They don't  You can check out any time you'd like But you can never leave O___O

1) Difficulty of creating a community. I've been around the desperation forums for nearly two dozen years and not posted extensively at any point. I don't feel like I have much in common with you g

A lot of people probably come here while they're single, and then get in a relationship. A lot of people probably come here, love it, and then get bored, only to never come back. This is similar

2) Variations on a fetish.

Some people don't like diapers. Some don't like nude peeing. Some don't like anime. Some don't like posed videos. Sometimes, it feels like hard work having to dig through the forum to find the particular thing that hits your button. And sometimes, perhaps a lot of the time, the other stuff is an active turn-OFF.

This is an important one. I don't have a problem with anime art per se, but the vast majority of it here looks underage, is drawn by someone with a poor grasp of anatomy who's obviously never had sex, or, often, both. I'm not sure why the site has such a focus on anime content in general, since having a piss fetish has nothing to do with liking anime. I do suspect, though, that being a virgin who thinks roleplaying on a forum is the height of human sexual experience does correlate strongly with liking anime, and this site just happens to have a lot of that portion of that section of society, who also happen to be into omorashi.

I remember someone said that "omorashi culture" (which isn't a thing, outside a genre of porn, and is equally prevalent in non-Japanese porn like Wet Set Magazine) was a "nerd" thing, which is ridiculous - Chuck Berry infamously filmed women using the toilet in a restaurant he owned and pissed on a woman in a sex tape, and he was the furthest thing from a nerd. Having a piss fetish has nothing to do with Japan, or anime, or being a nerd, or anything else other than just having a fetish. That's all it is.

Well said, @BB1BBB. Those are all great points. To add on to issue #2, the search function and the tags are really helpful, but you still have to go digging for quality. It's work!

As to #3, as a writer here, I try not to be too intimidated by KozmoFox's and etoile's and TVGuy's enormous popularity. I just try to do my own thing, knowing I'm not going to hit the big time like they have. But it's not always easy to look at posts that get a hundred upvotes and then go over to my latest story and say, "Yay, I got four..."

I wonder if we could organize a "Rookie of the Year" contest around here to promote some folks who make great contributions but haven't caught people's attention so much. Just as a way to balance the regulars on the leaderboard.

I come and go. I’ll post a little bit and then vanish for weeks or months at a time. It’s a combination of the purging cycle and other personal issues of both being overwhelmed by my mental illnesses and life events that occur that drastically alter my personal state.

Sometimes I’ll lurk and other times I just poof into obscurity.

Good points from everyone really. I used to be a very regular visitor here, wrote some stories, posted videos etc, and then I slowly ebbed away from it. I still check back every so often, but ‘real life’ often gets in the way these days.

I think another factor is probably social media - when I first discovered this place, social media wasn’t the massive thing it is now. There are now huge communities on Twitter, Tumbler etc (I’m still very active on Twitter.) I guess people discover this as well, and it’s a much easier format to chat with people on.

I think it's a mix of things but the one that personally drives me away is that (imo) it's hard to ever truely get accepted on this site unless you're a content provider. Whether that means real life stories, fan fiction, videos, pictures, etc. I think since people come here as a way to find like-minded people to confide in, and end up never feeling fully accepted unless they are a content provider.

But also some people come here to open up and find it harder than they thought. At least that's how I felt at first.

And then there's people that come here strictly for the content and get bored eventually.

Just my thoughts though.

I think I understand what you’re saying. It’s hard to be taken seriously when you generally lack content, and contributing can be really hard. For me, (sorry I take so long) I get a nice story idea, I start to write it, but then life gets in the way and I generally lose motivation to continue writing. There’s a ton of distractions in life that we would “rather be doing” than writing a story we feel is kinda “meh”. To sum it up, writing is hard.

My suggestion of where to start would probably be in the role playing area. There are multiple people working on the same story that everyone involved gets to develop together! I recommend starting in a smaller rp group of like 2 people, so it’s less confusing. But RPing takes dedication, because it basically forces you to be active.

Yeah. And the vibe I've a;ways got when just reading the site before I started attempting to be a real part of it is that females get the larger benefit here. This is a site people come to for pictures, videos, and stories. If you uploading or sharing your wetting stories then you may as well not exist. And unfortunately it seems like it can be even harder if you're a dude.

Its hard to find lots of male wetting since thats the main thing i am into, other than that its all girls posting photos or videos or stories of fictional characters from shows i either hate or have never heard of so its hard to enjoy every aspect of it, plus when drama rolls onto the site somewhere in a forum it makes you wanna back off of it for a while

Yeah I can find a fair bit of great male wetting on youtube and not so much here. Another problem is sadly it seems youtube likes to take that down as well, allot of great videos have disappeared over the years and that was before I really started posting here, maybe I should start posting what I can find here and see if I can get people to make downloadable file versions of the videos.

Idk. Personally, I found my way here by looking stories or something like that. The reason I stayed was community. I felt good when I found out that there are at least somehow similar people than me and that I belong somewhere. I don't actually visit here to get off, it's more socializing than anything else.

