ElizabethScott 42
Have any other users with a uterus and ovaries had to undergo these? Those ultrasounds that require you to have a very full bladder? I had my first one ever yesterday. At the time it was not fun AT ALL, but what is fun, is telling the story now, So to start, in case anyone was wondering, I had to get the UTS because I get intense period pains and my doctor wanted to do some tests- I won't know the results in detail until my next appointment, but according to the lady who was pressing on my bladder (I actually don't know if she was a doctor- I'm unsure of the official medical titles these people have), there didn't appear to be anything hugely worrying going on, so right off the bat, I'm not dying or seriously sick, rest assured. So, to start, I had to follow these rules: Empty my bladder at 11:30 am Drink a litre of water within the next half an hour Hold in my pee until after my UTS at 1 pm So I was going alright until about 12:30 when I could feel all that water quickly catching up to me. I got to the clinic I was sent to by my doctor at about 12:45, where I was told to fill out some forms, but of course, having to pee quite a lot by this point, it was hard to focus- I actually messed up one of them and had to redo it. Still though, I did manage to fill out the forms, all correctly, just before 1, and it was soon after then that I was called in. The lady doing the UTS was nice- she kept praising me for holding onto all that water, and I'm just here like, "if only you knew this was my fetish..." She got me to lay down, which, even with my legs slightly elevated, added a lot of pressure to my poor bladder. At this point it was probably about 1:10 and I was rather desperate- however not to the point of freaking out that I was going to wet myself- I just wanted it to hurry up and be done so I could piss! I must add though, I don't usually freak out externally when I'm desperate to pee. I just stay very still and quite... Anyway, she lifted my shirt and, at her request, I unzipped my jeans and tugged them down a little so she could get to my pelvic region. She double checked my information with me, but, just my luck, there was a mistake with my birthday, so she had to leave for a minute to fix it. When she got back and we checked again, I noticed ANOTHER problem with my birthday- one I missed before because I was so taken aback by the first problem- so she left again to go and fix that. It was probably about 1:20 or so by the time we finally started the UTS. "Now for the hard part, you're gonna have to lay your legs completely flat for me now while we do this." the woman told me. She was nice, and very sympathetic to what I was going through. I did as she told, and boy, I certainly felt a difference! The pressure increased a lot. Still though, I remained calm and kept my cool, even if that just meant I was going into 'still and quiet' mode. The lady put that weird, warm gel on my tummy and started using the scanner- or whatever its called- to see inside my pelvic region. She had to press in pretty hard to see my ovaries, which, god I definitely felt in my bladder! She did comment on how full my bladder was, and continued to praise me for doing so well and holding everything in. I do enjoy praise, so I (admittedly through kind of pained groan) thanked her. Now, we were doing this from somewhere between five and ten minutes- my bladder aching by this point- but because she couldn't get a clear reading, she recommended doing a transvaginal scan. Apparently one of the forms I was filling out and not really concentrating on was a consent form to get that done. She did explain to me what it was and made sure I was willing to do it though of course. Basically, it involves getting the scan from the inside, by inserting a scanner into the vagina and kind of moving it around the cervix area. I was willing, but of course, I was nervous; I'd never had such an intrusive medical procedure done before; also I was just starting my period so there was a tiny bit of blood (side note: NOT looking forward to getting pap tests done!). I was assured everything was fine, and hence, decided to go through with it. Here's the kicker though! A transvaginal scan requires an EMPTY BLADDER! So the great thing here was that she directed me to the nearby bathroom where I could FINALLY pee after holding it for what felt life forever! But! The fact that we ended up using a different method than originally intended, meant that all that water chugging and piss holding was POINTLESS! And, let me tell you, relieved as I was to FINALLY let it out, it wasn't exactly smooth sailing. I know its a common thing with a lot of people, but its still SO annoying when it happens- I'm sure some of you will know how sometimes when you hold onto your pee for so long that you kind of have to push it out with a bit of force? Like, its gotten use to its home inside of you and it doesn't want to leave? Its like the water has some variation of Stockholm syndrome with its captor- i.e. your bladder. Argh! The good news is though, it DID feel good afterwards to finally have let it out of my body. So to continue, I went back into the exam room, where I had to take my pants off, and get a thing shoved inside me- pretending to be intimidated by the size, because it just seemed like the polite thing to do. It wasn't that bad overall, but it was certainly uncomfortable- physically and emotionally- and some of the places she pressed it into really freaking hurt! Now, I will tell you that about half way through doing this (it was probably about a 15 to 20 minute procedure) I DID find myself needing to pee again- because, you know, I may have just peed, but I DID have