Limited Archetypes II
Continuing from the last entry, this time the featured color combinations are Blue-Black, Blue-Red and Blue-Green.
Blue-Black Wettings
Blue-Black is a natural pairing, as both can benefit from creatures wetting themselves. The pair will likely push you towards timing the wettings of your own creatures - and those of your opponent's - so that your payoff cards gain the maximum benefit.
Blue-Red Rapid Desperation
The Blue-Red strategy is all about getting creatures desperate quickly, and then ideally getting them desperate again after they wet themselves. Cards like Vivid Watercaller can allow your creatures to become desperate a second time - especially potent when combined with cards like Volatile Hydromancer. If you can manage a board full of desperate creatures, you may be able to finish the opponent off with Boiling Hot.
Blue-Green Longholds
The Blue-Green strategy focuses on combining green's big-bladdered green creatures (as well as smaller creatures capable of relieving themselves in nature) with the blue ability to fill them up faster. Cards like Tinkle Tinkerer can also provide relief sources to create unexpected swings turns.