I left the site for a moment tho. At first it had nothing to do with the site itself, my personal life just decided to collapse and I was hospitalized. I couldn't use the site there since my phone also broke while being there and I hadn't laptop/ipad or anything. I felt bad because I kinda fell off from my irl community and from my internet community also. I came back but it didn't feel the same. I had kinda lost the connection or something and slowly I just started to visit less and less until I never opened the site anymore. I thought it some times but never logged in. I wondered if anyone had been missing me or thinking where did I go or remembered that I ever was here. I thought that I wasn't that important so I kept it that way, never logging in. I missed being here and some occurrences in my recent life led me logging in again.

the main reason I am here and have a gold sub. now is because I want to get in contact with others (preferably girls aged 18-25) and chat with them about our fetish and lives.

sadly a lot of people are not into chatting with others or are just too shy (trust grows when it is given).

I guess most people here are just here to read the stories and jack off on it.
or are just here cus they don't dare to share their fetish with their significant other so they read and tell about it here anonymously.

bout the gold sub, the mods having to agree on EVERY SINGLE thing I post, which takes for ages... and not being able to send someone a message annoyed me so much that i spent money on it...

if you feel insulted by what I said, please don't be. I don't mean it harsh but seriously, go have a chat with your SO. he/she will accept it if he/she really loves you.

This goes a bit off topic now but it's not that simple. I've told about this to my SO and he still loves me yeah but it's a thing we actually never bring up. I can't share this with him and even if he was willing to do it just for me, it wouldn't be the same since I know it's not his thing. I can't enjoy anything I know the other one doesn't enjoy. It's not problem tho because I can enjoy other things too and just keep this side of me in my personal and private life. Not feeling insulted but everything isn't always so black and white.

I still agree you with talking about it with partner. Also, never knows, they might share the secret...

I wanted to respond to this because this is part of the reason I've come back to this community, as well as to omorashi communities in the general sense. I'm generally not a huge fan of some of the most popular content on this site (at least the stuff that is the most popular nowadays; it was far different at the inception of this site); for this reason, I feel a bit of a call to arms to support and contribute to under valued content--I.E. many of the things I like to see. I may not get as many rep points or comments, but I know there are people out there with nuanced desires who are enjoying themselves because of my contributions, and that is a good feeling.

This site actually started off dedicated specifically to anime, or at least made specifically for people who are into it. I believe this paradigm changed due to how many people were being excluded or off-put by this standard (like you mentioned), but it started off oriented around Real Experiences, Fanfiction, and the Gallery, two of which were all anime at the time. Diapers, furries, scat, even videos--all that came later.

As to why it has remained somewhat oriented around anime is likely to fit a gap that few or no other sites meet. A lot of chronic users of internet porn like their 2D women lol

I definitely agree with your last sentence. A lot of people seem to use this site as a substitute for a sex life, as opposed to complementing it, as I imagined people would do. Hence you get a lot of "asexuals" (I put it like that because I doubt anyone genuinely asexual would be here) and sad virgins who settle for 2D women because that's all they think they can get. It's inevitable for a site like this, but it does make it all feel a little dismal if you're just an otherwise normal man who happens to like watching women piss their skirts.

I don't even mind the anime content per se, other than that it's mostly horribly underage and often has pretty poor anatomy. I was looking in the gallery for art of adult office ladies, police women, and other women in sexy uniforms/business suits having accidents, and I barely found any. The vast, vast majority was underage schoolgirls, and it creeped me out. I generally prefer live action omorashi videos because they look like sexy adult women.

a lot of people here are depressed, confused and very sensitive. some come here in some confidence, then for some reason start feeling guilty, offended, paranoid by something and just bail.  that's how (young) people are nowadays in general - unreliable and escaping from everything, even if it's fun and harmelss. that's why strong intimate relationships are rare in modern society.

the results are typically guys who are desperate for female contact go insane and nag everything that resembles a female, which then get paranoid (with the help of rape-culture bullshit brainwashing that makes women see men all men like rapists) and disappear.

exactly. it feels like people here are afraid of any real intimate contact and satisfy themselves with fiction. it's sad, because a site like this could be a LOT more than just mutual fantasizing - it has a potential for soulmates to find each other (which i'm positive majority of people here wish for, realizing it or not). sadly, everyone seems to avoid that, probably for reasons i stated above.

nothing would bring me more joy than hearing a story of two lovers finding each other on this site, making real contact and being together, just for fun or forming a bond, staying together. it would give people hope and courage.

I originally came here back in 2012 or so looking for a relationship, which was a not the thing to do here. I mostly lurk explore the various content and only post on things that I can really contribute to and not be a "post count upper/spammer". I'm an amateur writer and artist seeing to improve and actually make something I'd be proud of, so I figured that would be my best fit for generating content here, but like many posts in this thread explain perfectly, this site takes a backseat to real life.

Maybe my original purpose to being here will be fulfilled one day, but probably not directly through this site. This is not the place for that-- don't come here expecting that when you are new. That's my advice.

For how I'm into omo and what subsets of the fetish actually work for me, its quite the variety, so a lot of the content here is very is appealing. Its not very clear cut and dry (hah dry!). I do have other places I can get such content though so there's that too.

I wouldn't take people here as representative of all society. People here are disproportionately maladjusted losers.
