Wet in the Wastelands II

"Right" Begins Emily, walking toward the Goldfall barracks with Jennifer. "Remind me what I'm doing and why"

Jennifer begins by sighing. "Once again, Emily, you and a team of two others will be heading toward Phoenix stadium-"
"Phoenix? Isn't that the far end of the city?" Emily interrupts.
"Yes. It is." Jennifer says. "It's more than a few days journey without a blimp-"
"Why can't we use your ones?"
"Why can't you stop interrupting?" Jennifer hisses with a frown. "It's because there are hostile groups and gangs who have somehow got their hands on large guns. Artillery, anti air-"
"Where did they get it?"
"Emily, if you interrupt me again I will take you in a blimp and drop you out the side."
Emily nods without speaking.
"Somehow, a bunch of groups have got ahold of big guns. Real big guns. These groups include the people of Mechania, the stadium-based Firebirds, and the Warhogs. Who stole one from the Mechanians. They shot down one of our airships a while ago, which we believe is how they caught your target - Rivera."

The name Rivera has Emily cringing. The first and only time she met Rivera, she'd wet herself while taking Rivera's bad advice of 'just pee like a boy' or words to that effect. Emily was too desperate to think straight, so it wasn't really her fault at all. Entirely Rivera, and not Emily for listening to her.

"Rivera..." Emily repeats. "She's the blue one, right? With the wings?"
"That's the one" Jennifer confirms. "Now, Goldfall wants her - more specifically, Doctor Toboggan wants her for his - I'd hesitate to call it research. Now, we want her-"
"Who's we?" Emily asks.
Jennifer breaths hard out through her nose, trying to stay calm.
"S-sorry" Emily says, looking at her feet.
"Would you like to interrupt me again?"
"N-no"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah..."
"Good." Jennifer says, crossing her arms. "We want the other three girls. We're ready to-"
"Three? There're four of them"
Jennifer is about to shout when she realises. Four?
"What do you mean 'four'"?
"Our reports said Rivera and four other girls..."
"Huh." Jennifer says, thinking. "Doesn't matter, we only want the three. They've been behind lines that we can't get behind, so they might know some valuable stuff"
Emily has to stop herself asking questions and interrupting again, which Jennifer must notice.
"We can't get behind the lines because they have guns" Jennifer tells her. Emily nods. "We need those guns gone if we're going to make it back home with the blimps, so we need the intel on their guns. All making sense?"
"Yeah" Emily says nodding. Jennifer hands her a folder. Emily puts the folder into her bag.
"In that folder you've got a basic map of the area, a metro map, and the details on the local groups you'll be dealing with."
"Warhogs, Mechania, and Firebirds?"
"That's right. You'll need to assemble a team to get in and out of the Stadium with the girls alive, and you'll need to plan how to get there."

There are three ways to get to Phoenix stadium, excluding going above ground. There's the Harbour, a luxury port that's fell into ruin and is inhabited by all sorts of creatures, but will be the easiest to walk through, and avoids going through the main known hostile stations. It's also the quickest route to the Stadium.

The second way is through the Crater. The Crater is a highly radioactive part of the city, although that won't be an issue underground. What will be an issue is the number of mutants that inhabit the tunnels by day, or the short stretch where even the tunnel is exposed to the over-ground. On the other hand, there are a fair few stations, though they aren't all friendly.

The third way is to go around the Crater, through the metro. This means passing a number of stations, and at some point passing the checkpoints of the Grand District line - not necessarily hostile, but extremely powerful and strict with their checkpoints. If Emily can't pass the checkpoint, it could mean going above ground, and that's something she'd rather avoid. But if she can, the number of friendly stations should make the journey quite easy.

"Think it over" Jennifer says. "Once you've got your team, me and my men will escort you to Liberty Garden station. That's where you'll have to choose which way to go from there. You have an hour till we leave. Any questions?"
"Err, n-nope."
"Good. Get going."