a lot of liquid in such a short amount of time, so naturally, the need to go again was going to build up quickly. I wasn't desperate, but I was feeling it growing quickly. The woman, much like before, did continue to mutter me praise at how well I was doing and how good I was to put up with everything, which was nice to hear in an otherwise very uncomfortable situation. After things were finally done, I was relieved to have it all finished and be able to leave. Even though I did have to pee, I decided to wait the few more minutes it took me to walk to the nearby shopping center, because it wasn't urgent. By the time I got there and into the public bathrooms, while it certainly wasn't comparable to my earlier need, I did have to go enough by this point that it was a relief, and unlike before, there was no struggle getting it, and the urgency was just enough, that peeing felt amazing! The stream just flowed on out with no issues 😅 I probably couldn't have even stopped it part way through if I tried. So yes, that was part of my day yesterday. It wasn't all that fun at the time, but I it is a fun thing to talk about now, the following day, when I'm not actually dealing with it anymore. Also, I'll be seeing my doctor late next week to discuss the UTS- it was her earliest available time slot 😁 but I don't think I have anything major to worry about, tennyson, Keita123, OmoL and 6 others 9 Quote Link to comment

HarryC 60
I went for a liver ultrasound and got sent instructions saying to fast from food, to drink plenty of water and not urinate for 2 hours or something before. When I arrived they were delayed so I had to sit with a full bladder for about 15 minutes. I remember looking around to see if anyone else was in the same predicament, but we all just looked a bit nervous. When I got called in I leaked a little bit as I stood up, pausing to hold myself for a second. It happened again in the room when the doctor put the gel on and started pressing into my bladder, but I managed to keep control after that. A few seconds in the doctor asked if I had been holding my pee. I started to blush, thinking frequently holding it on purpose had done something noticeable to my bladder. I told her I commuted and often had to hold it in for long train journeys but she said "No. I mean now. Do you need to urinate right now?" with a concerned look on her face. I don't think anyone had asked me that since I was a little kid, so I blushed even more and said "Yes, quite badly. I've had all that water." Thinking that maybe I wasn't supposed to be this desperate after two litres and two hours and she was concerned about my bladder size or something. Anyway, it turns out that I'd been sent the letter for a bladder and liver scan, not just liver, and had been holding it in for no apparent reason. She excused me and I quickly hobbled to the toilet and let out an incredible amount of pee, noticing that I had made a bit of a mess of my boxers, but somehow kept my trousers dry. I walked back relieved, the doctor apologised and said it happened all the time. Part of me wonders if some sadist with our fetish is sending the wrong letters on purpose, knowing that people will get desperate because of them! I really appreciate the open attitude you have; I know a lot of women who are often too ashamed to discuss things about their bodies that aren't conventionally 'sexy' because it makes the men in their lives feel uncomfortable (I'm sure the opposite is true for a lot of men as well). We as people tend to just not want to know about things that don't effect us personally, so its always nice when we can move past that and be open minded and willing to learn about each others journeys and struggles 😊 And thank you, I'm sure everything will be okay 🙂 Dynamic 1 Quote Link to comment
Dynamic 133
I think sharing uncomfortable experiences can be extremely valuable. It allows us to see each other as human, and it can also be reassuring to hear that other people are struggling with the same, or similar, things that we are. It also helps to appreciate the differences, and that insight can help us to be more considerate to each other as well. I admit that I'm a pretty shy person when it comes to discussing personal, especially physical, matters. It's a strange dichotomy, and perhaps a bit hypocritical, to enjoy reading about other people's experiences while being hesitant to share my own, but the good side of that is seeing other people put stuff out there is inspiring and chips away at my own reserved nature little by little. Only a small percentage of people who read something actually reply. I'm sure it helps a lot of those silent people as well. ElizabethScott 1 Quote Link to comment
gtg2468 401
Thank you for sharing your experience. As a women with bladder issues who also has two daughters with bladder issues we regularly have to go for sonograms which require full bladders and we know how intrusive and embarrassing they can be. I’ve also leaned not all sonogram techs are the same and their bedside manner varies. Just a week weeks ago my oldest daughter was getting one and the tech used ice cold gel which made her pee all over. Karly_cr and ElizabethScott 2 Quote Link to comment

I totally agree, and I don't think its hypocritical to be shy about your own problems- I'm actually the same way in my personal life- because its not like you're going around just expecting others to be open, but rather just appreciating it and seeing the merit in it; and I like that you're open to hearing about things you haven't experienced yourself instead of being willfully ignorant or worse, making assumptions 🙂 its a good trait for people to have Karly_cr 1 Quote Link to comment
