SYNOPSYS

This is a world known as Gaia, in honor to the Goddess who created the land and gave life to creatures inhabiting in it. In Gaia, we follow the story of Kriemhild, a country located in the main continent of this world and the house for a number of personalities that were involved in a short, world-scaled war that lasted ten years. However, the scars of this war are still very present after a few years, and a wicked character has his mind set in causing chaos and destruction in order to serve a purpose which is yet unknown to his victims. It falls into the hands of the people in Kriemhild to stop him, including a young girl named Solveig, who has recently become a knight and is determined to help the country that saved her and gave her a place to call home.

GAME FEATURES

This is a classic, old school JRPG-style with a few MMORPG-like functionalities seasoned with an engine that enables omorashi characteristics and events, including, but not limited to:

  • Desperation System and standarized omorashi events
  • Visual Novel-like special scenes.
  • Sandbox-like free exploration of both countries of Kardia and Kriemhild with 50+ overworld maps to explore plus 10+ dungeons to visit.

What's New in Version 5.1.0

Released

Main Udate: Chapter 9

Story Content:

  • Chapter 9 of the Main Story has been added, including 3 new special scenes.

Gameplay Content:

  • Elemental weaknesses/resistances now stack, combining all of the multiplier into one depending on the target's affinity (e.g. if an attacker has imbued the elements of Darkness and Explosion and attacks an enemy weak to them both, the damage will be multiplied by those two multipliers instead of only picking the biggest one). However, two elements of the same category will not combine (if imbued with Water and Ice, only the latter will be taken into account; same for resistances). If at the end of resistance calculation an enemy is immune to an element (multiplier would become 0) but suceptible to neutral element (Slash or Blunt), that enemy will still take damage equal to half of their suceptibility to the neutral element.
  • Guard revamp: Certain enemies are now able to use the Guard command to reduce their damage received. However, Guard can be broken when receiving damage at a chance (moreover, there are skills and passives that completely ignore or break guard upon attacking).
  • Turn-based effects have been revised: instead of turn-based effects only taking place at the start of each turn, they are now divided in effects that take place at the start OR at the end of each turn (such as countdown for Aura buffs).
  • Elemental affinity experience revamp: changed the method to calculate elemental experience when using Special Skills or Offensive Spells to scale better with the current elemental level in regard to the enemy's level, making it easier for lower level elements to gain experience when facing enemies with higher levels. Moreover, elemental experience will be granted upon each successful hit on each enemy. Moreover, Skills and Spells that result in a Critical Hit will grand double the experience for that hit.
  • New items added to the Alchemist Store roster: Orb Items are new consumables that can be used in battle (a handful of these were already available before, but new ones have been implemented and improved). Effects of these items include Tier 3 Offensive Spells of all elements and special buffs that are unavailable elsewhere.
  • New passive skills have been added to the leveling roster in the Shrine of Goroma Mountain with the NPC Elena (provided that the sidequest Crossfire has been cleared).

Skill Changes:

  • Solveig will now automatically enter the Guard status when using Shield-based offensive skills (Shield Bash, Shield Chain, Titan Rush).
  • Solveig's Gaia Slash skill can now inflict Helpless on its target at a chance. This chance is increased if Solveig's Physical Defense is higher than the target's.
  • Solveig's Fragarach skill will now be used at the end of the turn in case she did not receive any damage. Moreover, if the skill is triggered normally (as a counter), the target will have a very high chance of becoming Stunned on hit.
  • Hecate's Alla Marcia skills' damage has been increased. However, Alla Marcia - Finale can no longer be activated on its own and strictly requires the first two movements to be used in succession.
  • Aria's Leaf Blade skill's effect has been revised: Critical Hit Chance increase has been increased and a Critical Hit Damage increase effect has been added.
  • Aria's Moonlight Slash skill now has a Critical Hit Chance increase and a Critical Hit Damage increase effect.
  • Aria's Electrolink skill's effect has been revised: MP Refund effect will happen if the target is Critically Hit instead of being Defeated. Moreover, MP Refund effect has been increased and now scales further depending on the skill's Mastery Level.
  • Aria's Quasar Cannon skill can no longer hit multiple enemies if the first target is Defeated during the first four hits of the skill.

Visual Changes:

  • A gauge has been added in the main status menu just under "Total Experience in Next Level" showing progress towards that level.
  • In the ID Cardex section of the status menu, each elemental affinity now has a gauge depicting the progress towards each elemental affinity's next level.
  • Elemental Experience gained during battle can now be seen during the battle results' victory screen.