WitWIIPart002.thumb.png.3908b5054b0767830b8d363f4414f72b.png

Emily paws over the maps. The overground map is a fairly detailed one, made by the Three Banner's, with the little eagle and standard stamped on the top right corner. The area around Goldfall is mostly pock marked with danger signs, denoting mutants, dangerous overgrowth, or radiation hot spots - hence the need to travel by train. The Metro map isn't much better - around half the stations are marked as unexplored, and of those remaining another half are known to be either hostile or too dangerous to want to go through, although most obstacles boil down to either blockages or angry things, with or without guns. To deal with these, Emily decides she's going to need an explosives expert, and a rifleman.

"Demolitions?" The girl asks again, throwing a grenade up into the air  and catching it with one hand, over and over again. "Not an easy job, Emmie, not a lot of girls would be willing to do that sort of thing. What's in it for me?"
"What do you mean what's in it for you, Allie?" Emily asks, hand on one hip and cocked to one side. "It's for the station! It's your duty!"
"Duty and gratitude doesn't really put food on the table now though, does it?" The girl says, looking at the back of her hand.
This girl is Allie, Goldfall's leading explosives expert and unkempt mess. She's sat on her equipment box, tossing a grenade with one hand, and holding a cigarette in the other.
"Those things'll kill you, you know" Emily says, pointing.Allie looks down to her  smoking cigarette, then at the grenade in her other hand.
"Which one?" She says after a pause and with a grin.
Emily sighs. "I guess I can get HQ to pay you a bit extra-"
"Ahem"
"-A lot extra if you do this job. You in?"
Allie leans back against the wall and takes a drag from her cigarette.
"I don't know...will there be cute boys involved? I've been single for a while now..."
"Cute boys?" Emily asks, eyebrow raised. "The last time you got drunk you made out with half the girls in the station, myself included. I don't think boys are really your thing"
Allie chuckles. "You know you're a pretty great kisser, Em."
"I wasn't actually trying to kiss you back - you might remember I was trying to push you off after you took me by surprise while I was talking to someone else"
"Want to do it again sometime?"
"Not really"
Allie smirks. "I'd consider it part of my payment..."
"Consider it a bonus if you do the job well enough" Emily says, not skipping a beat. "We get out with all four girls alive, we can make out all you want"
"Deal" Allie says. She watches as Emily walks off again, tossing the grenade up and down again. She's looking forward to this job now.

"So you're Sarah?"
"Y-yeah, I'm Sarah..."
"You don't talk much"
"N-no..."
Sarah towers over Emily. Emily's quite short to begin with, but Sarah stands at almost seven foot tall. In her hands, and at about half Sarah's total height is her elephant gun - a single barreled, breech loading rifle, hand made by Sarah. Even with them both being sat down at Goldfall's cafe tables, Sarah still sticks out quite a bit.
"And you're sure you're good for the job?"
"Umm...yeah..."
Emily leans over onto the table. "Only the advert said you were a fearless mercenary with the most powerful arm in the Metro"
"I...This is a very powerful gun..."
"You look like you're scared now, just talking to me" Emily says, eyebrow raised.
"I'm....I'm not..."
"You look like you've never fired a gun before in your life"
Sarah blushes and looks down. "I've...I've shot l-loads of people..."
Emily looks at her. Sarah goes quiet.
"How do I know I'm not about to waste a bunch of station money here? I need the best, and you don't look like it"
"I, umm...I guess you don't..."
Emily sighs and looks off to one side, then back up at Sarah.
"You're not really selling yourself here - I expected a gristled mercenary rifleman when I saw your advert on the board. Almost seven foot, with a gun that can shoot straight through a monitor."
"I mean...that is what I am..."
"Didn't mention you being kinda...scared"
Sarah blushes and goes quiet again.
"Yeah, I'm gonna hire someone else, I think. You aren't-"
"Wait! L-let me show you what I can do! I-if you don't like me, y-you can hire someone else, a-a-and I won't take any pay!"
Emily thinks on it for a moment. She sighs once more, and looks back to Sarah.
"Okay, you have a deal. We're meeting in half an hour at the station. We'll be going on the armoured train through to Liberty Garden, then we're going one of three ways to Phoenix stadium. You're the team sniper, so we're gonna be kinda relying on you. A lot." Emily says, standing up and beginning to leave.
"T-team?" Sarah says, standing up shocked
"Yeah, team, what's wrong?"
"I'm...I'm not so good with p-people" Sarah mumbles, looking down.
Emily laughs once and leans on one leg. "Yeah, no kidding." Emily says, leaving a pause. "I'll Meet you at the station" She adds, walking off

