Why do you think people stop coming here?

Recommended Posts

I was search some erotic search term here and scrolled over the name of a poster or two wondering who they were - and you can see that Last Time Visited. Some came here for a few years (say, 2013 to 2016) and then stopped.  I wondered why. I guess people just get tired of a particular "channel," forum, site...and it just gets moved out or pushed out of their daily rotation..then weekly, monthly rotation...then finally forgotten.

They don't  You can check out any time you'd like But you can never leave O___O

1) Difficulty of creating a community. I've been around the desperation forums for nearly two dozen years and not posted extensively at any point. I don't feel like I have much in common with you g

A lot of people probably come here while they're single, and then get in a relationship. A lot of people probably come here, love it, and then get bored, only to never come back. This is similar

I think that's pretty much it.

People go through binge and purge cycles with this fetish, I'd say fairly commonly based on anecdotal evidence. Like the range of sites I frequent nowadays is a little different from the lineup I would have gone for 5 years ago. Even for this site, I might go through waves of posting and contributing, but I usually keep a tab with omo.org open.

A lot of people probably come here, love it, and then get bored, only to never come back. This is similar to the way it is in MMO's. Some people keep coming back. Other play it once or twice and then quit.

Others probably get bored in terms of the content. I know I can be a bit picky about what I like, and sometimes it's difficult to find good content.

Some people might just go silent. May not have a need to log in. Or maybe make other accounts for personal reasons.

Some people dabble in the fetish, some people have the fetish, and other people are the fetish. If you just dabble, you might avoid these sorts of websites.

And finally, some people get tired of porn. Believe it or not lol

Sometimes life gets in the way. Adjusting to a radically different , but better work schedule has kept me off this site for several days.

As some have said they stop when they get into a relationship.

Some people get board with the same  old thing  ( not me !)

And some people find another site more precisely tuned to their specific tastes. I searched the internet for years looking for what aroused me most. I used to be a regular on Pee Search, but I rarely visit now. Five and a half years ago I found this site, and it is a perfect fit. I love it here; I can't imagine a better place.I am going nowhere.

In my case, I have left this site two different times and then returned after a long hiatus. Both times, it was because I lost the motivation to continue the fictional stories I had been working on, combined with becoming too busy in my daily life and losing interest in omo altogether. These three things combined were enough for me to lose interest and move on to something else for a while, but every time I have come back, it was because I would remember my dead stories and think that I might like to take another swing at finishing them. I imagine these reasons have a lot to do with why other people leave as well, but as others have said, starting a new relationship could also be a reason.

Since coming back in April of this year, I feel like I've been more motivated to keep the stories going than before. I think this is partly because I've discovered how much fun writing interactive stories can be, but also because I'm more engaged in the community than I had previously been. I get more enjoyment out of being here when I'm encouraging other writers to keep their stories going, or to try something new, if that is where their interest lies.

Will I leave again in the future? It's possible, but I can't say when or for what reason that might be. Any number of unforeseen circumstances could arise, which could keep me away. Among them are events that we would prefer not to think about, such as those involving personal injuries or death caused by unexpected accidents or sudden illness. With that being said, every time an active member leaves the site, but does not come back for years, I always hope that they are okay and that their reason for leaving was a personal choice.

There was a period of time (like 3 months I think) when I just up and left without saying anything because I had gotten bored of the site, so I always assumed that was the most common reason for people to leave.

Another possible reason that some people leave, is that they have a very bad experience on the site that really sours the experience for them, and they decide to take a break, during this break they end up forgetting about the site and thus, n e v e r  log back in. The reason that I think this might happen is that I've almost done this twice during the earlier days of my account.

I notice a lot of them seem to disappear without a trace. Though one person I'm talking to is still on here

Although I am not feeling inclined to write any more stories about it for this site or fimfiction. I just kept assuming that someone else will love my fantasies as much as I do, but they're really nothing special, and any that are worth anything to people with the fetishes, I've already done enough times. I'll keep my fantasies to myself from now on, like a Rarishy omo idea I've had in my mind for a while, or alternate versions of scenes that, while not confirming wettings, are perfect fuel for omo fantasies. (Plus I'm getting a little more fetish-shy about my fantasies even under my fetish profile)

Not really feeling bad about my fetishes, just not feeling like sharing my fantasies anymore. Besides, the show most of them are about isn't very popular among people into the wetting side of omo. There's just so few people who are into both, and one of them recently lost interest in omo entirely.

But, I'll stay on here to keep talking to others in the community and maybe hear some good stories, both fiction and experience

Mainly this reason ?

But also some of the content from some users becomes too childhood orientated, and/or far fetched.

This is definitely part of the reason. While there are a lot of exceptions, a lot of users here seem to be people who've never had sex and likely never will; a significant proportion seem to be outright asexual, which is bizarre for a fetish website. People coming to jack off to wetting stories will also usually be put off by ones involving children, animals, etc, which seem fairly common. Once people find relationships in real life, even if they don't have much omorashi in them, this site will usually lose its appeal.

I think it's a mix of things but the one that personally drives me away is that (imo) it's hard to ever truely get accepted on this site unless you're a content provider. Whether that means real life stories, fan fiction, videos, pictures, etc. I think since people come here as a way to find like-minded people to confide in, and end up never feeling fully accepted unless they are a content provider.

But also some people come here to open up and find it harder than they thought. At least that's how I felt at first.

And then there's people that come here strictly for the content and get bored eventually.

Just my thoughts though.

I joined in Jan and then not logged in or being active for several months and then only recently come back as an active member.

Main reason for me was that I had a query about wetting. Found this forum and an answer then not logged in again due to life gettingin the way. Then recently I started to have some wet accidents again managed to find website again and this time ive stuck with it.

I Have to say I feel its many many reasons all which seemed to have been covered here above some of which I agree with others maybe not! But that aside what I will say is having been online now since 1996 when there was not much online about this whole subject, and then we had those explosive few years say from 2000 onwards for a few years with so many groups all the boards on this subject seemed so active and lively, everyone wanted to talk! I often wondered if a lot of this was due to the fact that for the first time in our lives we had found like-minded people out here in the world to share all this with and it seemed as soon as we knew we were not alone maybe there was not the great need for some of us to share all this with others any more. Who knows! But what I would like to say is I have found this whole site to be the friendliest of sites by far which to me keeps me coming back to this site time and time again.   Long may it continue I say. Kev.

Lack of novelty. I've seen the same general questions come up again and again alongside the same general conversations people have. Occasionally something interesting happens like the wetting dares topic which I keep an eye on but for the most part I don't have much to comment on.

People I have conversations with over PMs randomly disappearing (including one person who habitually disappears without warning and returns six months later) and a general sense people in my timezone don't want to form any kind of casual group to chat in leaves me just casually checking here each day out of habit.

I tried making content years ago but a general lack of interest beyond a few comments made it seem pointless to take the extra effort to share my enjoyment of this kink when I practiced it.
