Entry Three: Not Dedicated to the Ghost

I'm having writer's block with TToaS, so I saved this chapter just in case it didn't clear up. I guess it didn't. but here's this while I try to figure out the rest of that chapter.

----

It's Monday now, and I hadn't written Sunday because nothing really interesting happened (the highlights were homework and food). The ghost stayed silent and out of my way, so I really couldn't ask for more.

Oh, I was really angry with the ghost Saturday, so I didn't really feel like taking the time to draw it correctly. Here is what it (more or less) looks like. You can only really see the outline of it, so it's a little difficult to see unless I know where it is.

So what you're looking at is a spirit that appears to be evaporating, yet quickly getting back its existence just as it loses some. It can go through objects if it forces itself, but it usually doesn't do that unless it's trying to annoy me. Its mouth doesn't even exist unless it starts speaking, it's so creepy. Yeah, I dunno how I'll draw it again, but I'll make it obvious that it's a ghost. Heck, I might just draw it different every time.

But the ghost doesn't need that much attention. After all, I'm the only one really doing anything. It's just floating around asking questions. It could sense its uselessness too, because wouldn't you know, the day I get a test, that phantom is looking up answers and shouting them out to me. Just its constant talking... I thought that what I suffered from was incontinence, but that ethereal being... I just hate its constant pestering!

Okay, now I'm really giving it too much attention, so I'll just talk about how my day has gone (keeping that thing out of it as much as possible). So I woke up with a wet diaper (totally expected that) and my mom stopped by my room. She's usually not awake, as I usually wake myself up and walk to school (my school is just a couple blocks down the rode, and mom says I can't drive because I need my exercise...) Today I realized that some things would be much more different than normal, especially when my mom changed my diaper and said, "You should change it if it gets close to leaking, you don't want to have another one leak in class."

I just rolled my eyes and got my clothes on. I noticed that all of my skirts were longer than normal, most likely because I'd need them longer to help hide my diaper. So this change really wasn't pulling any punches, even with my wardrobe. I simply put a long pink one on with a red shirt, and I placed a pink jacket over my shoulders to keep the chilly end-of-winter air at bay. My backpack was filled up with all my books and folders, although I was wondering why my mother wasn't pestering me about not bringing a diaper. I guessed that she just assumed I would stop by the nurse or something, but I didn't know. I took the five minute walk to school as usual, and, as usual, ended up in my first class of the day way earlier than I really should be.

What was different was that, first block being P.E. (a class I definitely don't need (I'm not fat! One-eleven is not fat!),) I expected to be forced to get changed and do some workouts. My teacher, however, stopped me when she saw that I walking to the locker room. "What are you doing Isabelle? You're sitting out, as always."

I practically jumped with joy at this! Sitting out? As always? That meant I didn't have P.E.!... Oh wait, I do... I'm just not DOING anything in it. Ugh...

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I don't have to do anything during P.E., especially since I still had to when I had my lazy eye, but just sitting around working on homework that wasn't due in a week was rather boring. I could be doing something else with my time. Next time I'll probably bring this notebook, but I'll have to be extra careful nobody tries to take it from me... but on second thought nobody would do that. ...Although just to be safe, I'll stay a bit farther away from everyone so I have a little more time to see if anyone's coming.

(A complicated map, I know, but a useful one none the less.)

Well, going through my backpack some more revealed something I really wasn't expecting. Hidden underneath all of my stuff was a big, white diaper. I was taken aback by this, but I quickly covered it back up, just in case anyone came close. Nobody did, but... you know, seeing something like that makes one jump, and I'm a little surprised nobody went to see what was the matter. Anyways, P.E. continued uneventfully, and I went to my next few classes, which were (besides my second class having the cheating incident I mentioned earlier) mostly uneventful. Mostly.

So you remember how I wrote down that my mother mentioned something about my diaper leaking? Well, I guess I kinda forgot about that, and during passing period I felt something warm trickling from my leg to the floor. I froze as I realized what was happening, but there was nothing I could do. I simply pulled myself into a restroom as I tried my best to stop it (guess how well that worked). You know, maybe walking into a restroom with pee going down my leg in the middle of passing period wasn't one of my better ideas today. One girl I had begun to despise was there. She's called "The worst person on earth", although she convinces people her name is Alissa. If you look at her name backwards, you can already tell she's an ass. Well, that's what I thought of her before, but Well, she's not as bad as I thought, but let me finish what happened.

She had been standing in the restroom when I ran in, and she smirked before approaching me. "Ah, is the poor baby peeing herself? I thought babies like you wore diapers." she asked, her rather large ego sticking out. Alissa had acted much the same way when I had a lazy eye, so I expected her to act rather similarly when I became incontinent. She's pretty much one of those people that loves hating the disabled, being perfect as she was.