WitWIIPart003.thumb.png.385b584b103e22dee706895120e8f1ae.png

Emily and the two mercenaries make their way up to Jennifer and Amy, who are waiting at the Armoured train's main door.
"These are the two girls you've picked?" Jennifer asks, eying them both over
"Yup" Emily says, looking back at them, wondering if she's made the right choice.
"Good" Jennifer says. "Anyway, we've got a message from headquarters, regarding the girls."
"Headquarters?" Emily repeats. "What is it?"
"It's a the big tent with generals inside it!" Amy jumps in. She slowly sinks away as Emily and Jennifer both cast her an icy glare of disapproval. "S-sorry"
"Goldfall has agreed to pay you an equal amount for the other girls you manage to rescue - not just Rivera, but the other one's she's with. They could have important information"
"So no guys then?" Allie cuts in. This time it's her turn to have icy glares cast at her, but she seems mostly oblivious.
"No." Jennifer says, frowning. "No guys."

Jennifer adjusts her sunglasses, and straightens her coat.
"So, Emily." She says. "Have you decided how you're going to begin?"

How will Emily be beginning her journey?

A) "We'll be going via the harbour. It cuts our total journey in half, and time is of the essence. We'll just have to hope we don't annoy any mutant crabs"
B)"We're going to go straight through the Crater. It has the most friendly stations on the way there, and we might need resupplying a decent amount, we'll just have to rush through the less friendly ones. And the radioactive pockets."
C) "We'll go the long way, through the Grand District. So long as we can pass their checkpoints, it'll be smooth sailing, even if it does take us all week"

Jennifer adjusts her sunglasses, and straightens her coat.
"So, Emily." She says. "Have you decided how you're going to begin?"

Emily thinks for a moment. The Harbour would be the quickest route, but the horror stories of the mutant creatures that have set up in it's toxic waters convince her that speed isn't everything. The Grand District on the other hand would take weeks at best to arrive, leaving only the Crater as a viable option.

"I guess we'll go through the crater" Emily says, earning a raised eyebrow from Jennifer but a quiet nod from Amy.
"The Crater?" Allie steps in. "The big radioactive fuck-off hole in the middle of the city? Is that our best plan?
"It'll be fine, Allie" Emily says, turning to face her. "The Stations there are mostly safe, you aren't going to get irradiated any time soon"
"The place is full of mutants. Big, horrible, mutants, that -"
"I can....I can deal with mutants..." Sarah mumbles, forcing herself to talk. "I've killed, uhm, plenty..."
Allie looks to Sarah, then to Emily. Then back at Sarah.
She looks Sarah up and down, making Sarah a bit uncomfortable. Sarah looks away from Allie and blushes.
"This is our guard?" Allie says, turning back to Emily. "She hardly fills me with confidence"
Emily sighs and looks at Sarah, who responds by blushing harder.
"Don't worry Allie, she promises she can hold her own in a fight." Sarah nods quietly. "And her gun does look pretty impressive"
Sarah smiles a little at Sarah's words, but loses it when she looks up to see both girls looking at her again.
"I-it's a Four-Bore Rifle...I m-made it myself..."
Allie raises both her eyebrows. "Four bore?"
"Y-yeah"
Allie smiles. "Well, that's not bad." She admits. "So long as none of the mutants try to strike up a conversation we should be fine"

