should be restored on reactivation.

  8. Whether you mean to be or not, you were behaving in a rude and condescending manner.

I don't care whether or not you are mad or worked up, that has no relevance to any of my comments here. You were being argumentative and non-constructive, and you are continuing to be so.

I am not going to continue explaining to you why I have not publicly criticized other members here, this is an argument that you incited and continued to fuel to begin with.

If you wish to discuss this matter further, please submit a support ticket. This is not a discussion that needs to be continued in the comments of another members Fiction submission.

  9. You can't act like a condescending jerk and not expect to have members rebuke you for such behavior. Justice's comments towards you were justified. Comments are public. You can't say "he had no business in this argument", you are commenting on a public story, anyone can chime in on anything posted here.

You are the only one here behaving in a manner that deserves scolding. I suggest you take some time to cool your head and then come back here and re-read the entire discussion. Hopefully you're just having a bad day and you're not really as unreasonable of a person as you are making yourself out to be here today.

This is the last time I am going to ask you to stop the rude and argumentative comments however. Your last comment, "that was sarcasm, in case you didn't get it", is what I mean when I say you are coming off as a complete condescending jerk, and that kind of childish behavior is completely unnecessary.

  10. Writerforce, your comments here have largely just been condescending and argumentative, not constructive.

This is fiction. It does not have to be completely scientifically accurate to begin with, and you don't really have any right to say the author has to write in accordance with the scientific theories on time travel you support. It's a silly subject to get so heated over to begin with.

You've more than made your point here, so let's not continue this argument any further.