Omorashi Content:

  • Scenes from Chapters 8 and 9 have been updated in the Replay Room (provided that said chapters have been cleared).
  • Two new NPC scenes have been added (requires Chapter 9 to clear). One can be found in the Kriemhild Royal Castle, while the other can be found listed in the Embassy Building's Task List.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue causing Aura Buffs to last less than intended (consuming extra turns in battle for no reason).
  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash when leveling passive skills beyond level 3.

Greetings to everyone, and an apology for being out of touch for a bit of a long time there when so many comments were being posted. I've been struggling a little with a few health issues for a few months now that aggraviated since mid february, but are starting to get progressively better (though I'm still not completely out of them and may still need more tests/medical checks done). For the time being however I'll remain actively posting and replying to anyone who has questions/doubts about the game that other players can't respond (unless they're big spoilers).

Moreover, I'd like to announce that a new update should be arriving within a few weeks that will include the next story chapter and a couple new mechanics, special scenes and more goodies to get out there. Hand to hand with this news I want to further announce that we're temptatively releasing a patreon not only for the game, but for our projects as a whole (including our other game Las Pipiaventuras de Penny, of course); I don't want to give full spoilers of what the patreon will include, but be prepared for some good rewards.

Finally, I'll be checking and addressing recent comments shortly. Cheers to everyone, and thanks for the support!

So yeah, TL;DR, is there a wiki, and could I have a world map?

Both things will be worked on soon, the latter probably as a patreon goal

Hey, think I found a bug. In the bandit fortress, there's a door that needs a key in order to go through it. I get a key from a bandit woman.

This key is used (I believe this is the same key I have in mind) later on to access the second floor of the Torhild Fortress (AKA bandit guild/bandit fortress). I'm not sure if the second floor door is locked both by the key and quest progression, but you'll know how to get there when the time is right. PROMISE.

Also, some skills/spells aren't listed anywhere in either the skill or spellbooks. There's Wind Affinity, on Sol and Lilly, Wind Affinity - Magic, exclusive to Lilly, Phantom Lightning on Sol, two things called Smash Strike on Hecate, and Sand Tomb on Hecate. Also odd, I have the description of the Genesis spell unlocked, enen though Hecate, the only one who can learn it, doesn't meet the requirements for it.

Thank you for pointing it, I'm going to look into it; all of the tutorial/skill/spell books were made a bit of in a hurry, so I totally believe I might've messed up a thing or two

Where can I find Giant Spiders and Tiger Ants if the names are right that they drop mana eggs?

Giant Spider and Ant Lion are boss monsters that spawn in the northern woods of Kriemhild and in different areas of the desert in Kardia's overworld maps respectively; though good to point out, all boss monsters drop mana eggs

Does anyone know the location and/or monsters that drop "rare metal dust" please, i've searched seemingly everywhere and haven't been able to find any. I need 2 for a side quest.

Rare Metal Dust is dropped by a handful of monsters, Block/Metal being the easiest ones to find; you can farm them in the underground tunnels of Kriemhild

Hello I'm at the part where Lily is doing the exam, I've figured out how to get the garden scene and the wetting scene but there's 3 more i know of, how do I get them? Please answer and thanks

Don't worry too much about getting them all right away; later in the game when you unlock the replay system, you can see all of them without having to unlock them

Will that go for all the scenes in the game? I'm not really a completionist and some of the scenes may be hard to find and unlock, so it would be really nice to have an option or a way to see all the scenes in in the replay system without having to unlock them.

Hi there

Could you look in the replay system. There are some scenes that gives black screen during the replay.

Some of them are from lily's exam scenes.

Heya. this isn't anything major, but i just want some clarification on something. i have a weird item in my inventory that shows up as a blank space and i can select it, which takes me to the character page. it denies me from using it no matter what i do, which makes me think it might be a placeholder item for something. im not sure how long ive had it... but ill attach my save file so you can look into it.

I have been playing this game a long time, like... before it got re-uploaded, i finally got back into it recently because i had some... free time lol. There ARE some things (ok, a lot of things) that I want to say about the game. From thoughts, to ideas, balancing issues, bugs, etc.

Now i have zero right to call myself a game designer, since i never made one before, but I do know that there are a few things that are able to be fixed... hopefully

And with that rant out of the way, here is everything so far (no particular order btw)

-Rilhenna's art is different from everyone else and it bugs me. There is a scene where there is art that matches all the other characters, but I want it to be everywhere because OCD.

-Please let me have the ability to buy Saint Quartz in bulk because it is very annoying and tedious to constantly buy them individually.

