Yeah, Tumblr is definitely flagging all omo, peeing, wetting, and diaper content — except for basically written erotica. It sucks because so many people including myself settled in and made a nice corner of the community there. So they're scattering to different places, and I did my part and advertised this place to whoever of my followers care to see. I'm going to keep using it past the 17th, but with the lack of new NSFW material, it's just going to stagnate for the purposes I use it.

How did I go the past 3 years without following you? Haha

I have no idea, I've been at it a while. Though I've not posted much of my own content, which may be why you haven't run into me...

There's also, you know, OmoOrg, which still gets 300,000± visitors and millions of pageviews a month

Any chance you would share the script?   Also here's the manual process to save Tumblr vids, with a protip on getting the largest possible video resolution. This is for Firefox but most brow

I very rarely feel compelled to actually post on any of the ABDL-related sites with which I have accounts, but this topic is just one of those things I can't ignore. What Tumblr is doing right now is just so far beyond ridiculous it's hard to fathom what they expect to happen. They have to realize that an incredibly large proportion of their userbase exists for the sole purpose of browsing and spreading adult content. This would be akin to a site like Facebook outright removing the ability to post or share links that lead off-site. What's more, this is an issue of Tumblr's own making. This whole ordeal is their fault, brought on by their own mismanagement of their website. Sure, the people who post illegal material(i.e. child pornography) are the ones who actively broke laws, rules and such, but here's the thing: Tumblr helped them do it. Tumblr actively participated in the sharing of illicit images by way of their poor web-design. When an image was actually reported(more on that later), investigated and finally deleted, Tumblr actively suggested SIMILAR CONTENT to the people trying to view it. Read that again, if you're having trouble comprehending it: When Tumblr actually deleted child pornography, they tried to make it up to the person trying to view it by suggesting OTHER child pornography.

This all comes, of course, only after Tumblr made it exceptionally difficult and awkward to actually report the images in the first place. Has anyone actually tried to report an image on Tumblr before? You know what you have to do to report an image on Tumblr? Click 'Share.' That's right, you have to click 'Share' in order to report it. Sure, you end up reporting it instead of actually sharing it, but who comes across something as viscerally abhorrent as child pornography and goes, "Huh, there's no report button. Better share it instead, so everyone knows what kind of disgusting stuff this is!"

Now, as I mentioned, I very, very rarely feel compelled to actually weigh in on the various problems that affect our small little corner of the internet, but that does not mean that I am unaffected by these things. Normally, I just sit back and weather whatever issue it is that our community is facing, but this time around, I just can't. On the 17th of this month, once the ban on mature content goes into effect, I am actively deleting my Tumblr, which exists for the sole purpose of linking and spreading ABDL content, and I urge anyone and everyone to do the same. Leave now, and let Tumblr burn. They've brought it on themselves, now let them know it.

I used tumblr for fet content, but also followed dozens of non-fet blogs showcasing art, geology, history, etc. and I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard. I feel bad for all those blogs because they're about to lose a lot of followers because of a decision they had nothing to do with.

I've uninstalled the tumblr app from all my devices and have no desire to return. Businesses that make bad decisions deserve to suffer the consequences.

The seem to be a little unsure about omo content. Yesterday morning nearly all of my stuff was flagged, today it's only about half of it. But anyway, I'm not going to waste any time posting stuff there anymore.

Their guidelines say " female-presenting nipples" (sic!) are banned, but nothing about male nipples. I couldn't help myself posting this and request the flagging to be checked:

This is super upsetting. I hope people migrate here instead of just Twitter and Instagram. So many good content creators are at a loss cause this is such a mess

I think a lot of the reason this is unlikely is because so many of the content creators on Tumblr don't actually enjoy the subjects of the content they create. Sure, there are a few artists, writers, actors/actresses that actually seem to share the kinks for which they produce their goods, but many are just trying to make a name for themselves and make some money off of it as well, regardless of who their patrons are. Folks such as this aren't likely to flock to a website built around one kink/fetish or another, but will likely seek a platform from which they can peddle their skill set to a broader audience. Who knows where they will go, but there's no denying that this will hurt a lot of artists, who have attracted a lot of business doing mature art for a living.