Jennifer coughs loudly to get the attention of the three.
"You two done belittling your companion there?" She says, frowning. "Can we carry on?"
"Yeah" Allie says, smirking. "We can pick it up again later"
Jennifer casts a frown at Allie, who doesn't seem to care.
"I'll have the driver know that he'll be taking you through to the Crater, through Broadgate. You'll be leaving in ten minutes."

* * *

"Ready to go?" Amy says, walking into the carriage. Allie, Emily and Sarah are all sat down waiting for something to happen.
"We've been ready for about nine minutes" Allie says. "The only reason we weren't for the first minute is that we were finding a chair"
"Well then" Amy begins. "We'll be sending you off soon, the journey will be about an hour or so"
"An hour!" Sarah exclaims, before sinking back into her chair. "That...an hour?"
"Yeah, an hour seems like quite a while" Emily says. "This journey's usually only about half that."
"Yes, well..." Amy begins, getting a bit flustered. "The driver this time says our engine is faulty, and we won't be able to get the replacement parts for the train until we reach a station with engineering facilities and an engineer."
"Great, so the next station?" Emily asks.
"No...we need the engineer."
"What's wrong with the guy who usually does work for us?"
"He's dead." Amy says. "He was trying to fix the train engine on the way here, until he blew one of the steam valves. Blasted him across his workshop."
"Whew, not a great way to go" Allie says.
"Certainly isn't" Amy says with a nod. "So the next station with an engineer is, um..."
"It's Steelmill". Sophie says. She stares at her feet and sits quite stiff. "The nearest stop with an engineer on our route is Steelmill"
"Umm...yes. That's right." Amy says, a little impressed. "It's only six stops from here"
"A-and it's going to take an hour?" Sophie asks.
"Yeah, should be an hour." Amy says, looking back at the notepad in her hands.
"That a problem, Sophe?" Emily asks her.
"N-no!" Sophie says, as if Emily was accusing her of something. "I'm...that's fine..."
Emily casts her a strange look, then turns back to Amy.
"Anything else we should know before we get going?"
"Umm...can't think of anything quite now" Amy says. "No, wait, that's wrong! We need someone in the cabin with us."
"Why?" Emily asks.
"Remember how I told you that engineer managed to blow himself up?"
"Yeah."
"He also blew up the navigator."
"And?"
"And we need a navigator."
"What for? It's like six stops to Steelmill."
"Yes, but we need someone to work the breaks, and the driver's a bit weak after the explosion"
"Why can't you do it?" Emily asks. Amy blushes.
"I'm...not strong enough..." Amy admits. Emily sighs.
"Why not Jennifer?"
"She's busy in her own carriage, she has to plan for some things for when we reach Broadgate. Which is where we'll be leaving you, by the way."
Emily sighs again. "Great, I'll come and keep an eye on the breaks."
"A-are we stopping between here and Broadgate?" Sarah asks, still staring at the tips of her shoes.
"No, should be headed straight there." Amy says. "We'll only be there so that Jenny and I can get off though."
"Oh...okay" Sarah says. Amy nods to Emily and the two make their ways towards the driver's cabin.

