female The Book: A Choose Your Own Omorashi Adventure

Recommended Posts

A "Choose Your Own Adventure" story with omorashi themes?

Just what you've been waiting for, right?

Well wait no longer!

The tutorial room was filled with empty boxes and piles of books. Mostly ancient National Geographics, yellowing Mill& Boon, and shitty trade paperbacks from the 80's. You question your decision, not for the first time, to help out the University book fair committee by doing a first pass on the boxes of donations. Books are cool. These book are not.

The pile of books that you and Nita have thought merited the attentions of an actual librarian barely qualifies for the word pile. It's two. Can two things be a pile? What if they were grains of sand? You'd need move than two right? You consider asking Nita her thoughts on what would constitute a pile but decide it's just too hot to have that argument today.

You finish off the last of your water-bottle and wipe away the sheen of sweat that keeps appearing on your brow. You imagine you must look a mess. Nita, of course, looks great. You aren't sure you've even ever seen her sweat.

There's only one box left unopened. You could sort through it. It probably wouldn't take five minutes. Or you could leave it for Nita and go to the bathroom for a quick pee. You've needed to for a while now and like your Mum always tells you, "a stitch in time saves nine." But it isn't anything like an emergency and it would be a bit slack to lump the last box on Nita.

"Um, sure. We'll drop it off with Joanna," You agree. "You don't seem super enthused?" Nita narrows her eyes at you. "Don't you think this book is pretty damn amazing?" "Yeah... It's cool."

You can always go to the bathroom later. You let your eyes drift closed and try to fall back into your dream. It doesn't really work but you let your waking imagination take over. His chest press

"Don't make other people do work you can do for yourself." Mum always said that as well. Besides, this could be the box that contains something really cool! Yep, just keep telling yourself that.

It's mostly Wiccan books. Their copyright pages place most of them from the 70's, give or take. Mostly first editions; though contrary to popular belief that doesn't really mean much. A book that no one has ever heard of is worthless regardless of scarcity. The Virgin of the World by Trismegistus, Demonology and Witchcraft by Robbins, Magick in Theory and Practice by Crowley. Ooh, you've heard of him! That one could be a good find. Really any of them could be. You aren't one of those chicks who wear feathers in their hair and dance around in a circle for Samhain.

You move the Wiccan books over a few at a time to the pile on the table.

"Whoa! You hit the mother-load?" Nita exclaims.

"Maybe... Wiccan stuff. It can be worth something right?"

"Sometimes." Nita agrees but goes back to tossing dodgy thrillers into an already sorted box.

Checking each book's copyright page means the last box takes rather longer than you'd anticipated and you begin to regret not nipping off to the loo before you started. But the box is almost empty so you just cross your legs and put it out of your mind. The final book has no copyright page. It's cover looks like a deep brown leather, but not like any leather you've seen before and the title looks like it might have been applied with a brand. It isn't in English. German maybe?

It doesn't even appear to be printed. The pages look to have been hand-inked. Most of them are illustrated. You flip through the book.

You feel somehow drawn to it. The rest of the world; the stifling heat, the cicadeal drone, your nagging bladder, all fade into the background. Maybe you should read some out loud?

Even once you've made the decision to close the book it is surprisingly hard to tear your eyes away from the pages. You shut your eyes for a second but the chaotic symbols seem to still swim in your vision.

"Sleeping on the job?" Nita says from over your shoulder. "Whoa! What the fuck is that one?" She pulls the book from your grasp.

"The... Dunklezauber?" She runs her fingers over the cover. "How cool is this thing? What kind of leather is this?"

You stand up. You don't actually remember sitting down. You really need a pee. "Yeah it's pretty cool..."

Nita has the book open and is marveling at the pages. "Is that a Chimera! We should take this straight to Joanna right? She'll know what it is. Ooh! Or we could research it ourselves. Like nerds." She sticks her tongue out at you. Her tongue-stud clicks off her incisors. She means Associate Professor Hodge; she's one of those younger lecturers who insists everyone call her by her first name.

You can't help feeling that the book is not really something you should have anything to do with. That said... maybe you shouldn't just leave it lying here.

"Um, sure. We'll drop it off with Joanna," You agree.

"You don't seem super enthused?" Nita narrows her eyes at you. "Don't you think this book is pretty damn amazing?"

"Yeah... It's cool." You don't feel like sharing your misapprehensions about the book with Nita. "I'm just really busting for a wee."