-The Bathroom in the Capital doesn't work (bottom left section in the park)

-This may be minor, but there are quite a few spelling errors. there might be a program where it checks the spelling of words for you (don't quote me on that, please).

-Not sure if there is a place for this, but i would like it if there was a place where you could specifically buy monster drops.

-Not a fan of the "Out Of Bounds" secrets. in my personally opinion, they feel like im genuinely breaking the game/abusing code. i know it is there for a reason... but it feels so wrong and breaks the immersion.

-Aria's Uniform is assigned to the shoes slot lmao.

-Howl beats wolves... not important, just thought that was funny.

-PLEASE go over the texts in the chests, it sometimes says i got 322 health pots in a chest... why??

-There was a sortof major bug that i found, but i can't recreate. basically i put some gold in the bank (around 500k or so) and i then reloaded the save file w/o saving, my gold was gone... not in the bank nor my inv. I couldn't recreate it... but I just wanted to note that.

-If you access the thieves' hideout basement right after you get Hecate, none of the monsters spawn there, except for the Bat Lords. This, of course, is op. I literally got a tier 3 level 10 enhancement scroll and sold that for 10 mil gold... may not have been the best choice, but you get my point.

-I found an infinite for farming water levels. it's in the hand of destruction temple. the healing circle thingy there doesn't fully heal you, it just sets your hp to max... up to 1,046... so if you have someone with a max hp value of 1,047+ then it will ignore that and just set it to 1,046 even if your current hp is higher. and i assume it also works for mp too... so yeah.

-I want an almanac of sorts for monsters, and all i want in it are Monsters, their names, what they drop, and where they can be found.

-just here to complain that Arrow Rain EX doesn't deal 20k dmg at level 27 anymore... rip machine gun.

-you can't see the hidden items in the snow.

-as far as i know, the passive for being hydrated never... goes away, even if you are DEhydrated.

And that's about it. Once again i am by no means a game developer, and i understand that nobody is perfect. the past year especially has been rough, so keep taking it easy. I genuinely love this game and i can't wait to see how it improves.

So this is one more thing i forgot to mention, during most of (if not all) the cutscenes with the automatic desperation events, Even when one of the girls is relieving themselves, it will still overlap with them being desperate; most frequently happens when they are bursting. my idea is to maybe put a cutscene placeholder for them so that nothing overlaps during those events? (once again im not a game designer, so i dont even know if that is possible)

There is one more thing that i want to talk about; balancing. i am testing out more things to see what my thoughts are on moves/items, and i'll go more into that. this IS an rpg at the end of the day, so i want to give my thoughts on it from a player perspective. im gonna list off what i feel needs changed, and explain my reasoning.

First off, buffs:

Hecate's Tarot card "the Chariot". It is great early on, but it literally has close to 0 dmg growth. at lvl 75 and every spell attribute at lvl 50, it doesn't even do 2k dmg, making it useless. I feel like at that level, it needs to do at least 5-7k. It really needs that buff.

Lily's "Rapid Strafe". It does low dmg even when at EX mastery. the default attack almost does as much as it. I feel like it needs to do 1.5x more dmg for it to be viable at all.

Solveig's "V-Slash". same issue as Rapid Strafe, i propose the same solution.

Etheral Spells: God, it does so little damage considering how much HP you sacrifice for it, i feel like it needs to be at least double its current dmg for it to be justified. Arrow Rain with Shadow Arrows does more than Etheral Cathedral, a move that you use 1/4 of your max hp for... that is not ok.

Now for the Nerfs:

Hecate's Tarot card "Wheel of Fortune". Its just a slightly worse Earth Crystal, It shouldn't give every single buff. Even if it has a 6 turn cooldown, you can use your other spells that it has prepped you to use. I say it only does 5 random stats to give it reason to NOT go for it every single time.

the Wyvern Weapons... you can get them SUPER early and they aren't even that hard to get. I got them at lvl 17-ish and finally found better equipment at LEVEL 55... I think you know what to do.

Fire Crystal. It insta-kills EVERYTHING, even the Bat Lords. I say it does 100-200k and not have an insta-kill effect.

There is 1 more thing i believe needs changed if possible. Have the lvl requirements for the potions only need to be met in battle. that's kinda the whole point of them, good in battle. It doesn't hurt if you can use them in the overworld, just not in combat and such.

And thats about it for now. I've been leaving comment after comment so i kinda feel bad if it seems like pestering, but i REALLY want to relay my thoughts on this because i just love it and want to see this game progress and grow.