Allie grins to Sarah. Sarah blushes and looks away.
"You're uh, not much of a talker are you?" Allie asks. Sarah just shakes her head.
Allie sighs again, leaning back on the carriage chairs. The whole carriage shudders as the engine kicks in at the front, lurching everything forward as it begins to haul the train forward.
"Well" Allie begins. "I'm gonna make myself comfy". She leans forward and begins untying her shoes.
Sarah doesn't say anything.
The train slowly picks up speed, shortly reaching a steady speed as it begins to drag itself through the first tunnel. The lights of the carriage flicker into life, illuminating the two girls in a dim, unsteady yellow light.
"D'you ride these trains a lot, Sarah?" Allie asks, sliding one foot out of her shoe.
"N-no..." Sarah says.
Allie keeps looking at Sarah, trying to gain eye contact, even as she pulls off her other shoe. Sarah keeps staring at her own feet however.
"What do you usually do?" Allie asks, trying to rekindle the conversation, staring at Sarah's face as she continues her vain attempt at eye contact.
"I'm a mercenary..." Sarah mumbles.
Allie chuckles once, kicking her legs onto the train chairs.
"Well yeah." Allie says. "We're both mercenaries. But what did you do before this?" She asks, pushing herself along the seats until she reaches the wall.
"I, umm, I was a big game h-hunter..."
"Oh yeah?" Allie says, with a bit of genuine interest. "Any stories about that?"
"N-not really...I just hunted for my settlement..."
"What happened to the settlement?" Allie asks, leaning back and closing her eyes, having made herself comfortable.
"N-nothing...I just left..."
Allie sighs again. "What made you leave?"
"I was offered more pay to be a mercenary."
"Any interesting stories in your time as a merc?" Allie asks. "I know I've got a few."
"Umm....I once took out a tank..."
Allie opens her eyes and raises her eyebrow. "A tank? Tell me about it?"
"Umm...some people hired me to help scavenge a building....some raiders attacked us in a tank..."
Allie sits waiting for more. It doesn't come until she asks. "So what happened?"
"W-well...the tank fired at Willia- my client, a-a-and that killed him. B-because it blew him apart..."
"And then?" Allie presses on, seeing that Sarah was about to go quiet again.
"And I t-took the tank out..."
"How did you do that?" Allie asks, now feeling a bit of excitement building up.
"I...um....I shot it..."
"You shot it?"
"Y-yeah..."
"Wow. Fascinating. You shot it." Allie says, hoping that sarcasm will get through to Sarah.
"Well...I shot the driver...through the armour...then I kinda ran away..."
Sarah sighs again and leans back. Sarah seems like the only person who could take a tank encounter story and turn it into something boring.
"Well, Sarah, Tank-slayer. I'm sorry to end this fascinating story so soon, but I'm going to have a nap. Wake me up if anything happens."
Sarah nods. Allie keeps one eye open, hoping Sarah will do anything more than stare at the floor in front of herself. After a minute or so she doesn't, so Allie chuckles again, before closing her eyes and letting herself fall asleep.

WitWIIPart004...thumb.png.ff9c3107383d3c083605629e2e227eed.png

As the train trundles on, Sarah is left in the relative silence. The train groans and clunks as it moves along, occasionally jerking slightly. Outside the train is nothing but the darkness, with the train's own light only slightly illuminating the brick walls of the tunnel. Sarah looks over to Allie. Allie is lying quite still - she looks comfortable, even on the lumpy chairs of the train. In the quiet, Sarah has time to look around the carriage.
The chairs are in a relatively decent way. That is to say, they still have minimal padding, and a cloth cover over them. The cloth on each chair varies, mostly being scraps of material found somewhere and haphazardly stapled to the frames. Various holes and stains pock-mark the fabrics, making Sarah a bit cautious about touching them anymore than she is. It doesn't seem to have bothered Allie though, who is grinning gently in her sleep.
Sarah can't help but like Allie, though she gets the feeling Allie feels mostly indifferent towards herself. Not many people put in the time to talk to her at all, so she's glad at Allie's efforts.
She remembers the time she took out that tank. It's one of her less fond memories, but the image in her head of the day is still clear as crystal.
A man named William had hired the services of a marksman, and Sarah had fit the bill. They'd gone up to the surface, to salvage a recent battle scene for anything useful. William had been pulling ammunition and scrap metal out of the twisted wreckage of a Pickup truck that had been hit badly by something, presumably another pick up, or maybe a wall. The battleground must have attracted a much more powerful group however, as a tank burst through one of the ruined walls nearby, catching them both off guard. Before either her or William could respond, the tank's main cannon had fired off a round toward the pair, scoring a direct hit on William's upper body. Without a second thought, Sarah had bought her rifle to her shoulder and let off a round into the tank's body, tearing through the thick armour like paper. She must have hit something important, as the tank quickly picked up speed and lurched forward, driving past Sarah and toward another wall. Sarah meanwhile had turned and ran, too scared and focused on running to notice the hot streams running down either leg as her bladder had given way to fear. She swung herself around a lamppost and hid behind a wall, taking a minute to catch her breath. She didn't bother stopping her bladder from emptying itself though. It was too late for that - she gave in and finished having her accident where she stood, leaving a puddle and some wet footprints when she left.
On that note...