She sticks her tongue out at you. "Me too. But lets see what Joanna knows about the book first." Once Nita gets an idea in her head it's often easier to just get out of the way.

You lock the door behind you and make your way to Associate Professor Hodge's office. It's unlocked, like usual. She's the type of lecturer who has a perpetual open door policy.

The building was built in the 70's, a "masterpiece" of brutalism; all blocky weather-stained concrete and uncleanable glass windows. Not Joanna's aesthetic in the slightest. Still, she had done her best to soften her office with exotic rugs, hand-woven wall hangings, and rows of leaning bookshelves stuffed with interesting looking tomes. She wasn't behind the University issue pine and aluminium desk covered with fetishes and ceramics.

"Should we just leave the book with a note? Or do you want to wait for her?" Nita asks you.

You want to go pee before you end up embarrassing yourself. That's what you want to do. Still... you don't entirely want to leave the book with Nita. You love her, but she is pretty erratic and impulsive.

You check Joanna's class schedule, conveniently pinned to a small cork-board behind her door. It is currently "office hours", she should have finished an "Introduction to South-American Folklore" lecture ten minutes ago. She must have been slightly delayed, but presumably she'll be back any minute and as such you decide to just wait for her rather than leave Nita alone with the book.

You and Nita sit in the hard plastic chairs facing Joanna's desk and chat about an upcoming Econ assignment. You are summarising Latvia's banking system, which is going much better than Nita's investigations into the banking practices of the Congo. Largely because she hasn't started.

Then the office door opens behind you and you swivel your head to speak to Joanna. Whatever you were about to say dies in your mouth. She has very clearly just peed in her tan shorts. a obvious wet stain runs from her crotch down both legs. Your own bladder surges in a reminder that you aren't to old to join her. Your brain frantically races for the appropriate thing to say. Do you acknowledge her accident? Make a joke? Ignore it? What's the protocol for this kind of situation?

Nita bails you out. "Hey Joanna! Sorry for waiting in your office but we found this book going through the book fair donations and thought that you might be able to tell us what it is?" She babbled just a little.

Joanna turns back to the door to both lock it from the inside and hide a blush from you. She quickly moves to put her desk between herself and the two of you. "Hrmm... I don't believe I've ever heard of "Dunklezauber"... It's German for "Dark Magic"... more or less. She flicks through the pages before settling, seemingly at random on a page mostly taken up by a coloured illumination of two... creatures. One is a man, the other a woman, but they have great membranous wings, caprine horns, and what looks like claws.

"The technique is astonishing, it can't antedate the Raphaelites... It isn't a dialect I speak but this page is clearly Romantic, Italic even. Maybe if I... She begin reading the page out loud in a low mumble. You have a sense of foreboding that this isn't going to end well.

Suddenly the light in the room dim, flicker, and gutter out completely and you hear voices that definitely aren't either Joanna or Nita speaking a strange and malevolent tongue. But just as suddenly the light are bright again and Joanna is examining the book's binding.

"I think it's a compilation. The pages clearly weren't scriven by the same author. They aren't even the same paper. Some redactor, probably a German from the cover, has put together a collection of older pages. But they are almost certainly very old unless this is a very cunning forgery. Thank you for bringing it to my attention girls. I'll see that it is fully investigated. The university definitely won't be selling it though."  She is visibly excited, "However, if you'll excuse me, I have somethings to take care of..."

It's a clear suggestion that you leave.

After you have shut Joanna's door behind her you turn to Nita, "So are we going to talk about what happened back there?"

"I know!" Nita widens her eyes, "She totally pissed herself! How awkward was that!"

"Uh huh. Normally that would be the lede story of that encounter. But what about the lights going out and those creepy voices?"

Nita stops and stares at you, "What?"

"Wait, you didn't notice that?"

"Well it didn't happen so..."

You feel sick. That book did something, you're sure of it. "I need to pee. Now!" You blurt.

"So go pee." Nita shrugs.

That night you are working on your Latvia assignment and trying not to think about "The Book" when Nita walks into your room without knocking. "Hey! How come you aren't ready?" She is unimpressed.

You look at her blankly.

"Alex's party? You promised you'd come." She is emphatic. Nitaesque.

You don't really feel like a party. And Alex is a douche. But maybe it'd help get your mind off things... And keep Nita onside.