Anyways, i hope you have a good day.

How did this happen?

(EDIT, URGENT): IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE FIXED SAVE DATA I SENT, DON'T USE IT. IT WILL PROBABLY MAKE YOUR GAME CRASH. I would explain what's wrong, but it involves a huge spoiler. I know this is a big, big killer and a nuisance, but try to navigate using the minimap. I'm really sorry for this, but there's something being worked on in the game that renders me impossible to give you a fixed version of this right now!

For some reason I have yet to decipher (probably a slip I had when I first started working on the game like 6 years ago when I was still new to RPG Maker) some items appear in the inventory and refuse to leave (I've tried eliminating them through automatic events, but they end up coming back). My guess is that this is one of them. I'd deal with it if I knew how, trust me.

Can't do exactly that. There will be, however, a merchant somewhere that will sell a limited, selected number of these from time to time. Otherwise getting these for the late game weapons would be far too easy.

There is only one of these in the whole game, and it happens at the very first chapter. Other than this, there are only some "invisible" walls and structure shenanigans here and there

Aaah you're going to see more of this soon. Because of the code to modify equipment slots, sometimes

Spoiler

(and it will happen again very soon with a new feature that is being added)

the equipment pieces overlap with the equipment slots and get a bit messed up. This always gets fixed by re-equipping anything regardless of the target slot

A wizard did it. Or, more importantly, some shenanigan in the code did it. I'll make sure to check this out tho

That sounds very serious; if you can recreate it, do let me know. Gold is saved in a variable within an array that is linked to the save file directly. If that's somehow able to screw itself up, I should look into it to prevent it from doing so; but first I'd need to know how to recreate the thing as a whole

Oh boy. Thank you for pointing this out lol. I've made a fix about that just now. Also, that item is actually very very rare (which is why it's so costly). Roughly, you have at about 1% chance of getting that in every golden chest deep in difficult dungeons (gold chests are also the rarest, as you can imagine)

I used to have a limiter that didn't allow elemental levels to be higher than each girl's base level, but I decided to take it off. This is abusable, yes, but it takes a huge amount of time to abuse if you want a very high water level. You can get about 60~100? water experience every minute this way. Let's take a milestone level to make a comparison; level 60 of any elemental attribute needs 7200 EXP points of said element; so, assuming fast inputs, it would take about one clean hour of doing this nonstop to get level 60 of just one girl's water attribute, which translates to 240 extra HP and 15 extra MAG and MDF as well as 30% bonus damage to Ice and Nature spells and skills (60% bonus damage in the singular case of Hecate's Aqua Blast and 15% bonus damage to Holy and Dark element skills). This isn't game breaking imo, and all RPGs have little quirks that can be abused by people who is determined to be strong on them. So if you want to make use of this in order to make your girls stronger, you have my full blessing.

A bestiary is going to make its way to the game. It's a tough process, but it's already started. I'll continue working on it when other features are ready to go as well

This is a RPG maker quirk thing with pop-up events. I've tried to look into it, but I can't seem to make anything work in order to prevent it (fun fact, if I change some parallel processes to working manually with other controls, the game runs more smoothly for a few seconds, then freezes and crashes; it's like RPG maker itself doesn't want me to fix this issue lol)

the Wyvern Weapons

If you can get yourself a Wyvern Fang/Wyvern Wing as early as levels 15~25, you are blessed. The drop rate of these weapons is quite low; and what's more, the wyverns scale up in power as you level up, which makes it progressively harder to farm them if you didn't get better weapons in time. It is a luck based thing, yes, but those are always factors in RPGs like this. Moreover, the story mode's difficulty has been adjusted so that it's not too hard for casual players who just want to see the omo here and there; I see you like RPGs as much as I do, for which I encourage you to seek what's beyond the story and explore the optional dungeons. Once you've cleared chapter 5, pay Baratang Volcano a visit.

Fire Crystal.

Fire Crystals are --perhaps not extremely rare, but-- very rare. The only way to get them is either through special quests (which only give you a single, or up to three at most) or dropping them from bosses or epic monsters, the latter having a very low drop rate just like Water and Earth Crystals do. Using them to get Dragons out of the way is completely understandable

A few bugs I've found:

The maid in the castle that says she gives you the white mittens actually doesn't

In chapter 3 during the keystone sequence the three crystal room right hand door can bring you to the one crystal room right hand door, rather than the left hand one.

The dehydrated debuff isn't removed when drinking from Lily's house, at least from Hecate

The bathroom entrance in the capital doesn't work, yes the one in your picture.