Sarah blushes at the memory. But right now the memory of being attacked by a tank wasn't Sarah's main problem. She had another pressing issue.
She looks around the carriage again. Nothing had changed inside. Allie was now completely asleep, snoring gently. Her soft breathing, making a pleasant contrast to the harsh grinding and clunking of the carriage itself. The light flickers a couple times.
Sarah sighs, and looks at her feet. She wouldn't ever admit this to the other girls, but right now she's in a bit of a situation.
She needs to pee.
She knew she should have gone back at Goldfall before she left, but back then she didn't have to go quite so badly.
She'd look so childish if she had to ask for a toilet now, considering that they've only just left. She couldn't possibly risk looking bad in front of Emily, who already is doubting her. She'll have to find something to do about it.

What should she do?

A) Nothing. Hold it quietly. She can pee when they get to Steelmill. She can hold it...probably.
B) The chairs of the carriage are seperated by small dividers. Sarah could position herself behind one of those and let go onto the floor. The floor is slightly angled so any puddle will run out the side of the train. Although she's hardly well hidden - if anyone came in they'd clearly be able to see what she's doing.
C) The front of the carriage has a large chunk of debris on one side. It just might be large enough to hide her from Allie, and she could go on the floor. Undignified, yes - but desperate times might call for desperate measures. She can just hope that no-one asks about the puddle that appears to have come out of nowhere.
D) Look around for a container. There has to be a bottle somewhere, right? These old trains are full of junk. If there isn't a bottle anywhere though, this will involve a lot of moving around for ultimately nothing, and Sarah could go without that. And if someone caught her...
E) It's a train! It must have a toilet on board, right? Sarah could look up and down the two carriages for a toilet. That way she won't have to say anything to anyone. Although if someone catches her, she'll be too shy to say what she's really doing, and she'll be forced to sit down and wait until they reach Steelmill.

Hey, you’re back! I say she does A, though, because I’m sure it’ll be super easy to hold her bladder for an hour on a bumpy, grinding train, right? And if there happens to be a delay... so what?! She should be fine! So she should hold it. I vote A.

You're forgetting that interactives like these are always rigged against you, if you simply do nothing there's no doubt that she'll pee herself!

i reckon we should do E

Sarah leans forwards and looks around. There's got to be somewhere she can go, she's on a train after all.
She stands up out of her chair, keeping quiet so not to wake up Allie, who by now has one arm dangling over the side of the chair and is starting to snore. How anyone can fall asleep on a train like this is beyond Sarah.
Having stood up, Sarah now takes in the extent of her problem. Gravity seems to pull down hard on her bladder now she's stood up, and for a moment Sarah has to focus on holding herself, which she manages with a slight moan.
She goes to step forward toward the rear end of the carriage, but the tracks themselves seem to be against her as the whole carriage jerks hard and knocks her back into her seat. Allie doesn't so much as open her eyes, despite nearly being thrown off the chairs.
Sarah stands up again, with a lot more effort needed than before. Taking the train's hand-rails in one hand and herself in the other, she makes her way down the carriage.