It's hard to admit this, especially since this is my own writing and all, but the ghost was rather helpful. He told me before everyone had their own pluses and minuses, so when I looked at him, he got the idea I wanted to know her minuses. After he told me, I placed my hands on my hip, trying to be as intimidating as a girl peeing through a flooded diaper can be. "Don't act so high and mighty, we both know you have your own problems."

"Hah, the baby's trying to back-talk me?"

"Well, I guess you don't need help on the test you'll be taking tomorrow?"

She only grew angrier, and of course, she went to denying. "I don't need anyone's help, I'm already going to ace it."

"You have to or your rich father will get angry, right?"

Alissa stood there, mouth agape. "H-h-how did y-you know that?" She then gulped. "H-how much do you know?"

"Oh, just enough to know you won't like sitting down Friday if you slip up, because Thursday is when you'll get the grade back."

Alissa's other friends showed up, asking what all the noise was before they saw me. They asked if she needed any help, but Alissa said she wanted to handle this alone. They left, and she got up really close to me. Like, I could smell her cheap perfume she always sprayed on herself. "Please, if there's something that you need me to do to keep you from saying that, I swear I'll do it."

I looked her back in the eyes. Blackmail was the first thought that came to mind, but that ethereal being beside me's creepy aura was hanging over me like a thick blanket. It was as if he was radiating his disapproval through his being. Could the same thing have happened to him while he was alive? Either way, I had already lost my appetite for such action. Somehow, I decided to do something else I normally wouldn't have. "Study with me tonight."

She reacted as she honestly should have. Taking a pace back, she looked at me as if I were crazy. "Study? Why would you of all people want to study with me?"

"Well, I realized that it's better to get some of my enemies on my side, that way I have less of them, and more friends."

"Things aren't all smiley, just a simple happy-ending like you're trying to make it seem like, you know. I mean, what reason do I have for not just letting you spread the word and denying it?"

"Because you and I both know if you don't study the right way, your friends will be able to tell the rumors would be true when they see you try to take a seat Friday."

I could have sworn she was getting angry, but her expression changed too quickly to see what it was. "Fine," she submitted. "see me at my house an hour after school today, here's my address." She handed me a business card she seemed to be carrying around. It also had her phone number, so that meant I could call her and stuff. We went our separate ways (me into a stall and her right out the door) and there was nothing else important except the agreement.

I couldn't help but oblige. I mean, since it was an hour after school, I knew she was going to have to share dinner with me. The dinner was amazing (expensive too), and her parents, while they seemed super strict, were nice when I told them I had come over to help her study. It was rather boring work, but I think we both are going to ace the test with how much we studied. In fact, I had told my mother to bring my stuff, because I'm actually sleeping over with her. I think once she realized I wasn't going to feed her wrong answers, she let me in subconsciously. I think that's how it is, because when I switched into my nightdress, she once or twice gave a glimpse at my diaper, and she didn't laugh or even cringe. She almost seems like a friend, but I'll need more time to decide that for myself. At this point, she'd probably deny it anyways.
Note to Self: Don't talk to her during school in case her friends show up.

Before you get any ideas, I'm sleeping over because she wanted to study late, and my mother didn't feel like picking me up this late. Whatever else you're thinking of, wipe it out of your mind. Anyways, that aside, I need some sleep, and a new diaper, so I'll just end it here.

I liked your style in this, it was good. Only thing I noticed was that instead of "quiet" you kept saying "quite" in chapter two, but other than that it was well written.

Ah, I'll fix that when I get the chance, and thanks! Trying to keep the style can be rather tough, because I have a tendency to fool around with this story a little too much (I even wrote a chapter that was based on the telltale heart, but it was so cringe-worthy I had to bury it O.o). Other than that, I love writing for this one, it's just getting near a scanner is my problem, as I'm often away.

No worries!

haha I know what you mean. I've written a few pieces where I'm like...no one must ever see this...

It's fun to write in first person once in a while because you can have a different sort of flow to the story while really revealing a lot more about the main characters personality.

You've got a rather nice story here, that I've enjoyed reading it. I'm looking forward to seeing whatever your next plan is along with what sort of direction as well. Keep up the good work with both the story and drawings.

I just fixed the things you mentioned, I remember seeing them before and being "I should fix that." Before going to bed without doing so.

...I'm weird like that.

I think every writer has written something that doesn't deserve to see the light of day >.<

What mostly inspired this was Emily's diary, although I wanted my version to be a little less plot heavy and have some of my own touches, not to mention not tied down to another another story :P

Thank you, and I hope I don't keep this delayed just because of the drawings. This story doesn't have much of a direction, so don't hand me a compass and map and expect me to tell you where it's going, I think coming up with it as I go is the best for this story's sake (although I'll try not to write myself into a corner).