Some people on Tumblr are saying they're not going to migrate at all, but will just leave the Omorashi community entirely if Tumblr censors their content and/or their blog is removed, which to me really makes no sense.

Obviously I hope they'll change their minds about leaving the Omorashi community entirely, but so far it's really not looking good. ?

Most censorship is not generally a good thing, but it's especially bad when performed by robots.  Tumblr personnel aren't reviewing every post to judge its suitability - they have a computer algorithm which will throw out some perfectly innocent posts and let some really obscene stuff slip through.  Other sites have done this and have ultimately gone out of business.

Regarding the comment on nipples, in all fairness, that's a mainstream double standard through out most of the developed world, as exemplified by the fact that its perfectly acceptable for men, regardless of physique, to go topless at public pools and on public beaches while a bikini that shows more than a bit of cleavage on a woman is deemed daring if not scandalous, within the exact same context.

Developed world doesn't exist.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Tumblr going forward.  I've read reporting claiming that anywhere from 8 to 40% of Tumblr's traffic is based in adult content.  Regardless of the exact numbers, this is going to be a significant change for a lot of people.  I can't help but look at my own Tumblr, see the amount of reblogs some of my posts are getting, and feel sad for all those followers who aren't going to have that access to my content any longer.

I imagine that part of the reason Tumblr might be doing this has to do with making money.  Everyone is talking about how popular Tumblr is and how this move away from adult content is going to be so harmful to them.  The thing that seems to be left out of this conversation is that popularity doesn't necessarily translate into revenue.  Tumblr is not, and has not been profitable. I doubt Yahoo cares too much about how many users they have or not if they aren't making money.  Yahoo has yet to report any revenue from Tumblr, which I'm sure must be frustrating considering how much they spent to acquire it.  Adult content can be an obstacle to monetization for many content businesses.

I agree, it seems extremely risky to alienate so much of one's audience, but Yahoo may figure it is worth the risk.  And this wouldn't be the first time I thought a company making a move like this was ill-conceived only to be proven wrong.  In the early days of Youtube it was primarily used for adult content.  You could even choose if you wanted male or female videos, select ages of the performers in the videos, and other browsing tools that are more common today on adult tube sites.  Youtube was able to successfully pivot to become a mainstream video platform, and become profitable as a result, even though it meant alienating a good portion of their early users.

To be clear, I am not saying I agree with the direction Tumblr is going at all.  I just can understand why, from a business perspective, they might be trying it.

Really? I thought it was owned by Yahoo.

Verizon owns the company that owns Yahoo, which also owns tumblr.

The SCARY thing many people don't realize, all the media in the US... print, TV, radio and internet, is being consolidated into a smaller and smaller group of hands. REMEMBER,  perception defines reality. Control how people see the world and you control the world.

There needs to be some serious trust busting in the US, but that's not going to happen.

I use Tumblr to checks both porn and non porn or fetish related blogs so I'll keep using it for non fetish related content.  The one blog I used to visit was the yellow safe but ever since they became more poop and scat related I stopped visiting.

Hey, my blog is The Yellow Safe! Sorry about all of the poop-related content. It's a big part of my fetish, so I tend to gravitate toward it.

I've been kind of off and on with Tumblr over the last few years, but I recently got back into it and... they do this. Whatever happens and wherever I'm posting, I'll be sure to mix in more wetting-related content. I actually just started a Patreon, so I will make sure to think of some stories that feature just wetting.

I believe stories are not being targeted but I don't know if the sites will remain without videos and pics or if they will delete all sites that are porn related.

Yeah, most of my stories haven't been flagged, but it won't be the same since I won't be able to post videos and pictures from my collection. I'm hoping an alternative will emerge, but I haven't seen anything that piques my interest just yet.