Each step feels like a victory for Sarah as she fights against the train and her bladder's desire to empty. She has to cling onto the rails with each step or she'd be knocked about the carriage. She'd much rather be using her hand to hold onto herself, but she'd also like to be walking and not crawling.
By the time she reaches the end of the carriage Sarah feels like she deserves some sort of reward, but looking out the window she's sorely disappointed by the sight of the murky tunnel behind her through the glass.

She can see herself wince in her reflection. All the effort of walking to the door - wasted. She looks back up the carriage to the other door. There's no window on the other one, and Sarah really considers the fact she should have tried that door first.
But now it's too late, she's made it to the wrong door, and now she needs to go back. She rests her hand on the glass once more as she forces herself to accept the fact.

The train jerks heavily again as it rolls along.
Then again.
Then once more.
The entire carriage shakes again as something seems to knock the whole train about from the outside.
'That can't be the tracks...' thinks Sarah, steadying herself against a pole. She looks nervously out the windows, hoping to see anything in the darkness. Or more accurately, hoping not to see anything.

WitWIIPart007.thumb.png.b7e72bf2c68ff306aaf9ed4b4632e2ca.png

The train jerks again, nearly throwing Sarah over again, this time much harder than it had before. The train seems to slow down and the wheels shriek as they grind against the rails. Something's pushing the train down, and hard.
One more sudden thunk and whatever it is shows itself.

WitWIIPart006.thumb.png.900fff26104f5866c01d0eaa14b72671.png

Sharp claws tear into the walls of the train, peeling the steel back like torn wallpaper.
The sounds of the tunnel burst through the holes with harsh gusts of stale wind, as the creature begins clambering outside the carriage, punching more holes through the walls.

WitWIIPart008.thumb.png.6f63a3fcd0d9d80a453590413d789539.png
Sarah falls back in shock, now losing control of her own body - but the sight of this creature is enough to distract her from it. She can barely hear the hiss over the sound of scattering coming from outside the carriage.
A browned carapace crawls over the door of the carriage, revealing some of whatever creature is outside.
More loud crashes reveal that this creature isn't alone, with more holes being punched into the train from all across.
The now terrified Sarah darts back into the carriage toward the still-sleeping Allie.
Another Thunk smashes into the carriage, sending Sarah over and straight onto her face.
She spins herself around onto her backside, and takes a second to re-calibrate herself - the knock has sent her far enough up the carriage that she can just about reach Allie's bag. She wriggles herself backward a few more inches and grabs it, hoping to find something useful inside.
She's not even aware of her bladder, now comfortably emptying itself into her jeans as she scrambles for something useful.
Something smashes against the side window of the carriage, causing the glass to crack across from side to side. This sends a powerful wave straight through Sarah, causing her to hiss louder as her bladder reacts in shock.
Sarah grabs ahold of something solid and metal, and yanks it out the bag. Looking down she discovers the handgun she's found, as well as the rapidly growing puddle underneath her. She doesn't have time to be embarrassed now though.

Sarah lifts the gun up to eye level, takes aim, and fires.

WitWIIPart009.thumb.png.6dfb91ae9387f750c4149cfa8ce59299.png

The sound shatters through the carriage, leaving a ringing in Sarah's ears, but the shot finds it's target.
A thud can be heard from the back of the carriage as something falls off and hits the floor, but the loud scampering and spitting sounds indicate that the creature's not dead. Sarah pushes herself further back into the carriage, leaving a warm smear as she does. By now she's gained enough composure to stop her bladder, but the damage has still been done, leaving the seat of her jeans a much darker shade of blue. As she pushes herself further up, the sound of Allie's breathing startles her.
She turns to Allie, pointing the gun vaguely in her direction.
She's still asleep. A thin line of drool runs off her face and onto the chair.

