you say it would be best to wait for the full version, do you know when that will be out, and will it be free to download? (assuming this is you game)

The full version is scheduled to be delivered free of charge.

The author is currently making an enormous amount of music files. It looks like it still takes time.
It will be completed at least within this year.

Most of the game itself has already been completed and 80% of the illustrations are implemented.

Do you care about illustrations? Look through the Picture file in the Graphics file.

@Raging Salmon

The demo version of Mojique was translated by members of the Omo.org community. As far as I understand it, there has been some preliminary translation effort being done on the newest version. I don't think a translated version will be in the works until the 100% version of the game comes out.

So, to answer your question; a translated version won't be out for a long time, probably. The full version of the game is scheduled to release "sometime this year-ish".

Also! For anyone who wants to play this game but can't read Japanese, you can use a text hooker (a thing that gets text from the game and makes it into text that you can put into a translator)

I use ITH, but it was 100 years since I installed it, so I don't really remeber where I got it. A quick google search got me this https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/8239-how-to-install-and-run-untranslated-visual-novel-text-hooking-tools/ I didn't really check if this guide still had working links or anything, so maybe it's useless or gives you a virus, who knows!

This lets you play the game and kind of understand what's going on. I was able to play through the entire thing without a guide, woo! The translation will be insanely choppy, but it's workable, kinda.

I really hope this will be available in english soon. I'm waiting since summer 2015, and from what i see, i'm not the only one. This game is just too good, it's waited more than The Elder Scrolls 6 xD

@Fatal push

Based on my previous experience with RPGmaker, it seems that it's complaining it can't find the title splash (I attached the image below). This makes sense, the game will obviously crash if it tries to load the opening splash, but can't.

There are then two possible reasons for this I can think of:

  1. The title splash does not exist. I find this very unlikely, but go check the folder (Titles), and see if the file I uploaded is in it just to safe. It should be the only file in the folder. If you do not find the file where it should be, adding the file I attached might help.
  2. The game can't find game assets for some reason. This is much more likely to be the problem. Probably, because of some text symbol issues; and if that's the case, it's probably because of locales.

Here's how I would recommend you try to solve problem #2, since that's probably what's wrong.

Step 1: make absolutely sure you have the japanese locale. Use this screenshot if you're unsure if you have it on or not: https://www.omorashi.org/screenshots/monthly_08_2014/7d21c9cb55bb2b63093d0cd14d29e243-locale-settings.png

Step 2: Restart you computer. (Keep in mind that for the locale to switch in the first place, the computer needs to restart)

Step 3: Re-download Mojiquest, to a different folder. (Make sure you do this after the locale has been changed, and the computer restarted)
