About This File

This is my mod to the classic game Melissa Explains it All. It began as a couple of tweaks to @ForgetAboutMe's 4.2 but since then grew into its own thing.

Key features:

  • The game returns to its roots as one strictly focused on female desperation/wetting with your date as a star of the show. All features and content not in line with this vision was removed (ex. Player Bladder feature, male desperation events, the ability to ditch your girl in favor of random NPCs);
  • The game recognizes its nature as a desperation sandbox, rather than forcing you into a goal of getting your date in bed with a full bladder;
  • New diuretic system - each drink now has a certain diuretic value which influences how fast her bladder fills up, with the value adding up for multiple different drinks and decaying over time;
  • New Buddy Favor system - added replayability in the form of one of the additional 12 possible scenarios before the date, each having a meaningful impact over the gameplay and narrative;
  • Break the Seal feature - the option to simulate her muscle exhaustion by lowering her bladder capacity by 10% every time she pees or wets herself;
  • New content and events, such as the holding challenge (replaces the drinking game), the ability to pull over at the gas station for her to the use the toilet, the ability to see her peeing outside one of the major venues and others;
  • The girls are different from one another not only in terms of bladder capacity, but also shyness, attraction and how much they can drink;
  • And more!

What's New in Version 29.10.2021

Released

The game now comes in two variants:

1) "Classic" version - this one uses the traditional yellow background and comes with no custom images. Good for those who like the old scheme and willing to use their own images.

2) "Biku" version - this ones uses the new white style and comes with some images, drawn by the great Biku specifically for the game. It doesn't have all the images though, feel free to commission him for more.

Also, fixed the "her dress has ridden up" desperation text appearing at the emergency level when she would actually be wearing jeans.

That's valid feedback already due to how the elevator scene received much love in the mod and seeing it requires being invited home in the first place. Here's how it currently works.

Translated from Elvish, this means you need the attraction of 100 and also visited at least 3 locations, two of them being club and make-out spot and the last one can be either movies or the bar.

Attraction is honestly not problematic to achieve anymore:

  • Flirting was rebalanced for more consistency, so should yield more attraction now in general, same for movies and the club (kissing, feeling up and the like)
  • Choosing a venue she suggested now also yields some attraction points
  • You can now gift her the earrings in the beginning for a solid attraction boost
  • Some girls start with additional attraction points as their feature

As for the venue requirement, I could theoretically decrease the number to 2 venues - i.e. movies/bar/club AND the make-out spot. There is, however, a requirement of 40 attraction for her to agree to go to the make-out spot, and that is not always achievable in a single place.

Another consideration is the champagne that's needed to be bought for that ending, and this requirement is not really communicated to the player in any way. Maybe something should be done about it as well.

Hmm.. If i may suggest,

If the "ex-boyfriend" is selected, maybe it would be better if her responses could be more suited to her "liking" to hold?

currently the lines are the same as the standard

List of everything that was changed compared to standard experience:

Also, what are the chances of ending up on the beach while "walking" at the make-out spot? I tried 5 times and got the yard 5 times

 

Lastly, for the ex-boyfriend option, should her shyness not go back up?

I'll have to think about how to best introduce this, without it turning into a dialogue and respecting the pacing of the game.

Translated from Elven, after 5 cycles (or 10 in-game minutes) of walking you should get the option to investigate the open gate. If shyness is lower than 30 AND attraction is higher than 75 at the same time, it leads to the yard, otherwise it leads to the beach. Current requirements might indeed make it problematic to ever reach the beach if you overdid it with "feel her up" and similar activities before the makeout spot.

Shyness is essentially a value that dictates whether she'd bring up the issue of needing to go and the like. At very high shyness it is possible for her to even wet herself without ever mentioning her need to you once - and she'll deny it if you ask her about it.

Logically, if she's submissive (i.e. into holding it to please her partner) and/or certain actions are taken like asking her to take a diuretic or eat a watermelon, shyness does not apply anymore - she knows you'd very much like to hear about her predicament. As such, her shyness value is decreased drastically or even set to 0 outright.

Shyness can only go down in the most cases as a result of interacting with her. It would only go up in limited cases ex. you asked her about / tried to do something that she is already too shy to answer or agree to. Some examples:

  • if you ask her on the phone whether she wants to pee right now, and her shyness is over 80, it increases by 5;
  • if you fail the hard/agressive flirting attempt, her shyness increases by 10;
  • if she wets herself, she gets a heavy shyness increase (the numbers depend on where it took place);
  • if she's unhappy with you feeling her up, or trying to check if she's really dry, it increases by 10 (by 5 for failed kissing).

Yeah.. I understand.. Which is my question about if she has is submissive towards you, there stands no reason for her to "suddenly" become shy right?

Or at least when she wets herself it should not go up again. Since she knows what she got herself into

Ah yes, I see how you mean now! I added this little master check on every cycle to address this:

If she's submissive, it will make sure to default her shyness to 0 every time, no matter what action (which would otherwise bring the shyness up) was taken.

Does this works on mobile i tried to open the html file the game opens with no problem but when i click to continue there is just the stats bar with nothing else how can i fix this?

Downscale it to what the game's css can support. Anything beyond 270x400 and there's no guarantees it'll work and/or won't break the game.

I recall already pointing out in FAM's thread that I've no plans of including anything like that:

- "extreme desperation" (which you understand as holding it for several days) is pretty much a fantasy and as such out of place for a game that strives for realism;

- the game was never designed to have enough length/content to accommodate themes like that;

- this is not something I'm personally fond of, which means I would not be able to deliver satisfactory content for this theme.