Sarah's eyes dart about the carriage and she tries to make sense of things.
There's still something clattering about outside the train, and it sounds like there could be quite a few of them. At the back of the carriage, long, spindly legs probe their way through the shattered glass of the door's window, blown apart by the gun shot.
Sarah punches Allie in the arm in an attempt to wake her up.
"H-hey..."
Sarah frowns and punches her again.
"S-stop!" Allie moans.
Sarah frowns and throws the gun into Allie's lap, instead reaching for her own as she tries to stand up. As another leg makes it's way into the door at the back, Sarah whimpers and smacks her own gun into Allie's shoulder.
"H-hey! You trying to bruise me or something?"
"G-get up!" Sarah hisses to her. "Th-there's something on the carriage."
"What?"
Sarah answers by firing her gun down the carriage.
Sarah's gun is much bigger and much more powerful than Allie's little pistol, which means two things.
Firstly, the sound of the shot resonates about the carriage, almost deafening Allie.
Secondly, the creature at the back of the carriage is blown apart with a grisly splatter, leaving bits of it on the tunnel walls.
"Sarah! Jeez! What the hell was that!?"
Sarah swings her gun forward, throwing the barrel open and spitting out the empty shell.
"Creatures. S-shoot them!" Sarah stammers as she slides in another round.
"Oh shit, Roaches!" mumbles Allie as she rubs her ears. "We should head to the others and get their help!" she then shouts.
"O-others? N-no, just shoot!"
"Did you piss yourself?"
Sarah blushes bright red. She knows the answer. She can feel the answer, and it feels like cold wet denim, clinging to her backside. At least she doesn't need to pee quite so badly any more. Sarah decides she won't answer the question though, instead she fires off another round.
"Damn!" Yelps Allie. "Warn me before you do that!" She shouts, covering both ears.

The door behind them swings open as Emily barges in.
"What the hell is going on h- WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE?"
"Roaches" Allie answers relatively calmly. Sarah begins to load another round into her gun, as the scratching and clambering intensifies on the top of the carriage.
The train begins to screech as it struggles to drag itself through a tight corner in the tracks.
"If you shoot that again" Begins Allie, quite angrily. "I'm going to jam that gun up your-"
A third shot cuts of Allie's sentence as another roach is blown apart.
"How many of them are there?" Emily shouts, ignoring the ringing in her ears.
"Sounds like a lot" Sarah answers. "W-we might be in trouble!"
"I'll go get my gun then" Emily says, beginning to turn around.
"Don't bother" Allie shouts. "There's too many, let's get into the back and detach this carriage, let them eat it"
"W-we can take them!" Shouts back Sarah, as she loads another shot.
The train jerks again, throwing the three girls backward. Sarah lands on her face, and Emily lands on Sarah's backside. Allie lands on the chair.
"Jeez, Sarah!" Groans Emily as she picks her face out of wet denim.
"I was scared!" She shouts back. "W-we've got bigger problems right now!"
"Yeah" Says Allie. "I need to pee too!"

"Come on then you two!" Shouts Emily. "We'd better abandon this carriage"
"W-what?" Shouts Emily as the two girls climb to their feet again. "No! W-we can fight them off!"
"Well you've already wet yourself" Allie points out, making Sarah blush. "And it sounds like there's a lot more"
"Then again." Begins Emily. "Sarah's been doing a good job of fighting them off, and we are quite close to Broadgate, they can fight them off."
"Either way, I do actually need to pee" Allie adds on. "Can we incorporate that into our plan?"

"So, do we abandon the carriage or not?" Emily asks.

A) "Yes, abandon the carriage." (They might chase the rest of the train anyway)
B) "No, Fight the roaches off." (Someone could get hurt)

"And can I go to the toilet?"

1) "There's no toilet on the train, just go on the floor somewhere if it's that bad."
2) "No, we'll be at Broadgate soon, hold it till we get there"
3) "Stand up and go off the side of the train once we're done with these roaches."
