About This File

You play a student called Reguma who wakes up in a strange world filled with monsters. After escaping to the nearest town, you run into one of your classmates, nicknamed Hamuko. For some weird reason, Hamuko has the power to fight the monsters! You travel around with her and battle and meet some other classmates, and team up to try and figure out how to get back to your homeworld!

Description shamelessly stolen from Riablog ^_^.

Basically, it's this thing, but now it's completely translated and ready to be played by those who couldn't enjoy the original japanese version to the full extent. If you didn't realize it already, this game is made by 青くらげ, the one who made a 210 pages long manga Tokonatsu!Hamuko-chan, which is the longest desperation manga I’ve ever seen so far. If you didn’t see it yet, go and read it right now. Now there is a game centered on the same characters, and even the demo rivals the biggest of currently released games in terms of playtime, diversity of events and – most importantly – custom-made content.

So go play it! NOW!

System Requirements

RPG Maker XP RTP. If you ask me where to get it, I'll kill you redirect you to the frist link Google gives you.

Japanese system locale. Last screenshot shows how to set it up. Locale emulators should probably work too.

Hi, i know i'm stressful, but, can you just translate the current version (wich is almost the full game)? Because i think the final version will take a lot of time to be released, and the actual version seems to be amazing. Honestly i can't speak japanese at all (and neither english is my first language), so unfortunately i can't do anything.

I know it's hardly my business to weigh in on the matter of whether or not to translate the current latest version, seeing as I'm not in a position to help that potential translation along very much (I could and would be willing to do QC, but my knowledge of Japanese is incomplete and purely oratory so I'd need access to rough/direct translations to make sure the meaning of the original is accurately represented in the English script), but I thought I'd offer a word or few of commentary from the standpoint of a game designer.

I'm a disabled NEET whose very day has been more free time than not constantly since before I started my most recent game project, Angels and Demons. For me, when I'm putting in several hours for game design a day consistently, comparable to or exceeding that of an average person's standard work shift... to finish everything needed to make one minor update, it still takes weeks or possibly even a month (mainly because I tend to redesign certain systems pretty much every time). A major update like the one I'm currently working on, even if I didn't have the five month progress impediment that I've been dealing with up until a few days ago since December, would still take me at least three or four months to produce if I avoided working myself half to death.

Aoi Kurage, the game designer doing this game, to my knowledge, most likely does not have the amount of free time that I do, or anything close to it. They probably have a job to keep. Working on this game is almost certainly a hobby for the guy. And to add to that, his updates are in a completely separate league from mine in terms of content volume and quality, not to mention his absurdly low bug rate betraying lots of debugging. So even if he's working twice as efficiently as I am (which is improbable, but not impossible), even if the speed at which he gets things done is four times that of mine (something which statistically is entirely possible), it will still probably take him longer to release the final version than it does me to release a major update of my own, simply because of the free time disparity.

In other words, I will be genuinely surprised if the final version is out before the last days of autumn. It'll probably be close, though. With that in mind, my position on whether this version should be translated is this: if you think you can translate it in less than half the time of my somewhat expert (emphasis on somewhat, I'm sure as hell not an analyst) projection for the final version's update time frame, it's probably worth doing, if only so people will stop spamming this comment section with requests for it. But if not, then it's probably wise to just wait it out, because to have the update come earlier than expected right in the middle of translating this one would kinda suck and would have a few annoying potential consequences, and the longer it takes you, the more real the possibility of that scenario becomes.

Those are my two cents. I mainly threw them in the ring because I'm a little tired of getting notifications every time someone asks for a translation, but I don't necessarily want to unfollow this game, lest I forget about it by the time the next patched version is released. Ultimately, my word doesn't mean a whole lot, but I felt like getting it out of my system. What say you, Lisk? I mean, aside from the obvious commentary that I'm too wordy.

Due to the way RPG Maker operates, and also due to the fact that some scenes can (and, as we see in the latest release, will) be changed, translating the plot part of the current version would be very ineffective. But there is a thing that can be done now and will have to be done anyway: interface and picture translation. MojiKue's custom interface heavily relies on pictures with text (as opposed to message boxes), so editing those takes more time than translating the plain text. So that's what I've decided to work on as we wait for the final version.

Also, GUTS.

Honestly, my favorite character is Saotome, because he is basically the straight man of every comedic duo in the entire game, and thus he keeps the entire cast grounded in reality... think about how quickly things get derailed just when he's not speaking much, and then consider how crazy things would get between the various characters if he were simply not there... and while some of that would undoubtedly be funny, it would get old after a while (one could argue that Nyanko would fill the role, but she's too easily derailed for that to work very well), and then the other parts would just leave you going "the fuck just happened?" from the get go. In other words, if you're at all looking for sanity and humor in this game, Saotome is kind of essential.

Plus, the sheer intensity of his hikikomori nature makes him a funny character in his own right, if I'm remembering it right. Been a while since I last played, but I'm pretty sure the guy was antisocial and dense to an amusing degree.

Exactly, i'm curious to see how he will relate with the new characters and events!

Worry not, he's just being his original self as the shine of the new girls gets more and more carats!

I just noticed that some days ago was the 3rd "birthday" of MojiQue. 3 years later, many of us are still here to follow the development of this game. I've personally played some amazing omo games, like Aquarius, The Sanguinary emissary, 12 fanatics and others, but none of those got me like Mojique. So i would like to ask: can this game be the best omo rpg ever made?

It's definitely up there, although I think it's certainly the most innovative. To be honest, it puts every project I've ever done to shame, and that includes Angels and Demons.

AAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! This is so frustrating! This game seems awesome but I can't seem to get it to run. I just get an error message with a whole bunch of squares before and after the phrase "Graphics/Titles". I've tried all the fixes in the comments so far but nothing has worked. Can anyone help me please?

I don't know much about how to get it to run. But there is a blog for those problems: http://mojikue-unofficial.tumblr.com/
