Pondera 127
I was thinking about this, ironically while playing Age of Empires II HD over christmas, and while we know the first instance of the tentacle fetish depicted in art in "The Dream of the Fisherman's wife" in 1814, I'm curious if there's anything like that for omorashi. How far back does our fetish go? Any of the historically minded have any information on this? Quote Link to comment
sorjello 43
this is maybe not quite omo but i have to recommend this book “pissing figures 1280-2014” by jean-claude lebensztejn. it’s not exactly omo though there are some examples in it that are about incontinence rather than just pissing: https://davidzwirnerbooks.com/product/pissing-figures-12802014 it’s an easy read though quite scholarly as well. pretty much read it in one sitting. themerger 1 Quote Link to comment
PPP 1,307
Well, there was this pot from Ancient Greece, but I'm not sure if it would qualify as "omorashi" seeing as it might not have been meant to be erotic. It probably is the first depiction of peeing in art, though. https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Hetaera_urinating_into_a_skyphos_at_a_Kylix_by_the_Foundry_Painter_Antikensammlung_Berlin.jpg Quote Link to comment
Weasel 1,097
If they took the trouble to put it on a pot (which is a somewhat elaborate process) they really wanted it for some reason. Quote Link to comment

Here's a review of that book, which seems to have a view of piss at odds with most modern attitudes: https://www.newyorker.com/books/page-turner/a-secret-history-of-the-pissing-figure-in-art Quote It’s as if life then were an endless party, a riot of fluids and fun where every jet, spurt, torrent, and dribble had its place and people were comfortable in their skins. Our forebears knew something that we don’t. They could laugh at what was holy to them. They could regard piss, through some parallax, as a symbol of both purity and Rabelaisian excess. This article has a slightly different take, focussing on the substance of urine rather than the act of peeing - https://www.artuk.org/discover/stories/a-wee-look-at-paintings-of-urine I also liked this one - https://printsofjapan.wordpress.com/2009/06/29/urine-and-the-arts-小便-技芸/ Though in terms of the earliest probably the Hetaera urinating into the Skyphos has it!
